This particular Marshalls has great items at a discount, if you're lucky enough to sort through the gigantic piles of mess customers often leave items in. It is not the cleanest or most organized, but you may encounter some gems here from time to time. It is very hard to come across parking here in the lot as it is always packed. You can also expect a minimum of about 10 minutes wait time to check out your items. There is typically no lines at least for the dressing rooms. Staff are friendly and are willing to help you find items and different sizes so that is a bonus. If you have time, you're probably almost guaranteed to find an item you need in their massive selection. You just have to be patient. read more

This Marshalls is definitely a little messy. The clothes and shoes are usually laid out nicely and the sizes are in the right spots. If you go back anywhere by the beauty products it's a mess, just stay away. The home section isn't bad, it's nicely arranged. The little imported foods section is usually disarrayed. I would also check expiration dates on all the products. The workers aren't bad, sometimes they have a language barrier but we usually get through it at checkout. Overall it's your average Marshalls. The parking lot is huge, there's always carts available and they open pretty early. Even if it's a busy time, you'll always find a parking. read more

Rating is based on customer service: When I came to the counter, the young lady greeted me. Before I left, she communicated. Maybe the Marshalls in Bloomfield should take note and batter up their employees to do the same. As for store layout, I have been here...I believe around 3/4 times; layout is similar to pretty much all the other Marshalls, so I was familiar with where what I was looking for was located. Rating is also based on the fact that I was able to locate a very hard-to-find Rae Dunn piece (see my photo). The location will always be 'Two Guys' to me. Now that was a store! But alas... that's ancient history and this Marshalls has been going strong still 2000-ish. It was my first time going in recently and not to sound all Billy Bob Thornton-ish with strange phobias but places like this and TJMaxx (part of the family I found out) actually scare me. They're clean and always packed (with women, that loves these stores) but I just don't get them and would always rather wait outside than venture in. Anyway: I was happy with my purchase but the wait for a cashier was absolutely brutal. Ridiculously HOT!! LITERALLY the AC must have been on the lowest setting and it was 90° plus outside. So many of us were complaining about how uncomfortable it was. I quickly returned what I had and left. I could not deal with how hot and stuffy it was and wearing a mask made it 10xs worse. read more

Very good Marshalls and its in Kearny so that awesome for me! I tend to find cool sneakers, polos, fitness stuff and seasonings here. The store has a pretty good turnover and the customer service is friendly and welcoming. Timing is key for this store! Something might be here today and gone tomorrow, so keep that in mind while shopping folks. We always pop in from time to time to see what deals we can find. The sizes are also limited. Prices are great as I did find a Vince Camuto dress originally $148 and paid $39 instead. That's a real bargain deal; yet, finding the dress was not easy. 2 stars just because I find some good things here. Store is always super messy. I live in Harrison so I visit this Marshall's numerous of times to identify the flaws. What ticked me off at my last visit was as I was waiting on line, someone tried cutting in front of me and I kindly said I was there first so they let me go to the next available register. While I was waiting there the lady had her backed turned, putting clothes on hangers totally disregarding me. While I was trying to get her attention the people who tried cutting me off before got attended too first at a register next to me. Since the lady at my register wasn't paying attention, I looked over to another lady at a register & she just stared at me until I asked if she was open & she said no. Which was funny because she just took a customer. I just feel as a person who also works in retail, customer service is #1. First time coming here. Was at the Kearny Flea Market and decided to stop by here. Not a great impression walking in, I see a police officer taking a statement from a lady sitting in the shoe section with an ice pack on her head. Browsed around and was able to find a lot of great stuff for a great price. Tons of items on clearance. The brand names deals were a little harder to find but if you have patience to go through the racks, you'll probably find something. Best deal was a $113 Michael Kors swim suit coverup on clearance for $10. read more

Overall store is good. They have decent products and good selection of shoes. I wish they had better home goods but I guess I would have to go to a bigger Marshalles for that. The store is always busy and the staff is usually polite. Even though the lines are usually long they go by pretty fast. I just wish they were a little more organization. Of all the Marshalls and TJMaxx I have been to, this is by far the worse. I went there on a Saturday night about 8pm and it was filthy, lots of clothes strewn all over the place. I don't know if this was an exception to how it usually looks, but the floor was dirty and so many clothes on the ground or in the wrong area. As with all of these stores, timing is everything when it comes to selection. The employees are nice enough. I will say this is the filthiest Marshall's esp on the weekends. I guess they figure there's no sense picking up until the weekend is over. Yes, I am one of those avid Marshalls shoppers! Although this is the closest one to my home, it is by far my least favorite. I know that the employees work very hard to keep it tidy, but I swear by noontime it looks like a tornado blew through! Children running around like it's "playtime" ... really? People walking through the store, handling/opening packaging, as though this is just benign entertainment. I find all of this disturbing to me as a customer. So even tho I poke my head in regularly, I really look forward to driving to Secaucus and North Arlington for a much cleaner and far more upbeat experience. I really don't mean to sound like a snob, but I have a great deal of respect for my shopping experience, as well as the store itself. And I don't enjoy sharing this private space with people who don't have the same personal ethics. It's just sad for me to see such a radical difference in store quality between this one and, say, Secaucus. I really, really wish it were different..... read more
