This is THE BEST Marshall's EVER! It is clean, organized (I know unheard of for a Marshall's!), and has the best bargains on total designer brands ever! I think because of its close proximity to North County it gets in designer merchandise that I have not seen at any other Marshall's or discount store. I am a total Loehmann's girl but this particular Marshall's is a very close second on my bargain shoppers list. read more

The Marshalls in Solona Beach is the best Marshalls in San Diego County. Always has the best designer merchandise at a very low cost. I would rank The Marshalls in La Jolla as the 2nd best and the Marshalls in Carmel Valley would be in 3rd best in San Diego County. The Marshalls in Solona Beach is clean, well stocked and the merchandise caters to the type of people in the neighborhood. I've purchased Coach Bags, Kenneth Cole shoes/luggage, Hugo Boss/Calvin Klein Men Suites, Cole Hahn Shoes etc... well below what they would I would have purchased at a regular department stores. For example, a Hugo Boss suit that would run $800 at Macys, I purchased the suit for $300 at this store. If you are looking for exception deals, you should go on a weekday afternoon. The staff has usually unloads their trucks in the morning and the latest merchandise are newly stocked by this time. High end furniture items and Home Fashions are also available at various times of the month, hundreds of dollars less than a department store. Good luck and happy shopping! read more

Good selection at this store, they rotate merchandise, not too excited about the new shoe department, too much floor area. Good place to buy work clothes. Sometimes the check out lines are long. read more

I almost hate to review this store because I'd like to keep it my little secret but that wouldn't be fair. lol. I love this store. You can't not go here and find something you just have to have. The shoe selection is pretty awesome. Tj Maxx and Ross just don't compare to Marshalls. Seriously just check it out you will find something to buy. I don't usually shop at these types of stores but occasionally I will have an itch to dig thru aisles of unorganized and randomly branded stuff. This Marshall's is FAB! Very organized and friendly and even helpful staff. I got a pair of Donald J Pliner boots for $60! They also had a great selection of workout gear too! Was in town visiting and needed a bathing suit. Wow this is the best Marshall's I've ever been in. Wished my local one in NorCal was like this one...so many great clothes at great prices. I am a regular customer at this store location. I usually visit it about twice a month. Last week, I bought a Ralph Lauren jacket, which I saw at Macy's the week before, on the regular price rack for $100 more. It is the same jacket! Granted I don't always find exactly what I need at the moment, I have scored some great deals of high quality. It is the kind of place that you just walk in and try your luck. This is my absolute favorite Marshall's - and, as most of my fellow reviewers know, not all Marshall's are created equal. My base for criteria stems on the designer section and availability - of which they have alot of my favorites; Equipment blouses, Vince separates, Theory career separates and casual favorites from James Perse. I live nearly 40 miles away, but its always worth e drive. The store itself is a bit dark and could use some improved lighting and remodeling - but all and all Imlove this location. read more

this is one of the best Marshalls that I have been to. The merchandise is up to date and fashionable. the reason that I can only give 2 stars is because the staff is not always consistently friendly and helpful. It seems to be hit or miss. However, the selection of home goods, house ware products, women's and children's clothing is really good. The store is also well organized. I wish that this Marshalls could send out e mails of new merchandise...just give us an idea of what is arriving in the store on a daily basis so that we can decide whether or not to make the effort to visit the store that day. That is the obvious downside of choosing to check out Marshalls or Nordstroms. I don't know if they will have what I need on any given day. read more

This place really is a gem. Great deals, and a halfway decent selection of stuff, which is saying something. When I'm feeling a financial pinch but want to update my wardrobe or buy a new pair of shoes (necessary therapy once in a while), this is my go-to spot. I was humiliated today when I tried to return a jacket that I had purchased two weeks prior. I had the receipt, never wore the jacket and the tags were still attached to the jacket. They accused me of switching the tags of the jacket because when they put the SKU number in their system it didn't come up as the jacket I was returning. I explained that I had no idea about that but the SKU on my receipt matched the jacket tag and I paid the tag amount on my Visa and I should be able to return the item and that it was their mistake. The manager was awful and would only give me store credit. I am no longer a customer after 20 years. It was so humiliating and insulting. read more

I'm a regular shopper at marshalls whethere I'm home in the northeast or out here in CA. I truly love this location, it's my absolute favorite Marshalls! What an amazing shoe selection! But something happened yesterday where I was beyond disgusted with this store. I still can't get it out of my head. I saw a customer ask the lady who was working the fitting rooms if she can try on underwear (panties) and the lady said yes!!! Disgusting, I wanted to throw up. I immediately left after that, I was no longer in the shopping mood. You're probably wondering why didn't I bring this to the manager's attention, but I felt awkward and mortified on what I witnessed. I wanted to post this online so people can be more aware of buying underwear in stores. Scrub the hell of out it with burning hot water and bleach!! Shame on your training skills, Marshalls. Please alert your employees of this. I was there between 5:30-6p on 4/9/12...so you know which employee I'm talking about. read more

I would have given 5 stars if not for the really bad experience I had today trying to return an item. Two days ago I bought a high end blouse only to realize a few hours later that it faded around the hanger and has spots on it. When I tried to return it today the manager of the store scanned the tag and said it's not coming up in their system. She said they couldn't have sold me the blouse and flat out refused to take it back!! Mind you, the blouse had intact the red security tag they put on higher end items. I was going to refuse payment through my credit card when another manager appeared, and had a look at the rack with the same blouse in a different color. When she scanned the tag, it didn't come up in the system either. She apologized for the "confusion" (read: MESS ) and gave me a refund. Moral of the story: be VERY CAREFUL when buying the higher end items with the designer labels. Treat your purchase as if it's a final sale. If there's anything at all wrong with them, and you need to bring them back, you may have the same experience as I did. They (a) don't keep track of them properly in their system (b) will try to find an excuse not to take them back because of the higher price. read more

my FAVORITE place to get work/professional clothes! unlike other discount stores, this place is super organized. the women's tops and sweaters are usually organized by color, which make my shopping trip that much easier. prices are always amazing, which allows me to justify buying more things :) read more
