This Target is out of my way but I went during the Christmas shopping season because it was the only location near me that had a specific LEGO set I needed to get as a gift. I ordered the item in the Target app and then drove to the store once I received the notice that it was ready for pick up. I know this location is not exactly "new" but it is not exactly old either. Let's go with new-ish. This means that a lot of the shops around it are also relatively new (I'm purely going by how worn down the buildings and restaurants look). It was kind of cool to visit a new-ish business but if you're thinking this Target is going to be like the larger ones at Menlo Park you may be disappointed. This Target is more like a "medium" sized one. While it does offer a good variety, the aisles are a bit more cramped and everything just feels a bit more "squished together" than other Targets I have visited. The day I went it was chaotic, but it *was* Christmas shopping season so perhaps that goes without saying. All that said, the place was as organized as a Target during Christmas shopping season can be. The employees were all very nice, especially in helping me locate the bathrooms which were oddly all the way in the back to the right. Quite unusual. My order was ready for pick up as promised and I had no issues picking it up. High marks for service. I'm not going to go out of my way to go to this Target, but my experience was good but not amazing. Your mileage may vary. read more

Recently, I've had some bad experiences at this Target, thus the 2 star rating. On two occasions at curb-side pickup they've either mixed up my order or missed an item from my order. In each case it took nearly 30 minutes to resolve. In today's in person experience it took nearly 15 minutes to track down an employee to help open up a locked pharmacy shelf, even though the store was empty. That's the unusual thing here... this Target is fairly new and usually is not packed. It's a shame because they are the closest Target to me, and they also have a Starbucks inside. If I'm dependent on an item I might go to Clifton instead, and only come here to shop for groceries. read more

I've been ordering at this store on line for some months now im happy with certain orders they came promptly and safely but what im upset about is the cat liter I've ordered some about 3 to 4 times and it never gets delivered it's always delayed had to cancel it and get refunded.im absolutely disappointed with that particular item cat liter.i had to order it from Amazon and I received it in 2 days.​ read more

Whoever the hell the cashier was today, is an absolutely useless miserable twat. Me walking up to her register and asking her to do the job she signed up for apparently ruined her day. ZERO hospitality, no hello no thank you. I interrupted her texting apparently bc she had to ignore me for a couple seconds to continue using her phone. Had to use her phone again after scanning my (3) items while i took 2 seconds of to hand her money. I had to wait for her to use her phone again. Like holy shit . I had 3 items. Her whole aura was miserable and rude it was actually depressing. How is this person employed???? I guess this is why self checkout exists. read more

I finally got a chance to stop inside the Kearny Target. I had placed a pick-up order through their app for a few regular purchases. I went inside a little earlier and checked out what the store was like. The store still feels new and is well organized. I'd say it's a pretty good alternative to the Clifton location if you don't want to hop on Route 21 or 3. Getting my pick-up order went smoothly. The woman who helped me was friendly, professional, and also went an extra mile by retrieving another product from the store when she saw the one set aside for my pickup order was damaged. I would come here again and recommend this Target location to others! read more

Something about this new location felt strange. The store felt empty. To be fair, it may be because it hasn't been there too long and caught its stride yet. Nevertheless, it's a nice addition to the shopping plaza. The section of the store featuring Ulta products seemed completely closed or off limits, which was odd. There were also no employees visibly around to ask a question or for assistance. I don't know, maybe I went during a weird time (Friday evening, I think not). I wouldn't rush back to this specific location, but I like knowing that it's there if needed. read more

This store is very nicely laid out with some mixed customer service. The electronics area customer service is top notch with Target associates ready to help you at any given moment. The rest of the store is hit or miss. The young girl at the checkout couldn't care less about her job. I get it. My first job was as a cashier at A&P when I was 18 and I despised my role too, but at least I helped bag up customer's purchases. I had to bag everything up myself and then I was told to hurry up and get out of the way of the next customer behind me. I hope I never have to come back to these slums ever again, let alone this shady place called Target ever again. read more

Closed self checkout. 2 lanes open. Big lines. To their credit, they opened 3 more lanes as I was in line. The big disrespectful problem? They say next and the people at the end of the line go while those waiting longest are stuck. It's not right. If that many lanes can be open, they should be open. Or have one area where everyone lines up and then they can go based on who is next in line. I have no interest in shopping at this target ever again because of this. Why shop in person if it just leads to annoyance over something so easily avoidable? read more

Target is still one of our favs, no matter where we are around the country. We stopped here during our trip for some junk food and other goods we needed. Nice size store with everything needed. Friendly staff to help us get everything we needed. I appreciate the store and service. read more

I went to this store last April when it first opened. I had an order that was supposed to be drive up but when I got there, no drive up parking was set up yet. I'm handicapped and wasn't planning to go inside the store but really had no choice since they would not answer the phone. I parked in the handicapped area and hobbled into the store. when I came out and got into my car, I noticed bright blue paint all over my shoes and the floor mat of my car. they had painted the ground for the handicapped parking and didn't have any signs indicating wet paint. needless to say I had to throw out my shoes and the paint on the floor mat would not come out. I put in a very small claim to be reimbursed for the floor mat and their insurance company denied it I had pictures of the ground and my floor mat and they denied there was any wet paint that day I will NEVER shop Target again read more

I went to this store last April when it first opens I had a order online for drive up and when I got there they didn't even have drive up no one answered the phone will not go to target anymore. read more
