On June 28, 2016, I attended a class at the Las Vegas Beauty show and did a lot of research before I decided to purchase the Super Frecator.
I placed a $585.00 deposit on that day for a this merchandise, valued at $4,585.00, which I was told included taxes and shipping.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, I was not able to come up with the remainder of my deposit, ($2000) until 6/2/2017, just shy under the one year mark. I received phone calls from customer service department on a weekly basis following up on my purchase and was continuously told not to worry that I had a year to finalize the deposit to physically receive my merchandise.
On June 2,2017, I finally was able to come of with the monies. I was shy $300 of the balance but was allowed to arrange financing.
The first inconvenience was that I had to personally drive 45 minutes out of my way to pick up the machine because they wanted to charge me an additional $75.00 to ship it, which was supposedly included in the price.
While on the road to pick it up, Lumna Ahsan called and apologized, she said that YES I was within the one year window and shipping WAS included. Too late, I was already on the road. When I arrived, she apologized again and gave me a few face masks for my trouble.
She, then, she proceeded to ask me for a voided check so that future payments can be taken. I told her I did not have my check book and do not use checks and that she should have informed me of this prior to my arrival. I, also, told her that I needed to know when funds would be withdrawn and the amount. She said she did not KNOW that info and that she would get back to me. Never did. She, also, told me that I would be contacted by the trainer within that same week, to begin my training.
After about 3 weeks, she called and texted me over a dozen times asking for the check. I was on a business trip and could not furnish it until I got back, 6/30/2017. At this point, I still had not received a call, nor contact information for training. I was never told that the training was contingent on the voided check.
After, I finally furnished the check, she then proceeds to ask me to sign a form stating that I will NOT be using the machine in the state of California. I refused because this was not true and would have been a fraudulent statement. She told me I HAD to sign it in order to move forward. Something in my gut did not sit right. I then went to the website to look at machine and machine supplies and the unit was not even advertised on the website. I did more research and discovered that this is a "medical device" that should ONLy be sold to medical professionals! This made me very uneasy. Up to this point, this had already been a very unprofessional experience and I decided it was better not to move forward with the purchase.
I, then, received a phone call from Ali Kahn (CEO), (7/12/2017). He explained that these were logistics of the purchase. He apologized and offered me a before/after catalog for marketing purposes, at no cost. He said it would be sent out immediately, never received it! He, also, told me that He would arrange for a one-on-one training by Roslyn, someone with a business in Hayward that has many years experience, with much success, AND in addition, I would, also, get the SKYPE training. He said someone would contact me in a few days, neither ever happened. After explaining to me how prosperous I can be with this unit and how beneficial it would be to my business, he asked me to write a letter stating that I would only be using this machine for minor tattoo repairs and personal use. He said he sells this machine to OTHER estheticians ALL the time and that I can do other services, as long as I stay "under the radar", don't mass advertise, and watch out for State Board, don't get caught or I will be fined. ALL this is unethical and unprofessional! Somehow, he coerced and convinced me. Lumna Ahsan, the accountant I believe, then proceeds to type up several inaccurate statements which I refused to sign. I then wrote a statement that somewhat told the truth, feeling uneasy about it the whole time.
Even, after all that, it is August 1, 2017. I still have not received the catalog, have not received any call from any trainer which was supposed to happen LAST WEEK, AND an unauthorized payment was withdrawn from my account on 7/25/2017, when I specifically told Lumna the funds were not accounted for.
My multiple conversations with staff, Lumna, Rahib, and CEO Ali were very disturbing. I told them that I was no longer interested in doing business with them or the company. They are unethical, shady, sneaky, and extremely unprofessional. read more
