I have been shopping here for almost a decade and always had a wonderful experience. Unfortunately, while I was shopping probably for about 15 minutes, I told my son to go look around while I shop and pick something out. He went to the toy isle and was bouncing a ball. A worker started following him around, saying don't touch that ball, and said " I wanna smack him" to someone else. The worker picked up a toy nerf gun that wasn't in a box, held it in his hands as one would hold a nerf gun and moved it from one area to another while following my son around. Then said "do you want to leave the store" and my son said no and he took the ball from him. My son told me after I drove away, I feel he targeted my son for bouncing a ball and picked up the nerf gun to almost intimidate him. If you are a mom and you think your child is safe browsing around, while you shop, be extra careful of this worker. read more

always loved how fun this store is. and we also go to the locations nearby, ever location you'll find something different , only tricky part is that the arrangements get a little different which i understand, if you are there to shop around without rushing that's fine but if you are in a hurry then goodluck. I always like the skincare and some perfumes there, and also hand creams, sometimes you'll get good selection of make up brands but just have to check if they are ruined yet. also love that they have a lot of Korean products there especially for skincare like face masks and moisturizers. its normally cheaper that the usual price too so its a win win situation. This location is still standing. Feels like it needs a facelift as there wasn't as much merchandise as I would have liked. I did manage to find a shirt and some beauty and bath supplies that I was looking for - You really can't go wrong with your purchases in this store. You never know what you can find whether it's a shirt, a dress, a phone charger or something else. Usually you know the pricing is great and you can return as long as you follow their instructions (I try to get an email and a paper receipt for that reason alone). I did have a funny store however -the manager was walking around and she saw of the employees sitting and working togehter- she questioned them whether they were working -they said yes and that someone had said ok. I actually never do this - but I said to the manager that they were working and that I had been shopping in that particular area. I felt as if I should stand up for the young employees and I'm glad I did! read more

I love this Marshalls!! Located in Vinnin Square for at least the past 10 or 20 years. This particular location always has designer clothing, higher end shoes and a much better grade of products then all the other marshals I've been to. There is an extensive parking lot plenty a room for everyone. The staff is usually happy and pleasant and willing to help. Returns go smoothly at this location. I Give the Vinnin Square Marshalls a Solid 4 Stars. read more

We needed a price check for a spf shirt happened to be missing a sales tag for one of our children. We patiently waited. Someone brought up a completely different shirt that was $29.99. I had to say wait a minute. There are more of the same where we got this. I got the same said shirt it was $12.99. Feels like an attempt of being lied to for me. This is probably the first Marshall's I visited as a kid with my mom in the early 80's and is still her favorite. We visited yesterday on a pre-holiday shopping trip. I had not been for several years but the store is still very well laid out and designed with a nice selection of merchandise including a variety of designers. The shoe department is quite large and there is a good home selection. They were also unloading new merchandise for holiday gifts. There were several clearance racks too as they are making room for new merchandise. Restroom and dressing rooms were clean and accessible. Let me preface this by saying that I'm not a fan of stores like Marshall's and TJ Maxx. I'd blame it on the OCD, but then wouldn't the fact that things are sorted exactly according to what they are make me feel all warm and fuzzy? Instead, it drives me absolutely bonkers. Why are knit tops and blouses in two completely different places? And why are the fattie sizes relegated all the way to the back? It makes it hell for those of us that are between sizes. My mission last night? Find some shirts that do a better job of hiding my cleavage. Apparently there are some circles where things of this nature are not appreciated. So I find a few shirts and a casual dress that is perfect for those other circles I travel in whereby cleavage is encouraged and I head off to the fitting room. This place probably has the most rooms of any store I've ever been in. But all of that aside, I walk out with only one shirt - a Jones New York on sale for $12.99 and some strange brand of a dress for $16.99 that really shows the girls off. But as I'm heading out, I'm stopped by the most obnoxious woman with her arms full of clothes blocking the entire area while she sorts out what her snotty little teenage princess is going to take and what she's not. "Excuse me" didn't work. Clearing my throat didn't work, so finally I just resorted to shoving her out of my way and using my ample hips as an excuse...but really, there was just no need. Kudos to our cashier too who agreed that while one can never have enough Red Sox t-shirts, a Red Sox bedspread is really Not a Good Idea. read more

I love me a bargain, & marshall's never fails to find me one, or five.. They constantly get new items in, and I always leave with a great deal (unless I'm searching for something wicked specific, which is rare). The junior department can get a bit messy, but this place is always pretty busy, and hey, I'll deal with a few awry hangers for their prices! Shoe department is huge and filled with sexy things that I would break my neck in, but dream of being able to walk in one day :) Fitting room has, if I had to guestimate, 20 rooms? I've never had to wait to try on potential outfits, which is fantastic because I sadly have to try everything on before I buy it cause nothing fits the same, regardless of what the tag says. Wow the manager with long white hair was so rude to me. She ignored me. I had to say excuse me at least 5 times lol and she was right next to me. When she did respond she lashed out on me. I desperately needed to shop for a new top, but I decided it was not worth it to shop here after being spoken to like I was garbage. Can not find the bargains of the past. Resent the long two aisle parade route with merchandise on both sides they hope you will buy, while waiting for their understaffed checkout registers. For those reasons, I rarely shop there today. And God forbid, you have something to return? Get in that stupid long line again. Home Goods, Walmart, Home Depot etc. make returns fast, and simple. I vowed to never give a bad review because I don't like negativity and I prefer to tell the individual to their face how I feel but I'm very angry right now. I have shopped at Marshalls in Swampscott for over 20 years and have literally spent thousands and thousands of dollars. I love the clothing, shoes, handbags, everything, but their customer service of recent times is horrible!!! One of the day managers (middle aged dark hair with bangs was soooo RUDE thati called her out on it and tonight the clerk in layaway did not say hello or address me. My next step is to get their names and write a letter to the CEO! Whatever happened to customer service. I love Andrea who works there and the girl with the tatoo. Recently an ex manager from Dots started working there and she is lovely. Hopefully she can train them accordingly! read more
