Terrible Management, cashiers and Floor/Department workers. I returned some unused items I bought the day before. Every item had tickets still attached and were unworn. immediately, the management was called she came over to question why was I returning so many shoes? . I laughed now, but I was insulted and incensed! I said they didn't ask me that when I was buying them. She got angry and started singing, took 8 minutes to return the shoes, then she walked around the store telling all of the people that worked there (darker skinned African male, African female in home section, heavyset light skinned cashier sitting on a stool, and she called for the shopping center security monitor to come and guard the exit! After I noticed that they were following, I went on a tour. They original cashier with the short curly wig said that it is "store policy " to call manager for any return over two hundred dollars. I read the back of the receipt and have returned an item that cost over $300 and have never experienced this. I think this is because I am on vacation as of 6/23/2023, had surgery on my thigh Monday, 6/26/2023, and was not dressed to impress and no make up. Black people love to judge people based on how the look. I own a home near Wegman's, earn $170K yearly, have credit score of 780, completely debit free besides small remaining mortgage, have more than $29k in my checking, and I don't go around judging people based on how they are dressed, because none of that matters!!! If I had been feeling a little better I would have gone back to the store where I bought the item. They treat everyone with respect!!!! For the record. When I bought the shoes I didn't have glasses on and did try any of them on. When I got home with glasses on, none of them were leather. I do t wear man made material on my feet. This location, by far, has some of the nicest cashiers I've ever encountered. They ask how are you and if you found everything ok. If your response happens to be that you didn't find an item(s) they will try and 1) direct you to where it may be found, 2) personally walk you to the section if the line isn't long of 3) tell you that they haven't seen the item in the store in quite some time. They have an excellent home section but like others have mentioned it's not ALWAYS stocked with what you may need ALL the time but typically adequate. Fir mr though, the number one issue that keeps me returning is the exceptional customer service at the Largo location. read more

I am a Marshall's and TJ Maxx aficionado. When I go out of town I stop by both the local Marshall's and TJ Maxx. Therefore, I can confidently say this location is ok. I like it. This is a smaller store with a steady flow of customers. If you like something you should buy it. The item will not be there for long. They have layaway. Which is a major plus. I like the quaint home section. I have found some really good items. The bath/beauty section is well stocked. Lately, it's been well organized and tidy. The pet section satisfies all my needs. The store and the goods are representative of a mid level Marshall's. My only issue are the cashiers. They tend to be on the moody side. They're a little rude and not customer service oriented. They get nice when they try to push the TJX card, but when you decline its back to mean mode. If they were pleasant I would rate this location a 4. read more

This place really needs to work on customer service. There's not enough attention to getting customers processed quickly. The employees have to be there for a term. The customers should NOT. I waited in line for 30 minutes one day to pick up a layaway. Frustrated by the amount of time it took took to process on person in that time I left. I came back the next day and waited just short of an hour for two people to be processed. At what time does someone decide to call for assistance or send assistance. I watched employee walking around trying to figure where she set a wallet for purchase, for almost 20 minutes while I stood in an unmoving line. At what point does some here say, we need another body in that area to better service customers? Done with this place too. I'll just use the other Marshall's in Rockville, Arlington and Alexandria. They seem to respect their customer more. read more

I headed to Marshalls in search of a few cute outfits and maybe a nice purse for my daughter. I found everything I was looking for. The store wasn't picked over. Aisles were clean and clear. No employee asked me if I needed assistance with anything...as a matter of a fact now that I think about it I've been in this store at least 3 times and no one has ever asked if I needed help finding anything. No big deal to me "this time"...The few people that I did see out on the floor was putting up clothes and keeping things organized. I don't need assistance everytime I go in the store. It was good to at least see people out on the floor in case I did need help they wouldn't be hard to find. Overall I had a good shopping experience and don't mind going back. read more

I purchased 2 bags and 2 pairs of shoes about a month ago from this Marshalls location. I didn't end up using one of the bags until the other day. When I went to pull the tags off one of the bags, I realized the sales associate failed to remove the security tag at checkout. I thought...no big deal, I'll just cut it off. Well, since I have NEVER stolen anything in my life, I had no idea that an alarm would immediately go off once I had my husband cut the tag off the bag!! Sure, I had my receipt to prove I didn't steal the bag, but that didn't help us in the moment, at home on a Saturday morning with this security tag alarm going off! My husband had to take it outside, and beat the tag with a hammer to make it stop beeping. I will NEVER shop at this store again. The sales associate had ONE JOB. Complete and utter incompetence!! read more

Marshalls, Largo Town Center, Landover, MD I was in Marshall last Friday (Jan. 9, 2015) approximately between the hours of 3pm and 6pm. I had a number of items to try on. The young lady managing the womens dressing room was EXCEPTIONAL. She was courteous and very professional. She ensured that all the sale items were properly labeled to prevent any problems at checkout. KUDOS to her! EXCELLENT customer service! read more
