My review is for the clean-up services, since I recently moved to the area and my new home's yard was - well - a hot mess. Aaron, the owner, came out personally to review my job and discuss my future plans. He was never sales-ey, and really listened to what I wanted now, and what my future plans were. Bottom line, they did a great job getting all the leaves and debris from the fall up, cleaned the gutters, and even left all my pebbles in my stone walkway weed and dirt free. It looks absolutely gorgeous. I can't wait until the spring when I plan to do some landscaping and put in a patio. We are in Old Town, so Aaron said they can make the stone work look period and thought of some great natural stone options. He also found a solution for a major drainage issue we had. I'll be honest, he wasn't my "cheapest" quote, but I felt like I was in really good hands and the job he did, and what we're talking about in the future, will be done right.

This was after I hired and PAID the company to perform a landscape project to remove bamboo, ivy and lay sod. The 'Landscape Design' seemed like a standard add-on to the contract something to generate alittle extra money without actually doing any work. I wonder how many other clients have received the exact same landscape design and have forked over the $200 for what. Based on the email response below generated from an estimate request, I would give this company an F in professionalism and an F- in arragonce. Bottom Line - my review is DON'T BOTHER. There are plenty other Landscape companies out there that are willing to work with their clients and not assume that they know what a client wants without asking them. I recently contacted Denchfield Landscaping to design a garden for my small front yard. I wanted a…read moregarden featuring ornamental grasses and I wanted minimal upkeep. Dimensions of my front yard are about 28' long, and 11' wide (on either side of a middle walkway). I received an initial estimate of $5,600, which seemed high. Because no design was included, I paid $375 for a schematic which would have been refunded if I hired Denchfield. Her design was so busy and full of plants, they could not have possibly fit into the space. For starts, at the front of the house on both sides is a small, triangular section bordered by a pathway. This area measures 10' x 6' x 4'. In each of these spaces she plotted 13 plants - 3 dwarf laurel evergreens (8' spread at maturity with spacing of 8' apart each) and 11 autumn bride heucheras (24" spread at maturity with spacing of 20" apart). In what universe did this design make sense? I won't go into more details, but the design for the rest of the yard was equally absurd. I wrote her with examples of why I thought the plants she recommended wouldn't fit the space. She responded that I couldn't rely on the internet for accurate plant size. When I informed her that I got those dimensions from the Denchfield website she wrote "I guess I should check out our website." She mentioned that Denchfield would not charge for plants that weren't installed. Even so, there is no way her design could work, even with fewer plants. PS. Along with the schematic she also included a revised estimate - $5,900! Buyer beware.
