Residents of the oft-maligned state of New Jersey know that it offers so much more than the gritty industrial scenery of the Hydro-Pruf factory and gas storage tanks seen in the opening credits of the Sopranos. New Jersey features a diverse landscape that ranges from from the factories of Paterson to the 9,800 farms covering 790,000 acres of farmland in the state.. with a unique and rich tapestry of upscale and blue-collar towns across the state from Montague in the north to Cape May in the south. Just Jersey is a store that celebrates it all. Just Jersey is a independently-owned and -operated retail outlet in Morristown that features carefully curated, locally-produced, and reasonably-priced products that celebrate the rich culture and history of the Garden State. It's a one-stop shop for all things Jersey - high-quality, handcrafted art, jewelry, and clothing products as well as shelf-stable food products produced by local artisans - that make thoughtful, decorative, functional, and tasty gifts for current or former New Jersey friends and family as well as wonderful decor for home or college dorm room to remind family and friends of the culture and attitude of the Garden State and their hometowns. What's more New Jersey than New Jersey-shaped pasta or a "Jersey Girls Don't Pump Gas" keychain or a decorative sign with your zip code or town's name crafted from decommissioned New Jersey license plates? Paul Miller and Tina Bologna, Just Jersey's co-owners and shopkeepers have created a special place in Morristown that serves as a hub of the local community and supports more than 300 New Jersey-based small businesses. They seek out locally-produced products that are uniquely 'Jersey' and produced by New Jersey-based small businesses to stock in their store and website. Every product in the store and website comes with a story that Paul and Tina are happy to share. They also host periodic launch parties in the store to celebrate new vendor and products added to their inventory. To celebrate the recent Small Business Saturday, my shopping companion (.. in full disclosure, a Jersey Girl through and through who lured this then-New York City resident to relocate out to her home state ..) and I stopped in to Just Jersey to pick up her weekly fix of Cape May Peanut Butter Company's Natural Peanut Butter produced in a facility at the Cape May County Airport. We wound up eavesdropping on a conversation between Paul and a local politician on the town/township's political history and buying my shopping companion a beautiful sweater knitted by Paul's wife which she'll wear proudly she's supported a New Jersey-based small business. We will definitely be back! PRO TIP #1: If your small- or not-so-small New Jersey-based business needs to thank its customers for their patronage whether for the holidays or just to say thank you.. why not celebrate the state your business calls home while supporting the local economy? Just Jersey has plenty of experience with creating and shipping corporate gift baskets full of locally-sourced products from small businesses. PRO TIP #2: Just Jersey does not have a private parking lot, but there is plenty of paid on-street parking on South Street or Maple Avenue. Bring change or use the ParkMobile app for the meters ($1 per hour) Monday through Saturday from 8am til 6PM; all street meters are free Monday through Saturday after 6pm and all day on Sunday. If you can't find a spot on the street, paid parking is also available in the Morristown Parking Authority Lot #8 (@ 10 Franklin Street) and Vail Parking Area (@ 110 South Street). FREE on-street parking is located on MacCulloch Avenue, just two blocks from Just Jersey. read more

Was walking around Morristown and saw this shop which I had noticed the last time I was here. Popped in and it was a cute Jersey themed store. People inside were so nice and provided snacks to a dog which I thought was really cool. After browsing I got salt water taffy from Atlantic City and a Jersey hot sauce. They have everything from food items, mugs, clothes, etc. definitely coming back next time I am in Morristown. read more

Just Jersey - Just Jersey Gift Bag!! - Arts & Crafts Near Me - Morristown, New Jersey

Are you a New Jersey transplant who visits other states for Christmas? Do you want to prove you were thinking about that special someone before you flew home? Would you like your belongings to have some personality? This is your store. There's a story behind everything they sell here, and the shopkeepers know what it is. And everything is hyperlocal. Where else can you find Christmas ornaments honoring North Jersey towns like Denville, Randolph, and Morris Plains? What about pint glasses with the 07960 ZIP code? I left with a hand-carved wooden bowl made from NJ black walnut, soaps from Cape May in the shape of NJ, and I barely avoided buying more. This is a great place to get thoughtful gifts that make it look like you were shopping for Christmas year-round. read more

This is an adorable New Jersey themed gift shop! The items here are so unique and I haven't seen anything like this before. Because Just Jersey is in Morristown they have tons of branded town merchandise for all of the towns in Morris County. Think anything from Christmas tree ornaments to hanging signs to mugs and dish towels. Such a cute way to rep your hometown, and I'm obsessed with the Morris Plains ornament that I snagged for my tree. The space is huge, and in addition to hometown merch you can also find a wide range of locally made Jersey products. Everything from clothing to jewelry to unique food items. I could've literally spent hours looking through everything. I recently placed a bulk order for work and it was a seamless process. I was able to set everything up via email instead of over the phone which was nice and easy. I purchased 70 items and they were able to provide me with a 10% bulk discount. I ordered two different food products -- NJ shaped pasta and locally made NJ chocolate. The folks at Just Jersey were sweet enough to put each set of items in it's own cute little bag with tissue paper and a ribbon. Now these really look like the perfect gift and I'm super happy with the presentation. I'll be back! read more

Cute small business with lots of great finds and gift ideas. There is something for everyone and not everything is smothered with NJ. I would recommend this place read more

What a shop! What locally made items! What a state! This corner shop on south is wonderful for finding adorable gifts for family and friends. It is NJ themed and made. I had to get a Madison sign b/c that is my hometown! It is super cute and will look fantastic in my home. The sales associates are so sweet. They even asked me to send a photo of everything once we display it in our home. What a nice request and compliment on my purchase! You hate NJ? Me too. But who cares! It's still a state that makes us better. So, go and bring your AMEX! read more

Just Jersey - Coasters. Ignore the stupid Bon Jovi one! - Arts & Crafts Near Me - Morristown, New Jersey

Just popped in to this place and was able to see how amazing it is! My sister and I are exchanging holiday gifts food-themed this year, and I wanted to represent all NJ has to offer, so this was the ONLY place I could go. At the front of the store was a great collection of sauces, honey, jams and nut butters, hot sauces, brittle, trail mix/granola, pasta, pastries and jerky. They have beverage options and cocktail mixers/add-ins as well as tons of food-related servingware and glassware too! I didn't pop through the rest of the store because I was tight on time, but everything was organized nicely and you could tell SO much thought went into the products on display. The two women in the store were incredibly nice and helpful - they were available if needed but didn't hover. My purchases were wrapped to protect them and I was on my way quickly - what more could you ask for from a local shop. 10/10 - will be back! read more

I read about this shop online and felt I had to visit. It was wonderful! Quirky! Kitschy! But most importantly the women who worked there were kind Welcoming and very accommodating. They epitomize what shopping small and shopping local should be all about! Their inventory was varied and plentiful which made the experience even more enjoyable! read more

Adorable store, and what better than historic Morristown hosting a Jersey centric gift shop? Pasta shaped like NJ? Perfect gift to send to your expat friends out of state housewarming party! read more

Great one of a kind store. Helpful staff, unique merchandise. Great for gifts! Perfect for Jersey fans!

Like a New Jersey-themed page on Etsy, but bricks & mortar so you get instant gratification instead of a tracking number. Big emphasis on local, artisanal, sustainable products, which include handcrafted home decorations, jewelry, scarves & hats, ceramics, soy candles, food like jam and granola, and even cleaning products. I got a batch of blank notecards with a nice drawing of the Garden State prominently in the foreground and the rest of the U.S. shown behind rather small and inconsequential :) Opened by Tina Bologna and Paul Miller, I've seen him behind the register rather often. This business began about 2012 with corporate gift boxes and school fundraisers, and this is their first retail outlet. Boy I wish my kids had been selling this stuff instead of magazines, cheesecakes, and especially wrapping paper -- such an improvement, this stuff you actually want. read more

I haven't ventured far from the Green in Mo'town in a long time (I know, bad Angie), and had zero idea that Just Jersey event existed. I actually found them at an Edible Jersey event and knew I had to visit. As The Man's brother wasn't going to be able to make it to Jersey for Christmas, I thought this would be a perfect place to pick up some things so we could send Jersey to him. I came into the store about mid-day on a weekday in early December with the expectation to find just a few things before checking other places for additional items. It took a few trips around the block to find an open street parking space, I was able to do so and put in enough change in the meter to cover me for an hour. I walked into the store and was immediately impressed by the volume of products they carry. There were a few people browsing around the store and a couple more being helped at the counter. Everyone looked happy. I meandered my way to the back of the store so I could start there. They had everything from pillows to greeting cards to books to puzzles to jewelry to home decor to food to... well, you get the idea. They had SO MUCH STUFF, (almost) all of it created by folks right here in the Garden State. At the front of the store, there was a great display of all Jersey foods. They carry some of the vendors I was already familiar with from farmers markets, like Jams by Kim. I ended up grabbing some pasta, jams, hot sauce, taffy, and a few other little things to ship off. I even found several really cool coasters made from locally sourced materials and bought one for The Man. When I went to the register to pay, I was asked if I wanted to enroll in their rewards program. Umm, yes! Because of all the unique and beautiful items in the store, I have a feeling I'll be collecting many points in the future. Surprisingly, I actually came in under the budget I set for myself despite buying so much stuff. Knowing that my purchases were supporting a local business and local artisans was definitely a good thing. I've been back to the store since the holidays, and I've found more little things that I'm excited to get. I literally can't wait to go back and do some more shopping! read more

Cutest store! Perfect for gifts! Everyone when you walk in is so lovely and welcoming. They don't let you wait, or walk in unnoticed. They know everything about their products. It's not tacky or corny Jersey stuff it's actually really high quality, local, artisanal products. They have everything for glass wear, to candles, dog tags and collars, to coasters, and baking goods! It' also smells amazing (random but deserves recognition)! I came here for a housewarming gift and a birthday gift and found both! I wanted to get a lot more but alas i am on a budget. This place is like target. You walk in for one thing and come out with 10 other things you didn't know you needed!!! Come here! Maybe stop at the wine store next door so you buy more! read more

Just Jersey - Arts & Crafts Near Me - Morristown, New Jersey

I just got home after buying nothing. :-( I put an hour on the parking meter. I went inside with the intention of spending a lot. I was buying for 10 family members that I will be visiting out of state. I had only been in the store 10 minutes and already had over $200 worth of stuff in my basket. Mostly jewelry, as I hadn't even been through half of the store yet. I was thinking of even getting myself a piece which averaged at $40 each! Got to the shirts. Asked about exchange policy. 30 days. I won't be back within 30 days. I want to be able to exchange and send the item to my family member in case it doesn't fit. I've had this happen before! I was told that this is the policy of most stores. I said I could get some clothing down the shore, and possibly be back there within 30 days. A suggestion was made that I buy $15 t-shirts on sale and chance it with those! I had 10 people to buy for and didn't want most of them getting any shirt that didn't fit properly. Not even for $15 a pop! Had I been told a note could be made on my receipt that I would be given 2-3 extra weeks, my bill would've been like, $400-$500!!! I thought about just getting what I had and leaving. I could get the rest at the shore. Then I thought, why? I'll just do all of the shopping at the shore and not risk someone wanting an exchange and not being able to send them the proper size. So I began putting everything back and no one said anything. Then I put the basket back and left without a head turn. I'm going to chance it with the stores at the shore and see who will give me a few extra days for the, maybe, 1-3 people that might need a size exchange. I'm a little bummed, but am 100% sure I can get what I need at the shops I will be near in a few days. I'm just glad I only spent 10 minutes of my time in there before finding out the policy! read more

Love this place! Totally a gem of a store when you are looking for unique gifts. All NJ made too! The owners are from the area and promote shop local which I love. They curate all their products from local artisans and teachers. I was surprised at how cute and diverse the store is. It all looks like a Pinterest board that I would follow. I got some NJ made sunglasses there and a hand turned wood bowl that I love. read more

I had wanted to visit this shop for a few months. The store has a great variety of goods and is very appealing to see. While I was very interested in many of the items, I was unable to get any assistance from the woman working in the shop. She successfully avoided eye contact and stared out the window throughout my visit. I left without purchasing anything and will probably not return since it would mean making a special trip just to be ignored. read more

This is my go-to store for those hard-to-find gifts. They have fabulous Jersey-made artsy products, packaged artisanal food and coffee, gorgeous jewelry, and lots of eco- and sustainable products. Will not shop at this store again! I made a purchase back in January..was double charged for the purchase on my credit card..I only made one purchase and they only have one signed receipt from me and this merchant is still protesting the disputed double charge ( Same amount- 1 minute later-obviously the clerk ran my one purchase thru twice!!) Absolutely horrible customer service!! Don't shop here!! read more
