There are more store tenants now (it's less deserted) and there's a variety of businesses - from the Shoprite, AMC Dine-In, Panera, Dry Cleaners, Jerry's Art Store, Five Below, Macy's, Burlington, etc. In recent years, a West Orange Starbucks Drive-Thru popped up in Essex Green also. I'm optimistic that more businesses will set up shop there, perhaps even some of the artisan vendors or activity spaces that Monique suggests in her review. It's more likely now with the new Stonehill complex and the new location of the West Orange Public Library on Rooney Circle. Fingers crossed!

It was also very hot inside the store to the point where it was nauseating. I visited the restroom on my visit and there was toilet paper all over the floor and feces in the toilets. It's currently undergoing a huge renovation. Existing businesses are still open and operating. These include the Whole Foods, Verizon Store, Chipotle, Jersey Mikes, Frank's Pizza, America's Best Contacts and Glasses, myGym, dogtopia, and Mavis Tires. There is a lot of construction right now as parts of the shopping strip are being prepared for a Target anchor store, and a new traffic pattern is being carved out in the plaza lot where newly built free-standing store units will be strategically situated. The new plans will completely refresh the area and bring more activity to this part of town.

We just walked in with no appointment. They just require that you wait 6 months from the 2nd shot. There is a short line and it moved quickly. They run a tight ship here. I am impressed; it is super efficient, clean, and organized. I brought a print out of my original card. All i had was a pdf. I couldnt find the original card. Anyways, they made me a new one.

Outside of this, it's all the goodness inside you can expect from Marshalls. Food items, kitchen supplies and clothes, but because it isn't as big or organized or even nicely laid out it just falls short. Like other Marshall's and stores similar to it, they suffer from this long line rule which is already bad, but because this Marshall's is already a bit rough venturing through, it makes the line even worse here. Because Marshall's are has this similar rule but this one has other issues, I say 2 and 1/2. Hopefully it can improve a bit.

(In my defense, I am carrying an iced latte.) This is not your typical suburban mall. There are no fluorescent lights illuminating a food court full of teenagers eating pretzels. Instead, you'll find restaurants, cafés, valet parking, and enough designer stores to make you briefly consider whether you, too, are the kind of person who needs a silk scarf. The Short Hills Mall somehow manages to feel both luxurious and welcoming. Whether you're there to buy a designer handbag or simply wander around with a coffee and people-watch, there's something lovely about spending an afternoon here. Five stars for allowing me to feel rich for a few hours.

It has a nice mix of luxury brands along with more affordable options. I especially like the Macy's here, it's never crowded, as well as Pottery Barn and Crate & Barrel. We also came for their Christmas Santa photos, and it was a really nice experience meeting Santa with the kids. The only downside is that I wish they had a food court. I ordered the item in the Target app and then drove to the store once I received the notice that it was ready for pick up. I know this location is not exactly "new" but it is not exactly old either. Let's go with new-ish. This means that a lot of the shops around it are also relatively new (I'm purely going by how worn down the buildings and restaurants look). It was kind of cool to visit a new-ish business but if you're thinking this Target is going to be like the larger ones at Menlo Park you may be disappointed. This Target is more like a "medium" sized one. While it does offer a good variety, the aisles are a bit more cramped and everything just feels a bit more "squished together" than other Targets I have visited. The day I went it was chaotic, but it *was* Christmas shopping season so perhaps that goes without saying. All that said, the place was as organized as a Target during Christmas shopping season can be. The employees were all very nice, especially in helping me locate the bathrooms which were oddly all the way in the back to the right. Quite unusual. My order was ready for pick up as promised and I had no issues picking it up. High marks for service. I'm not going to go out of my way to go to this Target, but my experience was good but not amazing. Your mileage may vary.

In each case it took nearly 30 minutes to resolve. In today's in person experience it took nearly 15 minutes to track down an employee to help open up a locked pharmacy shelf, even though the store was empty. That's the unusual thing here... this Target is fairly new and usually is not packed. It's a shame because they are the closest Target to me, and they also have a Starbucks inside. If I'm dependent on an item I might go to Clifton instead, and only come here to shop for groceries.
