I find way too many things here for hubby's liking. He is lucky because I also find him cool shirts, and jeans, even shoes! My little girl always comes home with a pair of shoes and/or a cool shirt or jeans from here. My boy doesn't have the largest selection, but the CK underwear from here is darn cheap. Of course, i save me for last as usual, but when I find something, I know i've scored. I find kitchen stuff ALL the time (BBQ stuff, plates, cups, knick knacks.) I find shoes of course. I always seem to buy a quarterly purse that is very inexpensive from here. I occasionally even find some furniture or piece of decor. The only drawback of this place is the CRAZY long lines. I have had a cart full of stuff that I put away after just glancing at the lines..they definitely need a full house of cashiers EVERY day to keep it pleasurable. Love Marshalls... read more

Amazing customer service! I went there and got a mismatched bathing suit. At first they didn't know if they could sell me just the individual pieces without being in a set. Apparently Solana Beach has a law to charge for bags? Huh. Good to know when I'm at the check out line. Grocery stores have signs in their parking lots to remind shoppers to bring in their own bags. Just remember Marshall's, copying is a form of flattery. Also, saw the dressing room attendant swifter the floor - just one room though. Bummed I didn't go in that one clean room, my feet wouldn't have gotten so dirty. Yuck. read more

This Marshalls is definitely one of the best in San Diego county in general! This one is very organized. No messes around. Parking is plentiful, and the staff are helpful. Everything is pretty easy to find, and there are always tons of treasures to find at Marshalls. I love the home goods and beauty sections the most. I have to shout out the staff at this Marshalls. I bought tops here a couple weeks ago. When I got home, I could not find the navy blue tank I bought anywhere. I search my car, my bag, my purse, my closet, everywhere! I went back to the store and explained that I could not find it and thought I might have left it on the counter. I had the receipt and said I'd be willing to pay for it again (it was like a $5 tank) and they let me have it without having to re-buy. Thank you Solana Beach Marshalls Staff!! You guys rock!! The Solana Beach Marshalls never disappoints...its the best Marshalls around. ( ask anyone, I know girls from Chula who drive for it ) I've snagged many a Michael Kors treasure here! Great shoe selection, pretty adorable housewares, bags bags bags! I bought a ton of gifts and stocking stuffers here over Christmas last year. The bathing suit selection is out and growing for the summer, and they always have a killer amount of cover ups and sun dresses to choose from. They keep the place fairly organized and the stock seems to rotate quite a bit....okay, okay... I go every week...so I can ASSURE you the stock rotates well. 'Nuff said. -Bought my luggage here. 3 years, and still going strong! -Have yet to be disappointed with the selection at this location. -Most recently found 3 pairs of nice shorts (AKA, not shorts w/ no inseam) for around $45 total, plus a Ralph Lauren button down shirts - reg. $90 for $35 - Heck Yes!! Drawback - This place gets busy and if you don't have the additional 15 minutes to stand in line, you'll want to play the game of destiny that I play - If you run out of time standing in line, you just leave everything you'll holding and come back another day. If you can squeeze that extra few minutes out of that schedule of yours, you get to go home with some unnecessary, but much wanted, finds for your wardrobe! My sister, mom, and I set out in search of some business clothes for my sisters new job. My sister's boss had recommended that we check out the Marshall's in Solana Beach. This Marshall's often has a good selection of designer clothes. Sometimes they have designer shoes and purses. I got a great deal on a pair of Michael Khors flats! They recently remodeled and the dressing rooms are an improvement. They have a very limited selection of higher-end belts, sunglasses, and wallets. read more

This is the best Marshalls in San Diego. I remember the days that my family and I would make the drive from Tijuana. It is honestly worth it. You may be asking yourself "what makes this Marshalls different? Aren't there more Marshall locations?" Yeah, there are a lot of Marshalls locations in San Diego but you can't find a lot of the items that you can find at this location. If you want to find some great designer items and shoes then this is the place to come! Not only do they have great designer clothes and shoes but their beauty section is also the best in San Diego. I've been able to find so many items from Korres, Shiseido, and Elizabeth Arden that normally retail for a lot more at Sephora or department stores. This location underwent a little remodeling so now it is looking a lot nicer and cleaner. I really loved how it looks now. Everything is organized very well in their own little areas. I usually stick around in the front since I'm a beauty junkie but the few times that I've roamed around the store I've been impressed with their selection of items. This location is honestly worth the drive. The only thing I don't like is the parking lot since it tends to be sort of packed during the day. It's best to go in the evenings once a lot of the places in the shopping center have closed. Also you might want to bring your own shopping bags since this location does not bag your stuff. They charge you for paper bags, it's a Solana Beach thang apparently. read more

Amazing! I went in just by chance, and have been addicted ever since. You know it's good when you see several fancy cars in the parking lot, and women from "the crosby" shopping here. I really think I've discovered the dirty little secret of the Rancho Santa Fe housewives. This place is clean, well organized (doesn't look like a bomb went off, like most other Marshalls/Ross). The lines are crazy, but their cattle stall checkout counter system makes it a smooth process. Also, a tip to the wise or courteous - don't take a shopping cart in the store unless you really think you'll need one. There's just not enough room. And it seems the attitude of most women shopping here is along the lines of, "no, I will not move out of your way; I'm in primal bargain hunting mode and cannot hear anything other than the sound of a cash register going off in my brain." read more

I am in LOVE with this Marshalls. In the past year, I have shopped here every month. I have bought everything from clothes, bags, summer sandals, serve ware to snacks :D But what I love most is their baby section. So many good deals on baby clothes, books and toys. And the brands are top notch like Carter's, The Children's Place, Melissa and Doug, Fisher Price, Baby Einstein, Disney. Have never been to a Marshall's but have seen lots of commercials. I was very disappointed with selection. Things are pretty organized and easy to find. Lots of dressing rooms. Most cloths on clearance looked cheap. I did see some nice things that look like good quality. Will probably not go back to any Marshall's, must be geared to younger people than me. Oh Marshalls, we have such a love hate relationship. I personally do not enjoy shopping for clothing at all. When I have to, I like to hit up places like Marshalls to browse through and pray that I can find whatever I want right away. Some days they have some good stuff and I can get outta there quickly, but other days it just feels super unorganized and I can't find anything at all! On the other hand, I find that if I go in here with a friend when I'm not the one looking I always find things I feel like I need! Omg, this is the BEST Marshalls ever. I have shopped at Marshalls, TJ Maxx, all over the country whenever I travel. I have never seen a Fendi shoe in any, yet here they had a display of them. This Marshall has the best stuff out of all the Marshalls, I am guessing due to location. They also have people working there who have worked there FOREVER, like 20 years. I love those ladies, I always chat with them when I shop here. They always get you thru the line pretty quick at this Marshalls. Store is always clean and organized and BONUS... Bathroom isn't locked so you don't have to beg someone to open it for you or your kid (Carmel Mountain take note). read more

I don't usually go to Marshalls first but I have to say this Marshalls always has a good selection of items. I especially like their shoe selections here, they have a good variety and quality of shoes to choose from. You do have to remember they are in Solana Beach and will if you don't bring your own bag, they charge you .10 cents for each bag you need. read more

Best. Marshalls. Ever. (I'm not kidding!) I generally hate going to Marshalls, Ross and TJ Maxx for many many reasons, mostly because stuff always is unorganized and looks picked over. This place is quite the opposite. And the selection of items is impressive -- right up there with Nordstrom Rack. I grew up in San Diego and never knew about this little gem of a bargain store until my brother introduced it to me just recently. I'm just bummed I didn't find out about it until I moved to the other coast and came out here for a visit. I was in need of some work clothes and shoes. I left completely happy with what I found and for a decent price. Its way bigger and has a way better selection then the San Marcos location. Which is the one I usually go to. They seemed to be having a baby sale on car seats, bedding, etc. Its boots season ladies! They have just be stocked with tons of boots of all different styles. While the number of better quality items have been decreased over my last few visits, this time I couldn't find anything worth much of a second look. First of all I love that they open early...9:30am weekdays. Although 9am would be much better :) I always find something here from cute mugs, wrapping paper, kids clothes or underwear. The Solana Beach Marshalls has always been my very favorite and shop it at least once a week. However, lately, I have walked out many times without buying anything, which is very unusual. The lingerge dept. selection is way under par as is the Junior Dept. Women's Dept. is tired with not very attractive clothing. Hope they get back to their old self. read more

Great deals on beauty items (lotions, shampoos, bath stuff, nail polish), home (scented candles and cute organization stuff), clothes (bathing suits, yoga apparel, and more), and even pet (cat scratch furniture and dog necessities). They don't have a lot to chose from, unless your looking for women's apparel. Which was disappointing (I look around with my sister). It's a lot of old styles and cheaper quality items. We found a few high end brands we jsuaybjg CPK nordstroms but you could tell it's not the normal quality. When we both decided to try stuff on for the fun of it, the lady in the fitting from was super rude. So I decided not to try anything on (which she gave me attitude for not wanting anything). I'm a diehard Marshall's shopper. The Solana Beach store has always been far and away the best location of any I've seen. But lately, the selection of clothes has really gotten poor. There are very few racks of plain t-shirts, sweaters or pants. The La Jolla store still has a huge selection and, even though much farther away for me, is now my mainstay. read more

They used to have lots of great inventory for women but over the last 4 months, very sparse inventory for women's clothing and shoes. It's summer and their collection of jeans is limited with virtually no small sizes other than a few 0's. Manager is also not nice-asked him if he could do me a favor and detach a magnet security device another store left on and offered to show the receipt as proof of purchase-he said no and despite me saying I'd have to drive 100 miles to get it removed, his response was an adadmant no.
