I recently had a really unpleasant experience at Marshall. The coordinator, Alexis, she was extremely rude and unprofessional. Instead of helping or communicating politely, she made the situation much more stressful. I left feeling completely disrespected and disappointed. I expected much better customer service from a place like this. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses how their staff, especially coordinators like Alexis, interact with customers. No one should be treated that way. This has got to be one of the more cleaner and organized Marshall's I've been too. Staff is very kind and attentive. I didn't quite catch her name but the lady at the women's fitting room was very kind and patient. There is so much variety in this particular marshalls as well! Picked up some items from the clearance rack but the cashier ripped off the labels on every single item. She peeled off each red label and scan the white label and said the red tag was a mistake. At the end manager came and insisted the cashier Jocelyn is doing her job. I questioned if you don't trust your labelling system then get better labels. What is the point of ripping off the red tag? I have never seen any cashier doing this. I felt being discriminated. The cashier couldn't look at me and removed her staff badge and walked away. If you think that you are doing the right thing, why are you scared to wear your staff badge. Worst Marshall ever! read more

Today I came into the store with my son and found a half set on clearance, grey Jordan sweats missing a price tag. Along side the sweats were several Nike, new balance and adidas sweats also missing a top with only sweats marked down. I went to the front to purchase the grey 5T sweats( that had top missing) When I tried to pay for the pants the manager refused to sell them to me. I was at the store between 3-4pm 11/7/24. African American girl with braids who helped me was pleasant and did what she was told by manager. Unfortunately the petite girl wearing too much make up refused to sell me the sweats. (Idk if that was the manager) Told me I can come back when it's marked down. I stated the pants were near several other half missing sets that were marked down and she continued to refuse the sale. As a former manager in retail; that's horrible management. Refusing a sale is unintelligent from a business standpoint. The name brand sweat sets were $25-$30, a good manager would have took the initiative and price it @ $12.99-$15.99. Based on half the set missing and regular price. HORRIBLE service and horrible management decision making @ Marshals. With the holiday season coming up I predict this will happen again and again. My advice: Improve your policies or continue to lose business. I won't be back ever again at this location. read more

This Marshall's store is one of my favorites. Lots of clothing and great savings. Cashiers always here to make the line go faster. Friendly and helpful associates and fitting rooms always clean. The manager running this store really keeps it in tip top shape. Clearance items are like new items at other stores. read more

Number one, I take full responsibility as a consumer for checking the merchandise more closely before I purchase it. I bought a carry on suitcase. When I got home and opened it up, I noticed that there were beads inside the suitcase. Someone obviously used it (ugh gross). The next day I went back to the same Marshals with store tags attached, recipe and my credit card I used. This is when the fun began. When the cashier scanned the tag, something was wrong. She asked another cashier for help. She examined the suitcase and said they wouldn't accept the return for the following reasons: She said it had the wrong store. (Maybe someone at your store tagged it incorrectly...possible?). She said that this suitcase was not in their stock yesterday because she knows every piece of luggage in the store (maybe she didn't know every piece of luggage...possible?). She said that they wouldn't have accepted the return in its used condition(maybe an employee didn't follow proper protocol for the original return...possible?). Obviously someone is lying or greatly mistaken. Only if there was someway to prove who's right and who's wrong, oh surveillance footage might show who's wrong or right. Which I suggested but they weren't willing to. Finally at the end, they credited me a full refund. But not without being totally rude throughout the process. Obviously I won't be shopping here again. And I caution those who shop at the Marshals in Whittier to use extreme caution when shopping with them. If you look at the other reviews on this store you might notice a pattern with the way they are handling returns. Note to management - I will be more than happy to retract or revise this review if you show me the surveillance footage to prove that I am wrong. read more

If you go to this place & you're of color expect to get followed around by a bald hispanic dude, nothing makes me feel more uncomfortable & incredibly anxious than going shopping & getting followed around as if they saw me put something in my bag ? I complained to the cashier & she just acted like she had no idea they do that it won't keep me away because I don't steal however, next time I will make a complaint to the "manager." Thankfully I was raised right & you cannot do this simply because of the way someone is dressed. Is this the opera ? Can I wear pjs & not get followed around ? or perhaps take my time shopping ? First time here at any Marshall's and let me say. I had best customer service. The cashier named Celeste awesome. She was sweet and just very kind. She helped me out with pricing and she told me who the sister stores are. I told Celeste I am not a fan of Ross because it is always so unorganized and dirty. Even though Marshall's was busy. Did you know that when you purchase an item from Marshalls and attempt to return it on the same day it was purchased (with receipt) from another store they won't accept it? It looks like this Marshalls made up their own return policy. After calling customer service when my items were refused to be accepted as a return with receipt I was informed that this policy was set by the District manager and not by the corporation. I had to return on a different day and this was an inconvenience. I was called by the store manager and she apologized for the error on their behalf. It appears that I did not have to wait 24 hours for my transaction to post to their system. I'm no longer shopping at this store this was very upsetting. read more

Worst customer service ever. I love TJ MAXX company stores including marshalls and homegoods. When I found out they opened a marshalls in Whittier I had to stop by! HUGE MISTAKE Cashiers are rude and unprofessional. The vibe here is off as well and not friendly. Plus this location is TINY. You can be at this store for 5 minutes and you've seen everything they have in stock. Shoe selection is small as well as the home dept. I recommend the marshalls in montebello better than this one it's a big store with a good selection. If you want home decor try homegoods which is about a couple blocks away. read more

The makeup is mostly all open, dirty and when you ask for a discount the cashiers will find another item that is SEALED to price the same. These employees act like the money is gonna go in their pocket. They have no sales tact. If something is used/open package it should be discounted. If I could give negative stars I would, first of all they apparently don't allow you to return your bra if the tag isn't on I let them know it was gift and when I tried it on it didn't fit correctly so if I could get a bigger size. They said that because the tag was taken off I was not allowed to return it, what kind of policy is that it does not say on the receipt neither did they warn me when I purchased this item. You will never catch shopping at this marshals again also all the associates do not speak highly of this place. read more

The selection here is limited compared to other locations. I rarely find things here but today I was able to find some clothes at really good prices! I've been here a few times, employees are not the friendliest or that helpful. The manager lady seems kind of a grump. It's a fairly new store so it's pretty organized. Worst customer service. Needless to say, I'm NEVER coming back to this location! Norma was helping us out today. My friend was trying to purchase an item that was out of the box and we asked for a price check. Stood there for 20 minutes for a price check on some nail clippers. It cost more, timewise and per hourly rate, for the employee to go back and forth around the store. She signals on the walkie that it's 7.99 and mind you, out of the box. I went back to the nail section and looked and in 1 minute found it for 4.99! They are pulling prices out of the air. I called her on it and her facial expression change; this came after she had just told me some other item with no price was $7.99! Watch yourself when coming here. Needless to say, as much as I love Marshalls, this one, is downright appalling with the people running it! I will.be contacting corporate because I found their behavior to be unethical. Spoke to the associate manager, Sarah, over the phone. Waste of time, as she offered no resolution. I had to prompt her and offer suggestions as to how she could have rectified the matter. I like coming to Marshalls but I wish they had more furniture. Love the bargains though. They have really cute purses, clothes, accessories but I often don't find my size on any Marshall store. You will find exciting deals but you gotta hunt them. I will come back. :) read more

2.5 but rounded up. Came in to return a few items. So my experience is solely based on a return. I'm a mother of a small child so coming into a store is very rare. Came in and the line to return items was short. Which is also the same line to purchase items. The female chaser who assisted me was not very polite. Kept having side conversations with another male cashier. And my return took longer then expected. All in the mean while my son kept wanting to get off the stroller crying and moving historically. Finally after a long wait as both cashiers finished their conversations I received my return receipt. However before I left, what seemed like the front store manager said, "returns are so annoying". As it is, having to leave my house to deal my young son wasn't hard enough the manger was annoyed having to assist me. I bought a sports shirt for my husband on the 12/14/17.it was a Christmas gift and just after Christmas I went to return or exchange for another bigger size . For my surprise the sales girl said it was not purchased on that store I had the receipt with me to prove and that was the only item I got that day . I spoke to the manager by the name of Lily D. She too said it was not bought in that store I was so humiliated and went home and told my husband what happened we came back to the store and my husband talked to the manager she spoke to him in a nicer way than the way she spoke to me . He said he will record the conversation for future reference. Then she refunded the money as we were leaving the store another guy took the same shirt to buy We were surprised how are they going to sell the shirt to another person if it's not purchased there we had a big laugh I hope he want be returning it too .the customers service is zero score we both are federal employees and we will never go to that level to do such things shame on you specially the manager. read more
