I found my new tailor! I have an extensive collection of custom sports jerseys and not every place I've taken them to understands alignment for patches. After my previous tailor retired, I've tried a couple of places and just wasn't 100% satisfied. I picked up my order today and held my breath, but smiled so big when I saw the final product. I have been coming here for years but never wrote a review. From basic alterations to more complicated ones they do it all and do it well. Now that we are out and about again after Covid it is good to be able to bring in clothes for hemming and alterations. Very friendly staff. I'm on my way there now to pick up a pair of pants and a shirt both needed work. A+. read more

The website and reviews have not been updated for new ownership, which took control in December 2021. The current establishment is chalk to the former's cheese...not at all what is presented on the website and in online reviews. Frankly, I'm horrified with the experience I've had. Agreed with the post written in April - I went to Peter's before they changed ownership a few month's back. Figured I would give the new team a try. Big mistake - ruined a bridesmaid dress and charged me double what it was even worth to begin with. They have no idea what they're doing and I had to go back 3 different times to get the sizing right (still never turned out just right but have to live with it at this point). At one point they actually asked me if I gained weight within the 1 week period that had gone by between appointments, because they couldn't take ownership for the fact that their measurements were off. I can't say enough good things about this place and the ladies that run it. I brought my daughter's prom dress when it was only a week away and they did a great job on the dress...even doing additional work on it without charging me any more. They were friendly and nice and, although they were superbusy, they never made me wait. I will definitely use them again. read more

The wonderful women that used to own this business apparently have retiredThe new owner is clueless. We brought an item on April 1 to be repaired. We were told that it would be completed and ready on April 8. We went there on April 11 not done. He said give me a couple more days. We went there and it was not done. The hours are from 9-3 during the week, which might be very inconvenient for some customers who need early or late service. For that reason alone, they didn't earn the five stars. However, when I arrived mid-morning today, I was immediately greeted and instructed where to go to put on the garment that needed alterations. There were four or five employees, each at their sewing stations, working diligently next to piles of clothes. It was apparent that this business gets lot of work, which is always a good sign. Once I came out of the dressing room, a gentleman quickly brought me to a three-walled, platformed mirrored enclave and began folding the legs of my pants. Before I know it he was inserting pins, measuring things and drawing in chalk. I had asked if I could get a rush job on the pants, to which he obliged. I received the pants back the same day and they look great. Price was good too ($20). read more

Fantastic quality at very reasonable prices. I've had many jackets altered here, and they invariably do an excellent job. Also come up with creative solutions to issues that I had. It thought about, such as modifying shoulder pads. Simply the best. read more

I had never been to Peter's Custom Tailoring before but went yesterday to get a hem on my shorts fixed. The kind woman who was working not only sat down and fixed my shorts immediately but was kind enough to not charge me because it was such a "quick job." Even though the only other review looks like it might be spelp...this place really is great. I used to come here ten years ago, and recently went back now that I'm living nearby again and was so happy to find that the service is just as friendly and professional as before. Everyone is very chatty and pleasant and most importantly invested in making sure your clothes are tailored properly and to be flattering. You can trust them with simple jobs like hemming jeans or more complicated affairs like your wedding dress. I went to there old location (before it burned down) and had two pairs of pants hemmed. They did a great job and put the original hem back on the pants and they looked perfect. I then went to their new location and got a dress and shirt altered. They did a good job, the dress still isn't perfect but I think that's just the dress. I will definately go back. read more

Friendly, nice staff clean, upscale location Damage for hemming my two dress pants: $20.00 for the both. Not bad!!! My only complaint is that this place is not open very late during the week for those of us who have a 9-5 job and can't get there until after 6. However, they have Saturday hours, which almost makes up for it. read more

This shop is just the best place for alterations. They altered my tuxedo for my wedding. prompt, friendly, reliable and reasonable, doesn't get any better. We have been here twice now once for pants to be hemmed and now today for a bridesmaids dress to be altered from an 18 to a 12. The women working there are AMAZING at what they do, and not to mention that they are so sweet and kind. Their prices are fair and they are expedient. Highly recommend. read more

I took two coats and a pair of pants in for mending. The ladies there were very nice and knowledgable. They assessed and gave me a reasonable quote. $40 for all three garments. They appear to do a lot of business. There were several people there with several garments for alterations. I'm excited to have found this place! read more

Well you know I came here to get my wedding dress alterations done because of yelp. I should have known from the moment I asked her to not do one alteration she wasn't going to alter anything at all because of the attitude on the phone ! So when it came to pick up my dress in June she yelled at me and said I told her not to do any alterations ! Then she quickly apologized and tried to do the part I asked her not to do for free and thank god I said no because this weekend on my wedding day when it was time to bustle my wedding dress the buttons all broke !!! When you have one job and can't even get that right then your not the place to go and I brought my mother and bridesmaids to get work down here too for my wedding dress bustle to break right before the reception !! I have a very time getting clothes to fit well, and I have never really had a great customer service experience with a tailor until now! The ladies there were so personable and sweet and I am so thrilled to have found this place, and it has practically been in my backyard and I didn't even know it. I would have awarded zero stars if that was possible. I brought my wedding shower dress in last week to be shortened, because of there short saturday hours my fiance had to pick it up for me. When I got home I tried my dress on to make sure it looked good with my shoes to my surprise the hem was completely uneven and the lining of the dress was sticking out. I called and left a message, before having to head out to the mall to get a new dress for my shower which was the following day. I waited all day for my phone call to be returned. Which it never was so finally monday evening i went in and the blonde women whom extremely rude asked me to put the dress on if I wanted it fix, I did not since my shower had already passed, so i said i would just like my $30 back (which i thought was rather expensive for a hem in the first place.) The women made me wait another 10 mins before she slammed the $30 onto the counter and walked away no sorry or anything. I have never been treated so rudely for someone else's mistake. It was a disgusting display of customer service. read more
