My husband and I were so confused about what pavers to use for our back yard in Boston. It is a very expensive project, and clearly we did not want to make a mistake. I've gone to Martignetti's occasionally for years for various items and materials, and every time the people in the office at the sales desk, including Al, Marco, Corey and Kevin, and in the yard (where materials are loaded) have been helpful, patient, efficient and friendly. Recently we've needed various materials and a number of granite slabs of four different sizes. They were awaiting one particular size of slab from their supplier, and when it hadn't arrived after several days of waiting, they offered to cut down and edge larger pieces that they had, at no extra charge, and did it for us within an hour. Al is my usual contact, and he's a great person, with a great sense of humor. They're often very busy, with lots of customers and the phones ringing, so be patient. If I was able to do 0 stars I definitely would have. I bought granite from there and it is horrible. It came with a few chips and I didn't complain but as days went on I was noticing orange colored stains popping up. I called my mason and he was also very surprised to see this. I called Martignetti's and explained what happened and was asked to send pictures. I sent pictures immediately and was told they would get right back to me. After a couple weeks I emailed Corey and was told he is working on it and will get back to me . Still nothing and it's been over a month. I then sent another email 2 days ago and no response. This shows me not only is their product horrible but they do not care about customer satisfaction at all. I would NOT recommend them. It's a expensive lesson learned. read more

We bought stone tile here through our interior designer, and when we dropped by to pick up the tile, the guys loaded the tile into the truck plus five bags of mortar. We had no idea how much mortar we needed, and they didn't ask us if we wanted it. They just loaded it in and charged us for it. We ended up needing only one bag of the mortar. Don't trust these guys if you're not sure what you need. read more

We first ended up here when we bought a scratch and dent pallet of blue stone Al put up on Craigslist. The property is huge and they have a fantastic selection of stone products (granite, bluestone, veneer, gravel, etc). Al was very personable and offered some great insight for our DIY patio project. We went back to buy the nextgel he suggested for finishing things off. We definitely intend to head back the next time we find ourselves in need of a product they carry. read more

I purchased stone from Martignetti's and I was told the truck would be delivering the stone in the morning. Waited all day. It finally arrived at 8:00pm. All I ask, is just let me know, they failed to do so. My mason was using the stone that looked beautifully on the top of the pallet, however, when he reached about halfway down he noticed, cement like slabs. We continued to use the stone/ slabs on the wall then stopped, due to the fact that, it was not matching the rest of the wall in the color, not size or shape. I called a number of times to talk to one of the brothers who are the owners and even left my phone number and never received a return call. I went to another brickyard and thankfully they had the same stone. They mentioned to me that, when job sites are done with their stone they give it back to brickyards, (he went on by saying his brickyard does not have this policy). because they have no more use for it, plus they would need to pay to get rid of it. Martignetti's picks up all used material and Mixes some in each pallet. I will be very careful next time , now that I am educated on this, but moreover, all I ask is let me know. Don't hide it. Pros: They have all the material you need for any masonry job. They have good quality products and the staff in the office are very knowledgable. Cons: The staff in the back yard are TERRIBLE ! One of our guys was waiting in the yard to get loaded and it took over an hour before someone came over to load us up. The actual loading took about 5 mins. This has happened twice now...Not sure sure if we will be returning. read more

Worst mason supply shop around! People there are so rude They may have a large selection but it is worth shopping around . Most things there are Half price else where. I've been a mason for 38 years and I've never been treated so bad , I will never return there. read more

Zero stars should be given to this deplorable "establishment". My contractor was in this place standing in line. The rude man behind the counter was being unhelpful and rude to another patron saying they were out of stock of something. My contractor told the patron of another place that sold the item. These deplorables screamed at my contractor and said "Get the fuck out of here" and wouldn't serve him because he told the guy of somewhere else that sold the product he needed. Completely embarrassed him. My company has spent thousands of dollars at this place, not one more penny will be spent. I called to complain and was told by the owner "sorry you feel that way". No real apology. People aren't allowed to talk to other people in the store? Shame on them. Shocking, disgusting customer service. If I'm in Home Depot and I hear someone saying that they are out of something, I'm not allowed to say "Oh hey they have that at Lowes". ???? DISGUSTING. Shameful. read more

We've always had great dealings with the Martignetti family. They've supplied products to our company for 40 years without incident. They've always gone above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied. And, with the winters being so tough on us all, they were always open to load our sanders, regardless of the time of day. Martignetti Enterprises was recommended to me by a co-worker of mine. I was in the market for "natural looking" stone to use around our new fireplace. Al was great and took the time to show me around the showroom (and outside) to explain all of the different options and products that would work for our project. I did not feel pressured to make a decision on the spot the day that I visited-- I was able to come back a week later with my final decision and Al helped me through the ordering process. The staff out back was very helpful in loading my car and making sure the material purchased was in tact and not broken. Also did a great job custom milling-down my hearthstone so it could be flush with my hardwood floors (though it was extremely fragile as a result). Price was very reasonable as well. Martignetti was recommended by a friend when we decided to depave and then put cobblestones in our driveway. We did this pretty much on a whim, trusting it would all come together. And, thanks to Martignetti in general, and Al Martignetti in particular, it did! Al was terrific, calmly helping us find the right stones, figure out the correct amount, and explaining what to do. When we realized we had ordered way too much material, he never made us feel bad and kindly altered the order, despite it being last minute. I would recommend them highly. read more
