The menu is classically simple and food is super good (I had the Impossible burger, my son had the double burger) but their physical location could use some upgrades and renewed presentation. For an establishment that's only open for nearly 2 months, nothing about it looks new and inviting. Doesn't matter too much now, since you can't eat inside during the pandemic but it should still be about creating an experience which is what other classic burger joints do. I think this place is the best burger place around Fort Lee area. The burger was very juicy and you can finish eating within a minutes. Too yummy and I really enjoyed that. I ordered the spicy crispy chicken sandwich and a double cheeseburger with truffle parmesan fries. The cheeseburger is really cheesy and the chicken sandwich is a juicier, more tender, and smaller version of the infamous Popeyes chicken sandwich. I personally like this one better but it's not really spicy, at all. The seasoning on the burger patty and chicken was a bit salty and the fries were a bit stale, BUT overall it was pretty good. Marty's Burger is exactly the thing Fort Lee needed. The burgers are authentic, and I love the malt shop retroness of the store and menu (not that many places that sells just burgers, fries and, shakes anymore!) Price wise, it is fair. Also, it can be comparably to big names like shake shack or five guys. However taste wise, I believe there's a butteriness to the patty that neither of the mentioned stores have. I really love going to this place for their burgers. Very close to shake shack and five guys but way better. I normally do pick ups and they're ready within 10 to 15 minutes, even earlier, if there's not a rush. Everything is really fresh and made to order. However, I do think that they have been skimping on the fries lately. You were getting your money's worth ($3.85) with the amount of fries you would get in one order. One order would be good enough for two people but they've switched their paper trays to fry cups that give you less than what you got before and it's definitely not worth almost four dollars. I also think the fries get more soggy in the fry cup too. I do remember them trying to package the fries differently earlier in the year but I thought it was just with the combo meals. The level of incompetence from martys delivery people is unbelievable! I live in arrive and I put notes to call once downstairs and this is the 2nd time my order has been left by the front door in the lobby! Judt getting cold! The driver never called me! It wasn't until I called martys to see where my food was 20 minutes later! Online ordering was a breeze and I was able to select the time to pick up. I had the griddle dog which was delicious but wish it had more onions and relish. I had the jalapeño burger and it was not spicy at all. They did put a relish but again for me not spicy. The burger was good but I kinda wish I just ordered the original. Had poutine fries. Ordered delivery from Marty's. On the plus side, the burgers are *awesome* and the fries are great. On the downside, they have a delivery surcharge on top of the Grubhub fee.
