Marston's had me at the stack of warm rolls they served our table before the main meal. Soft, fluffy, savory and melt in your mouth; we couldn't stop stuffing these muffin-shaped puffs into our mouths. I think they're called poppers, and they're the bomb. On to the entrees -- my fish tacos came perfectly grilled with a bit of char on the outside and a nice side of black beans. Filling and super tasty. My partner's spinach salad brought together a great combo of cheese pears and greens, with a lovely dressing. Our drinks -- G&T and an Old Fashioned -- were balanced and well mixed, not too weak, not too strong. Awesome This location isn't huge but it has a warm and cozy -- and maybe a bit upper-scale -- ambiance, with a couple of semi-separate dining areas and a bar. There's outdoor seating too. Service is A++ too. attentive but not hovering. Recommended.

My wife and I have been going to Marston's for many years. All of their food is good, but their breakfast and lunch menu outshine the dinner menu. They have a pleasant build-out and an attentive staff. They are often busy for breakfast, so you may have to wait a bit, but it's worth it. In addition to their inside dining, they have a good sized patio with shade cover, heaters and a fire pit. Our go-to for breakfast is the Old Town Omelette. It's a large omelette, filled with cheese and topped with pico de gallo and a mild chili. It's served with home style potatoes and choice of toast or English muffin. The coffee is always good and hot, and their orange juice is first-rate!

It has been a long time since I paid Marstons a visit. Let me start with the patio. It is much larger than I remember. The seating is comfortable, the tables are not on top of eachother, it is covered and enclosed from the parking lot, it is definitely quieter than inside and they have table fly spinners, which were needed. The menu is extensive for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktails. The bar area and dining room together provides a lot of seating options, but also gets very loud when filled. We sat outside; didn't need them but there were outdoor heaters throughout. Our server was attentive and nice. She was hustling the entire time as I think they were short staff, but we never felt neglected. We ordered the ricotta scramble and 7 grain pancakes to split . The scramble arrived on a large plate atop two pieces of sourdough toast. The eggs were lightly scrambled with ricotta cheese, avocado and herbs on top - so creamy and tasty. We ordered a half order of pancakes which was more than enough to split. We enjoyed the heck out of them and the strawberries, blackberries and bananas on top. We had told our server we were going to split both orders and she brought us 2 empty plates in advance which was very considerate. The prices reflect the quality of food and doing business in SVC. I appreciate the convenient location and easy parking. Even though it has been a long time, I can say the food choices are wonderful and consistent. We received good service as I am sure you will too.

Named the #1 place to dine in for breakfast by bomb.com 5 years and running. (I may have made up that fact) but the fact that this place is so delicious you could have my made up malarkey be a certified accreditation. Fun little space with plenty of interesting decor and a board with specials and specialty drinks. This place is awesome, not to be confused with other restaurants around town this is THE Chef McC we're talking about and his establishment is quite top notch. The health food taste healthy and drinks are usually VERY tasty. Think my server was a bit preoccupied between serving us and taking phone orders. But she managed to pull it off. I completely and wholeheartedly endorse the pulled pork Benedict. It's the signature dish here. Simply you cannot go wrong with it. The sweetness and tangy sauces mix together and create a phenomenal medley of flavors. The tables fill up quickly so get yourself in here and try it out.

I've passed by this little breakfast and lunch spot for years and finally decided to give it a try. I walked inside and it was packed , everyone seemed to be enjoying their meals as well as each other's company. The decor was straight to the point, dine in seating. Even though it was almost lunchtime, I was really in the mood for breakfast. I ordered the two eggs and sausage breakfast with a blueberry pancake on the side. The eggs were cooked just right, and the sausage had great flavor, really tasty! The blueberry pancake wasn't my favorite, it was a little flat and dry, but still edible. The person who took my order was super friendly, which made the visit even nicer.

Came to Marston's for Sunday brunch and it was quite packed, inside and outside! We waited for our table and were seated pretty quickly indoors. Most of us ordered breakfast items, I went with the San Pasqual omelete (bacon, cheddar and avocado) with a slice of rye toast and their potatoes. We also ordered their french toast for the table. Food came out very quickly, service was really attentive, even the owner was working around the restaurant. Omelets were pretty good, decent amount of ingredients, but a little lacking in the meat. The potatoes are okay, I do like how they add onions and peppers to it. The French toast was phenomenal, had a crunchy corn flake layer on the outside giving it great texture and flavor. This was my favorite part of the meal for sure! Their lunch menu looks really good, especially their salads and sandwiches and hope to try it the next time I'm in town.

Hidden in the parking lot but it's a cute spot. I just thought the back patio could have been swept up more. The syrup for the pancakes were cold. And the pancakes didn't come out exactly warm. I wasn't impressed by the pancakes. Nor was my son. I would have looked and realized it bc went eaten. And taken it off the bill. But that's just me. ‍ French Toast was great! We had brunch on Sunday and we expected there to be a wait for a table. That was fine, but we waited a good 20 minutes for our waitress and then another half hour for the food. That was not fine. The french fries that came with my mom's pulled pork sandwich were nice and hot and she said her sandwich was excellent, especially the bread. My husband and I had pulled pork benedict and poached eggs and the hollandaise were great, even if the hollandaise was in no way, shape or form spicy. The house potatoes, however, were very disappointing--not hot and seemed like they were left over from two days ago. read more

My mother loves Marston's and how Jim and his staff would take care of her diabetic needs when dinning there. Today, I wanted to surprise her by ordering some breakfast to go. I ordered at 8:16 am and got a notice that the order would be ready after 8:36 am. When I got there I was met by the manager in charge Erin who told me that they would let me know when the food is ready. I looked at the time and it was 8:55. I questioned why it wasn't ready since I got an email that it was ready at 8:36 am. Erin said that they are busy and will bring out the order when it is ready followed by a "sorry - not sorry" smile. 5 minutes later a younger lady apologized for the delay and she would handle the order. I walked out the door at 9:38 with my order. If I was the owner, I would fire Erin. There is no room to have an employee full of piss and vinegar. Let alone a person like this should not be in the restaurant business. read more

I LOVE their variety of food options for breakfast and lunch. I enjoy getting an omelet with a mimosa for my usual Sunday brunch. The ambiance is great and their food is always tasty! I recently came to help their business and ordered breakfast. I found out they were helping their community by selling a dozen to a tray of eggs! I struggled to find some in my local grocery stores, so it was nice to find that they were offering some for their customers! My sister and I bought some for our home and made grocery shopping that much easier!!! Thank you so much!! read more

Food is always good with the portions being on point. The service is always great. I noticed on my last visit this location was understaffed and it was clear that the staff were overworked and not flowing as they usually do. Not docking points for that, because we are humans and don't always have our best days. I empathize with the staff and took some time to ask our lovely waitress how she was doing. The ambiance in the patio was fine. We were talking with other tables and having a jolly old time. Thank you Marstons! read more

Went for breakfast this morning since it was cool enough to eat outside. Ordered eggs Benedict with the Florentine option, spinach, tomato and generous avocado. It was the most perfect poached egg ever. I like Egg plantation but this was actually better and no wait for a table. Can't wait to go back. read more

Well-known local eatery in Valencia. Packed during brunch time so it can be difficult to get the attention of a server. We ordered the pulled pork benedict, tempura salmon fish and chips, Jimmy breakfast burrito, and the California orange salad. The salad was pleasant with refreshing citrus and grilled chicken, however, the dressing was too sweet. Similarly, the pulled pork benedict had a BBQ sauce that was syrupy sweet, and the hollandaise was not glossy. The Tempura salmon fish and chips were crunchy but not the tempura that I expected as it is a darker brown and harder. Portion sizes are adequate. read more

Yummy!! Best French toast ever! Great service my favorite spot for breakfast when I'm visiting California. Located in a upscale area but priced right!! Located close by is a duck pond so don't forget your box of cheerios. Huge parking lot so you never struggle to find parking and they have a great outdoor dining area too!! read more

We absolutely Love this place on the weekends, unfortunately, tonight, again was really late on getting our dinner, 1st off, we were there at 6:30pm, it took 10 minutes to get anything, (mind you) there were only about Approx 15 to 20 people in the inside, really slow for a Saturday evening, we had a child, + 3 adults it took almost over 35+ minutes for appetizer, and food, the waiter was really SLOW! Couldn't find him, we finally left at 8:15 pm, I'm really sad! The night crew needs to step it up! read more

Went to Marston's for lunch on a Thursday. It was fairly packed. We love their outside seating and had a nice table on the patio. The service was a bit slow, but we didn't mind as it was pretty busy. But the servers were very professional and attentive. We each ordered Mai Tai's which were very good and not lacking in alcohol. I had the bacon burger with a side salad. The burger was fantastic and cooked just the way I like it. Good portion of bacon and plenty of avocado. Overall, it was fantastic. My wife had a sandwhich that has sliced Tri-tip that was equally good. Overall, a fantastic lunch. read more

My friend's family who we were visiting brought me here. It was 7 of us and they quickly accommodated us because there wasn't any service at the local church. The service was amazing and the owner came to greet us and is also the chef. Thank you again. We ordered takeout here and OMG! ...I can't get over the wonderful flavors in the Pulled Pork Benedict. Juicy pulled pork that has a combination of sweet and salty with some spicy hollandaise on top. Went here on a recommendation. Place was packed, but we got a table within 10 minutes. Took a while for waitress to come over and take our order. Got a tuna sandwich which was average and person I was with got a grilled cheese which was also mediocre. Price point is high for quality of food. Had to actually get up to get attention of waitress to pay bill. Will return one more time and try something different next time and hope for a better experience. read more

Went here for a Family Brunch on Sunday as we were celebrating a birthday and a graduation. Most everyone ordered a breakfast item (I had the Denver Omelet which was just outstanding. They do appear to have a full bar but, I just had an Arnold Palmar to start off the day. The service was fast and friendly and I must say, overall I was very impressed. I love marston's. And I love their eggs benedict. But it may be time to review the proper way to make hollandaise sauce with the chefs. The Hollandaise sauce that we received on our eggs benedict was simply melted butter with scrambled egg pieces in it. Probably just time for some continuing education for the chefs. And the manager was kind enough to take it off our bill. And my hamburger, the purest, was one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. read more

My daughter took me here for my birthday brunch. I t was superb! I have been doing the Keto lifestyle for 6 months and they had "egg-cellent" breakfast choices-I just skipped the scrumptious looking biscuits and toast. I ate at Marston's for the first time yesterday, accompanied by my girlfriend and her cousin. Girlfriend ordered a turkey sandwich, saving half for me that I could have for dinner. She hadn't said anything about whether she liked it, so in the evening a bit into the sandwich to find PROCESSED turkey meat. Not only was it processed but it had a rubbery consistency and was the worst processed meat I've ever tasted...the texture so bad that it buried the taste! I called my girlfriend shortly afterward and she reported the same reaction as I had but hadn't wanted to bring it up at lunch as I was paying the bill ($80 for the three of us). I had the Chinese chicken salad, which was a two-star meal and not nearly as good as the Chinese chicken salad served at a restaurant located in the same shopping plaza. Girlfriend's cousin didn't mention whether she enjoyed her sandwich (a different sandwich) but Girlfriend said it looked like it was mostly lettuce. I am vacillating between one or two stars for this place. While the food was a zero, we had good service and a nice ambiance. read more

Food was mediocre. We got The Works French toast and a breakfast burrito. The French toast lacked flavor. It tasted like plain corn flakes over the bread. Nothing special about the breakfast burrito. Customer service was the most disappointing part. My husband found a dirty piece of paper in his coffee while he was drinking it. Upon alerting the staff, the guy seemed to have used the same cup and just took the paper out. A new cup should have been given! When we complained to the waitress, she said "well didn't you drink some already?" How rude! Will never come back here. read more

I came here for the second time today with a friend. I got a mushroom swiss burger and my friend Doug got the fish tacos. Our waiter Pratrick D was very attentive. The burger was cooked to perfection and the fries were delicious. My friend Doug really enjoyed his fish tacos. The prices are very affordable. We paid $34.17 for 2 meals with 2 glasses of water. Wow! It's not easy to mess up breakfast food but it IS however easy to make it forgettable. Let me tell you something, Marston's has the BEST breakfast I've ever had. It was UNFORGETTABLE! Lots of tables well spaced in their outdoor dining patio and in the sidewalk. Wait was a bit long on a Sunday mid-morning so got takeout and ate outdoors elsewhere. The Chorizo and Egg Burrito was so good and flavorful! Lots of chorizo, eggs, potatoes, peppers, and avocado with a touch of sour cream! Ate 1/2 and had the other half later and it was still very good! Would definitely get this again for breakfast/brunch! read more

Chef/Owner Jim McCardy only uses the freshest ingredients in his dishes. We are well known for our cornflake crusted Fantastic French Toast, Pulled Pork Eggs Benedict with spicy hollandaise sauce, and our California Orange Salad with house made San Pasqual dressing. Also try our delicious Bloody Mary or specialty Mimosas. If you haven't tried us yet for dinner, you're missing out! Chef Jim updates the menu every couple of weeks with the freshest meat and seafood in town. We open at 5pm Tuesday through Sunday for dinner and Happy Hour is served 5pm to 7pm. My friend really liked his drink Bramblin' Man ($17), which had strong notes of bourbon and blackberry. I wasn't super hungry, but the braised short rib looked amazing so I got that for $43. It was very tender, but I personally found it bland especially on the inside. I asked for additional sauce so I could drench each bite in the sauce. My favorite part of the plate was surprisingly the potato croquette, which was perfectly crispy and well flavored. My friend got the chicken club ($23), which he enjoyed. I ate the entire thing so when my main entree arrived I was actually already getting full lol. I got the blackened chicken sandwich which is my go to at Wolf Creek, it is a delicious sandwich that makes me feel very satisfied. I'm excited to eat it today for lunch since I took it to go because I was full from the shrimp. The sandwich comes with fries and you have the choice of plain or Cajun seasoning, I chose to go with plain and they were exactly how I like them. Ate there the first week they were open. found the decor to be just okay, kind of loud in the the building. Asked to sit at the bar. Was fun to watch the cooks do their thing. Wife and I split the french toast and the California Omelet. Both were great! The eggs were silky and soft and the the french toast was amazing. It is coated in cereal! Upon our second trip we were shocked how busy it was. It was like a different place. The service was off. Our server was good but there was a manager that had such a scowl on her face the whole time it was uncomfortable. The food was just okay this time. I noticed it was different cooks than we saw at the bar before and my eggs were brown and nearly burned. My wife went back for lunch yesterday and said she had a Red Pepper Chicken Sandwich with Pesto. She said the mayo tasted off and the pepper wasn't cooked all the way and her sweet potato fries were not hot. Being nervous to say anything because it was the same floor manager she opted not to say anything at all. Its clear to me the concept is good and the menu is well thought out but something has changed. I know there is a lot of turn over in new places. Lets hope this place gets it right soon or it wont make it. Ill change my review if they change it back to what is was the first time. Will be interesting to see what happens with dinner when they open. The first time we went in they said 2 - 3 weeks. This time we were told July. Marston's in Valencia is a bit of a local phenomenon. Come breakfast time, it's as packed as the last train home on a Friday night. Every local and distant relatives have made this their morning pit-stop. But many don't realize that Marston's also serves dinner, making it a viable option for later in the day too. The indoors environment has a full bar which is nice if you want to watch the game on a Saturday or Sunday morning. That is really nice when you watch English Premier league soccer. The tables are nicely spaced with tables and booths. The outdoor patio at Marston's is a real treat. Whether you're there basking in the morning sunshine or under the stars, it's quite the spot. And there's a firepit that adds a nice touch, making you contemplate a night-long stay. When it comes to food, Marston's doesn't disappoint. The omelettes are a safe bet and the pancakes are worth the hype. But it's the sizeable dinner menu that's the real unsung hero here, offering something for everyone. What I particularly enjoyed was the calm atmosphere during dinner time. It's a welcome contrast to the bustling breakfast scene. And if you're planning to brave the breakfast crowd, do yourself a favor and make a reservation. It'll save you from playing human Tetris. It is rare that I am impressed enough with a restaurant that I will write a review. Not that I'm difficult to please at all, it's just that most places are pretty good, so they kind of blend together. Marston's is different. The service is superb, constantly beyond expectation. I'm so used to being in restaurants and if you need something, you have to flag someone down to grab your server. In Marston's whoever you talk to will assist you immediately. It's as if they have a standard practice that it's everyone's job to bend over backwards to make sure everyone's need is anticipated and met before they even though they need something. I have never experienced a team so cohesive and complimentary to each other. The host is constantly finding ways to cheerfully add pleasantries to your day, share a story, a joke and make your visit awesome and unparalleled. The food is without a doubt ALWAYS delicious. And when you add avocado, you don't just get a few slivers, you get a WHOLE avocado. Not that they promise this - that is just my experience. AND what do you pay for this kind of 5 star treatment? Not much at all. It's very reasonably priced. You cannot go wrong with a visit to Marston's - it's our breakfast of choice when we go out to eat in the morning. Having been to the Pasadena location, I was very excited that Marstons was opening in the Santa clarita valley. Having extremely high expectations, Marstons Valencia met them all. I arrived at 11:10 not knowing that they stopped serving breakfast at 11. They told me it wasn't a problem and seated us promptly. I had the French toast, and it was amazing. Cooked to perfection! It tasted the same as the Pasadena location. My friend ordered the chicken club. She loved it! The blackbean mayo gave it a different taste, combined with the Dijon mustard, bacon and avocado was a recipe for heaven!!! Our server, by the name of Melanie was extremely attentive and helpful. She anticipated our every want. I must say, everyone was very sweet. I am extremely impressed with the service and food. I've read the reviews and am surprised at how many single stars this place has received. What a pity! I'm glad to finally have a great place that's not a chain in Valencia! Our server provided excellent service while the patio atmosphere maintained a peaceful and comfortable setting. The restaurant stands as a preferred spot for both brunch and small events among local residents. Our dining experience at the restaurant failed to match the expectations we had for the food quality. The crab cakes in my crab cake Benedict dish were dry and overcooked which made it difficult to detect any crab flavor. The eggs lacked proper cooking which created an unbalanced taste experience in the dish. The omelet my partner received was average but needed more seasoning. They have a warm atmosphere and welcomes pets on their outdoor seating area and maintains its charming atmosphere through excellent staff but its kitchen preparation methods show unpredictable results. I would consider revisiting but I would not actively seek another visit at this time. read more

Marston's is our #1 go to restaurant in Valencia, and here's why. Every part of the experience there has been thoughtfully (and yet not pretentiously) constructed with the diner's experience in mind. This fact could not be made more clear than when you see the chef/owner (Jim) walking around, checking on everyone, making sure they're happy. I see this almost every single time we visit. The staff at Marston's always make us feel like special guests when we're there. Which is key to why we keep coming back. Oh... one more thing. The food at Marston's is absolutely dynamite. Especially the ridiculous pub mac and cheese. Whoever came up with the idea of combining homemade mac and cheese (not the boxed crap) with bacon, jalapenos and yellow mustard is a mad genius, and owns my utmost respect and regard. read more

Nothing special on the menu at all, same varations of every basic meal at every mediocre restaurant. In that sense, I feel that it is a little overpriced. Oh, you dip your french toast in corn flakes? Thanks for the idea, now I can do it better at home. After my first visit there, a friend who owns a local business said she got some cupons from their owner, Katie Martin. When we tried to use them, it turned out that they had expired weeks before. Probably an honest mistake, but a crutial one for any sales person that would leave any customer with questionable impression. Went there last night with a small group. Our server was awesome. Their popovers are sooo good. My friend and I tried the chicken pot pie, while it looked beautiful, that's where it ended. It was very watery. I literally had 4 pieces of chicken in the whole pie and they were small at that. The rest was a cream chicken broth, some very small diced potatoes, a few mushrooms and zucchini. Was totally not worth the price at all. Thank Goodness for the popovers otherwise I would have left hungry. The taste was also meh. If I wasn't with a group I would have sent it back and asked to speak with a manager. We have been there for breakfast and that's where they rock. This place is delicious! I have been here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and it is always amazing. I really enjoy their breakfast - the eggs Benedict is awesome! Also, I enjoy going here in the evening with my girlfriends and sit outside by the fire pit and have their happy hour items. Another great thing about Marston's is I always bring a bottle of wine for dinner and they don't charge a corkage fee! The one not so great thing is if you come here for breakfast, be prepared to wait - it gets super busy but that just means it is really, really good! read more

My first time Here and Megan K was such a sweetheart she seemed to know a lot of customers which lead me to believe there's a lot of regulars which I like. It was like she was reading my mind I needed coffee and before I could ask she was right there and I needed water and she was right there with it.
