Marston's had me at the stack of warm rolls they served our table before the main meal. Soft, fluffy, savory and melt in your mouth; we couldn't stop stuffing these muffin-shaped puffs into our mouths. I think they're called poppers, and they're the bomb. On to the entrees -- my fish tacos came perfectly grilled with a bit of char on the outside and a nice side of black beans. Filling and super tasty. My partner's spinach salad brought together a great combo of cheese pears and greens, with a lovely dressing. Our drinks -- G&T and an Old Fashioned -- were balanced and well mixed, not too weak, not too strong. Awesome This location isn't huge but it has a warm and cozy -- and maybe a bit upper-scale -- ambiance, with a couple of semi-separate dining areas and a bar. There's outdoor seating too. Service is A++ too. attentive but not hovering. Recommended.

My wife and I have been going to Marston's for many years. All of their food is good, but their breakfast and lunch menu outshine the dinner menu. They have a pleasant build-out and an attentive staff. They are often busy for breakfast, so you may have to wait a bit, but it's worth it. In addition to their inside dining, they have a good sized patio with shade cover, heaters and a fire pit. Our go-to for breakfast is the Old Town Omelette. It's a large omelette, filled with cheese and topped with pico de gallo and a mild chili. It's served with home style potatoes and choice of toast or English muffin. The coffee is always good and hot, and their orange juice is first-rate!

It has been a long time since I paid Marstons a visit. Let me start with the patio. It is much larger than I remember. The seating is comfortable, the tables are not on top of eachother, it is covered and enclosed from the parking lot, it is definitely quieter than inside and they have table fly spinners, which were needed. The menu is extensive for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktails. The bar area and dining room together provides a lot of seating options, but also gets very loud when filled. We sat outside; didn't need them but there were outdoor heaters throughout. Our server was attentive and nice. She was hustling the entire time as I think they were short staff, but we never felt neglected. We ordered the ricotta scramble and 7 grain pancakes to split . The scramble arrived on a large plate atop two pieces of sourdough toast. The eggs were lightly scrambled with ricotta cheese, avocado and herbs on top - so creamy and tasty. We ordered a half order of pancakes which was more than enough to split. We enjoyed the heck out of them and the strawberries, blackberries and bananas on top. We had told our server we were going to split both orders and she brought us 2 empty plates in advance which was very considerate. The prices reflect the quality of food and doing business in SVC. I appreciate the convenient location and easy parking. Even though it has been a long time, I can say the food choices are wonderful and consistent. We received good service as I am sure you will too.

What a great find. We were looking for a place to have breakfast and found this place across from my doctor's office.. Food came fast and was delicious . We will definitely come back here again.

Named the #1 place to dine in for breakfast by bomb.com 5 years and running. (I may have made up that fact) but the fact that this place is so delicious you could have my made up malarkey be a certified accreditation. Fun little space with plenty of interesting decor and a board with specials and specialty drinks. This place is awesome, not to be confused with other restaurants around town this is THE Chef McC we're talking about and his establishment is quite top notch. The health food taste healthy and drinks are usually VERY tasty. Think my server was a bit preoccupied between serving us and taking phone orders. But she managed to pull it off. I completely and wholeheartedly endorse the pulled pork Benedict. It's the signature dish here. Simply you cannot go wrong with it. The sweetness and tangy sauces mix together and create a phenomenal medley of flavors. The tables fill up quickly so get yourself in here and try it out.

I've passed by this little breakfast and lunch spot for years and finally decided to give it a try. I walked inside and it was packed , everyone seemed to be enjoying their meals as well as each other's company. The decor was straight to the point, dine in seating. Even though it was almost lunchtime, I was really in the mood for breakfast. I ordered the two eggs and sausage breakfast with a blueberry pancake on the side. The eggs were cooked just right, and the sausage had great flavor, really tasty! The blueberry pancake wasn't my favorite, it was a little flat and dry, but still edible. The person who took my order was super friendly, which made the visit even nicer.

Loveeeee this place! The food is outstanding, and consistent, service is the best in Valencia (most of the small chain restaurants are not run well). The owner takes a lot of pride in his place and is very hands on. We just can't get enough and so happy to have a place like this near home

Came to Marston's for Sunday brunch and it was quite packed, inside and outside! We waited for our table and were seated pretty quickly indoors. Most of us ordered breakfast items, I went with the San Pasqual omelete (bacon, cheddar and avocado) with a slice of rye toast and their potatoes. We also ordered their french toast for the table. Food came out very quickly, service was really attentive, even the owner was working around the restaurant. Omelets were pretty good, decent amount of ingredients, but a little lacking in the meat. The potatoes are okay, I do like how they add onions and peppers to it. The French toast was phenomenal, had a crunchy corn flake layer on the outside giving it great texture and flavor. This was my favorite part of the meal for sure! Their lunch menu looks really good, especially their salads and sandwiches and hope to try it the next time I'm in town.

Great ambiance and service. My omelette was delicious but truly the French toast was the best! So crispy and delicious!

Fantastic! We started coming here a few months ago. On our second visit after a couple weeks had passed, our waitress Celestina remembered us and our previous orders. It's very rare it get service at her level. She truly cares about her customers. The food is consistent and always fresh. Celestina makes one of the best bloody Mary's I've had. It's now a regular spot for us.

You're drawn in by the familiar, comfortable design featuring mirrored signs with writing in Victorian style fonts that continue onto the menus. They have marble tables and counters, with comfortable chairs, and lots of light coming in through the windows. The staff is all smiles and very welcoming, happy to help you navigate the very interesting bill of fare, and making sure your cocktail is made exactly as you like. I was dining solo, so I sat at the bar, and James took excellent care of me from start to finish. I asked for a Bombay Sapphire Martini with Olives; James immediately offered regular or blue cheese-stuffed olives, and asked if I preferred the martini shaken or stirred. The drink that emerged was well-balanced, cold and very tasty. The menu is filled with all sorts of interesting choices. Some are familiar items like salads and fishes and hamburgers or cheesesteak sandwiches done in their way -- but my eye immediately went to a very unique starter: Duck Fat Potato Confit. Say what? As James explained, it is a whole potato that has been slow cooked in duck fat (confit, as we know) and served as the main attraction in the dish as one might similarly feature a duck leg or short rib. I had to order this, and it turned out to be one of the most rewarding dishes I've eaten in a long time. The aforementioned, slow-cooked potato initially appears a bit like a whole boiled potato, but looks are deceiving. Because of the cooking method, the potato holds it's consistency and shape much more than a boiled or baked potato, cutting almost like a protein. It's solid but tender, and as it has absorbed quite a bit of flavor during the cooking, this potato is far tastier on its own than those other iterations. But you are NOT eating this potato unadorned. Oh no, this potato is dressed with caramelized onions, smoky bacon lardons, wild mushrooms and a rich, very flavorful demi-glace. All together, you've layers upon layers of flavor that make you ignore all distractions and really concentrate on the pleasure you're getting from your food. But that's not all... Perhaps the cleverest element of a dish composed entirely of clever elements is the Mornay Sauce. Snow white, and with enough of just the right cheese to add texture to the Bechemel without becoming too powerful, the sauce is plated on the bottom, with the potato resting atop it. Visually, this looks like mashed potatoes served underneath a protein, and it plays the same role texturally -- but because you wouldn't serve potatoes with a potato, the sauce is a lighter accompaniment, whose flavor marries perfectly with the more complex sauce coming from above, and you cannot help but marvel at this stroke of culinary magic. Just wow. I finished with a dessert of Key Lime Budino, which was rich and creamy with a serious hit of sour from the Key Lime. A nice and refreshing shift after the savory richness of my entree. How lucky are the people of Newhall and Santa Clarita that they have a restaurant making such interesting and excellent food? I come up at least once a month for a music event, and how lucky am I to have discovered this place to eat beforehand? And by the way: if you live in the San Fernando Valley, this place is really less than 30 minutes away (without traffic), so the next time you're thinking of going over the hill to a place in Beverly Hills or Santa Monica, you may want to head North instead. I promise you, The Old Town Junction will become your new favorite.

Keep in mind they close at 3. We have had many different breakfast plates, tuna melt, Ortega chill burgers, and the Chinese chicken salad. Let's start with breakfast. Huge portions, the best ham steak ever, thick and tender. The bacon is always crispy. Both the country potatoes and the hash browns are so flavorful. Oh and the biscuits and gravy are so yummy. Every burger, sandwich, and salad we've had have been delicious. The hardest part is fighting the desire to try something new because everything we have had we want again. Let's talk French fries. The French fries arrive like a small golden miracle -- crisp-edged, sunlit, audibly whispering as they spill onto the plate. They crackle when you touch them, release a sigh of steam when broken open, and taste like everything good about potatoes ever dreamed of becoming. Each one is salted with confidence, hot enough to make you impatient, perfect enough to forgive yourself for eating them all and not sharing The fries may be golden, but the staff is the real sparkle. The change of pace from the city was immediately noticeable--the open views, calm atmosphere, and small-town feel created the kind of ambience that makes you want to linger over coffee a little longer. I came in with one thing on my mind: a classic fried steak and eggs. When the plate arrived, it delivered exactly what you hope for from a hearty breakfast--crispy, golden breading on the steak, tender inside, paired with eggs cooked just right. It was comforting, satisfying, and full of flavor without being overly heavy. My girlfriend, who is expecting and arrived with a serious appetite, chose the Eggs Florentine. The dish was beautifully balanced: perfectly poached eggs resting over fresh spinach, topped with a smooth, rich hollandaise that tied everything together. The flavors were clean, fresh, and well executed. What stood out most was how fresh and flavorful everything tasted. Nothing felt rushed or overly processed, just well-prepared breakfast classics served in a setting that encourages you to relax and enjoy the moment. Between the delicious food and the peaceful scenery, the experience felt like a small escape from the everyday rush. A memorable breakfast spot in Agua Dulce. I'll definitely be making another stop here the next time I'm in the area.
