Had the pleasure of having Marty's Burgers during a Yelp Elite Event and I must say, yummmmy! Marty's is located on Center Ave so be sure to pay attention when you're driving because you might miss it. There is metered parking right in front of the restaurant so pay the meters because Fort Lee meter police is on that!! Not to worry, if there is no parking available in the front they also have parking in the back as well (follow the sign). It was Saturday night and from what it seemed, Marty's was kicking (I mean, why wouldn't it be?). They had customers coming in back to back for pick up. I was so pleased to meet with Marty's wife - she's so sweet! She was front of house adding finishing touches on the orders while Marty was cooking his signature burgers in the kitchen! She gave me a background of the restaurant and told me it was only open for a couple of months and I couldn't have been more excited to try it! The check in offered one of the following combo meals: burger, fries and a drink OR chicken sandwich (spicy/regular) with fries and a drink. I ended up going with a spicy chicken sandwich and I tasted the spice! The chicken was tender however, I do wish the protein itself was a bit meatier. I took this home so I was very surprised that the fries did not become soggy, scoreeee. Overall, I liked Marty's. Definitely a place to visit again, next time for burgers!! read more

Marty's burgers, fresh grilled, or fried crispy chicken on Martin potato roll, don't forget a side of fries, fresh cut double fried potatoes with different seasoning or with gravy and cheese (poutine) !! Hidden gem close to Main Street with off street parking and meters available. Take a stroll around Fort Lee after feasting on fries and a burger or crispy chicken sandwich. Indoor tables very limited but all menu items are available for take out or delivery. Will come back to try a burger and some banana pudding. read more

I was pleasantly surprised to see a new burger place open up so close to me and given my recent burger cravings, I naturally had to try this spot out. I ordered a spicy fried chicken sandwich and and single patty cheeseburger combo for takeout. They were both super delicious and juicy. The fried chicken crust was nice and crispy while the meat inside was moist and juicy. It also had a good kick to it, so I think spicy food lovers would appreciate that. The cheeseburger was somewhat reminiscent of in-n-out, but I definitely liked Marty's better, although personally not a fan of the sweet pickles. Everything was well seasoned, fresh, and juicy though. Finally, the original fries were decent, but notably they stay quite crispy even after 30 minutes of picking up my order. I think I would try the seasoned fries next time because the original ones are just a bit too plain for me. Overall 4.5/5 and very pleased to have this spot open up so close to me, and I'm glad I can now stop going to McDonald's for a burger. read more

Marty's has hands down the BEST burgers AND fried chicken sandwich in Bergen County. Unfortunately, I had very upsetting experience tonight. Their 3 young employees in the front were goofing around, on their cell phones, and chatting nonstop. That's fine and all, but they were UNABLE to get my order together. I waited some 30 minutes thinking that maybe they're in a Sunday dinner rush. People were waiting to pick up their food. But I had ordered mine there in person. After waiting 30 minutes, I asked the girl about my order. She forgot my name (which is fine), had already wrongfully taken my order receipt off the line, and found it in the punched receipt stack. I never got my food. HOW HARD IS YOUR JOB? This is not a judgment on the high quality of food they make at Marty's. This is just a bad remark on the irresponsible young staff they hire. The manager saw what happened, finally gave us our food with a complimentary banana pudding, and apologized. I refrained from causing a scene, but it would've been nice if these 3 employees took ownership of failing to do a simple job. None of them apologized. None of them spoke a word to me. PLEASE TRAIN YOUR STAFF BETTER. read more

The food is decent. But the price doesn't justify the food. Last time I went there the cheese fries, which I think the fries are dissatisfying, were upwards to $10? I might be confusing it but regardless I just don't believe you can justify its prices. read more

For me, a die hard Shack Shack lover, extra thick burger and juicy (the liquified fat i guess), this is not a match. But for a normal burger with high quality beef, and very fresh garnish, this place is tops. If that is not enough, a delivery of whole potatoes arrived while we were eating; obviously they make their fries fresh on site! Geared for takeout, seating is sparse, but worth buying a burger here, and the chicken is excellent as well. read more

I recently got take out from Marty's Burgers and overall, it was a great experience. The staff is very polite, and the young male behind the counter (he was asian) does everything he can to make sure that your order is what you what it to be. He took the time to explain my questions about the options available, and because they don't have a fountain soda machine he also made sure that I didn't forget to grab the drink that is included with the combo meal from the drink case on the floor. I personally tried the Spicy Chicken sandwich combination, and it was yummy. - it tasted just like the Popeyes spicy chicken sandwich if you're interested in a flavor profile, but only "homemade". The fries were yummy too with the right amount of crisp and a touch a salt. Unfortunately, as they cooled off, they weren't able to maintain that texture and flavor and I found that they became a tad stale much more quickly than I would have anticipated. I did not have to wait to place my order, but it did take about 15 minutes for my order. Not too long given that I could see the order was being created fresh in the back. However, I do wish they had provided a full lettuce leaf when they were making my burger as mine was super wilty and barely large enough to cover half of the bottom bun. I'll just leave it up to chance that the heat from the fresh spicy chicken wilted my lettuce leaf so. Besides these little hiccups, the service from the staff was great, and the food itself was also yummy. Definitely a place you should try if you're into supporting local businesses! read more

This place is so freaking good! First time, I came it hit the spot! Second time, STILL DID IT!! I got a basic double cheese burger and the salt and vinegar fries. Even though it's a normal cheese burger it was sooo yummy!!! I added a little bit of ketchup and it was BOMB! I can't really explain how good the burger is but just trust me! read more

I came here with a friend during COVID times and was impressed by the safety measures taken. All the workers wore masks, tables were spaced apart, and thorough disinfection of seating areas between each patron. Now let's get to the food: Sandwich- The chicken is CRISPY, JUICY, and FLAVORFUL. The added pickles offer a nice acidic balance and texture. Fries- The fries were extra crispy and offered just enough truffle flavor without being too overpowering. The Parmesan was freshly grated crumbles. I can't wait to visit this spot again! read more

Always spot on. Good meat, cooked perfectly. Menu continues to expand. Nice work Marty and team.

The spot is literally amazing, their burgers and fries are very fresh and very high quality. The service was quick and the restaurant itself was very clean. It' is very reasonably priced and they have many options for even people who are vegans. My friend and I ate the jalapeño burger, the mushroom burger, the fried chicken sandwich, and the truffle fries. It was so delightful, I'll definitely come back here as soon as possible. Also, I feel great after eating 2 burgers and fries, I can run a 5k! THEY ALSO FOLLOWED COVID RULES PERFECTLY! read more

I only had the regular single and regular fries. This is quality beef with fresh ingredients. Service is not much. Just ordered this bullsh*t burger from martys before it closed for the day and I ate undercooked meat. Literally my food was done in 3 mins. Idk who cooked this burger but who ever did it needs to be fired. Every single time I order food from martys in fort lee, there's always a problem with my order. Instead of crew being in a rush to leave early they should of cooked my food properly and payed close attention. I payed almost 13 dollars for an undercooked burger that I might have food poisoning in the morning. I don't recommend this spot to no one unless you willing to rush to the hospital. There customer service skill is ok but the food quality is terrifying. Not only that the burger might potentially have bacteria but I might have food poisoning and bad stomach problems. Never eating here again. Might as well go to burger King or McDonald's to get a better meal quality in my opinion. I wouldn't even give this a star for how many times my food came out messed up. I give Marty a 0 out of 5.how can I post what I ate on here so everyone can see. read more

Ok, pass the burger for the crispy chicken sandwich. Burger is great, but the chicken is better. Crispy outside, but not burnt tasting or oily, inside nice and tender, so flavorful. Perfect spiciness, idk what the sauce was but it is 100. read more

My Wife and I read about Marty's Burgers in Fort Lee, New Jersey and decided to give it a try. What a most amazing establishment. A most friendly staff that goes out of their way to make certain everything goes 100% plus. The burgers are cooked to perfection and taste the same. The French Fries are the best we have ever had. This great restaurant is owned by Lauren and Ryan. A most dynamic couple that are true entrepreneurs and know how to run multiple restaurants successfully. They're beyond creative and give the customers exactly what they came for. The perfect burger . Recently they have added buttermilk coated fresh Chicken Fingers. We have never had anything so delicious. Crispy, pure White Meat that are coated and made fresh to order. When your taste buds tell you they want s great, go to Marty's Burgers and tell Lauren & Ryan that Jaimi & Allan sent you. Enjoy your great meal. Allan read more

Great burger spot in the Fort Lee area, my go to for when I'm feeling a burger. Bun could be better, comes out a bit soft at times, chicken tenders are amazing! My fave. spot in the area for a burger. read more

We finally made it to Marty's! We ordered a spicy chicken sandwich, a double cheeseburger with jalapeños, regular fries and poutine. My favorite was the burger. It was flavorful and cooked perfectly. The fixings were fresh and the seeded roll made the burger. I also enjoyed the spicy chicken sandwich. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned but wish it was actually spicy. Both sandwiches had the perfect ratio of ingredients! I absolutely LOVED the french fries. They were hand cut, freshly made and cooked perfectly. The fries had a crunchy exterior and a fluffy interior. Fries like this are hard to find! We were completely impressed by the freshness and quality of our meal for a fast food restaurant. We are definitely returning real soon! read more

I've been to many burger spots and this has to be the best one by far. I'm not sure what sauce they use but the burger is so juicy and flavorful and is consistently good. Couldn't recommend a burger spot more than this one. I get their double burger with no modifications and it's just perfect. Their fries could use some work and aren't my favorite, but i would opt for their Mac and cheese instead since it's good. The place itself is small but never have an issues finding seating. The food comes out very quick and is consistently good. Def a hidden gem. read more

Marty's is our staple delivery for burgers. We typically order from them once a month. I have never been to the physical location and our place is 10 minutes away by driving. The food has always arrived warm and fresh like I have just got it at the counter. My favorites are the double cheese burger, the bacon avocado and the spicy crispy chicken sandwich. The double cheeseburger is on par with the Shack burger and I have done a taste comparison before. Marty's has slightly thicker patties and taste a little less greasy. Its lettuce is less wilted and tomatoes are firmer. Not sure if it's because of inventory control compared to Shake Shack. I still love my Shake Shack especially since it's readily available anywhere but Marty's never even fails me. If you live in the Fort Lee, Pal Park or Edgewater area, just get your burger here instead of driving to Paramus. Their bacon avocado is a little too rich for me to finish an entire burger but is the Husband's favorite and I always snag a bite. I have tried the other burgers before - if you love mushroom, you will love the mushroom swiss, it's a high end Burger King mushroom swiss. The rocket man is a gourmet burger and a great healthy refreshing option. Finally the jalapeño burger isn't that memorable, probably will need to try it again. The spicy chicken or regular chicken sandwich is crispy, well fried and seasoned and may be a tad over breaded for others but it remains one of my favorite options on the menu. The hot dog is passable. Their fries are thinner and sometimes I wish for their saucy options, they will offer thicker fries (ie cheese and poutine). They had added some Taylor ham options to their menu which I am super excited to try! read more

Overall **** 3.58 Weighted Stars so just making it to Four Stars for me. I was initially reluctant to drive into the heart of Ft Lee due to traffic and parking concerns but the food was worth the risk. They do a brisk take out business and that may be the way to go because it's not going to impress anyone with its design. It can get expensive as you add on but if you control yourself it may be possible to keep the cost down. (11/30/21) Setting *** Number one, it's hard to find, there isn't really a sign and most of the other store fronts are empty so it led me to think it had closed. Metered parking in front and back but I didn't have a problem finding a spot. Marty's is sort of a sushi place that crashed into a 50's diner that crashed into fast food place and everything got commingled. It is a quick serve take out place but does have limited seating inside. It was obviously a sushi place at some point and as mentioned the place itself is a bit of a confusing mish-mosh of themes. The chairs, tables and floor are run down and don't match the stainless steel wrapped counter. There are effectively two menu boards, one from the 50's and the other is modern and backlit that says the same thing as the other so I'm not sure why they need the two. The outside wall is brick and a lot of windows so it's cold in here today and I assume during cooler months. There is only a shared bathroom in the hallway and it doesn't smell great in there. Service **** Because I had trouble finding the place I called to ask where they were and the guy who answered the phone came to the store window to flag me down as I drove by. There was a stunning woman working the counter who was friendly and efficient. Food **** I ordered the Single Cheeseburger and Fries combo, threw on spicy relish for good measure. In retrospect I should have gone with the double as the meat was sort of lost under everything. With that the said the toppings where all very fresh and the burger was delicious. They make their own fries and although I thought they could use a touch more salt they where incredibly crispy, pillowy soft inside and stayed that way. Value *** All in with a can of soda was $14 so not exactly a bargain and the spicy relish was an extra $1.50 which seems a bit much. read more

Marty's chicken sandwiches are hands down the best chicken sandwiches I've had in my life (and I've had quite a few if I say so myself). The presentation has a vibe very similar to Shake Shack with everything having a very visually appealing and instagram-friendly look. But it's not just about the visuals--the chicken sandwiches are juicy, crunchy, and oh so delicious. They use large pieces of thigh meat instead of chicken breast which makes them so much more tasty. I would give a 6/5 if I could. Their other menu items--fries, milkshakes, burgers, and hotdog--are also great, but the chicken sandwich is a must-have. I make sure to order at least 2-3 times a month and quite frankly, so should you. The only minor gripe I have is that the spicy and the regular chicken sandwiches are nearly indistinguishable from one another when packaged. If you plan on ordering both for delivery or take-out, I would make a note asking the staff to label or mark them. read more

What the what!?! How do I not know of this place??? Smack in the middle of Fort Lee, surrounded mostly by Asian restaurants and the name doesn't exactly exclaim 'our burgers are fantastic'. And yet they are, and so are the fries. For the sake of critique I am going to say I wish the fries didn't have so many tiny ittty bitty pieces. But otherwise the fries were yum! So were the burgers. Perfect buns, and smashed patties with a ton of delicious toppings. Can't go wrong with this place. read more

Well damn..I've been sleeping on this place considering it's in my delivery range..I finally got around to trying this place today..I got a bacon cheeseburger and order of fries and figured I'd eat a chicken sandwich late tonight..the burger was solid, really good taste and quality everything. The fries were a big portion! Kind of like five guys, also super tasty and fresh, solid. Usually try a milkshake from new places as well and did the same here, glad I did, strawberry shake was awesome. I was full and going to put my chicken sandwich in the fridge and I tasted a piece of the crispyness sticking out of the bun, I had to take a bigger bite just to see how good the chicken sandwich tasted! This place is pretty new but it is definitely here to stay! What I love is their chicken sandwich! I just love how they use thigh meat instead of breast meat for their sandwich as it's just so much more fatty and juicy! Their truffle fries are also a must try if you're in the area! read more

I wish I took photos before I finished everything. We recently moved to NJ and wanted burgers for easy take out Sunday night dinner. After doing a lot of research online we decided to give this place a try which was 15 mins drive from where we live. We ordered a single burger, double cheese burger, Spicy Crispy fried chicken sandwich, regular fries and old bay fries. Burgers - Reminded me of Shake Shack but better than Shake Shack! the sauce inside of burgers reminded me of in-and out burgers sauce which was super yummy! Spicy Crispy Chicken Sandwich - So juicy and yummy. Every bite I take it was getting better and better. Spicy sauce was good too. Please note that they might use a dark meat which we didn't mind at all! Fries - Generous portion and still crispy even after we drove back home for 15 mins. Both regular and old bay fries were delicious. Looking forward to trying other flavors next time. We think we found our new burger spot!! We will be definitely coming back!!! read more
