Super clean and helpful staff for the most part. Also a nice selection of everything.

This Marshalls is a larger store in a good location. The outside is pretty and there's a good amount of parking. This location also had a good selection of items in the store, especially in the sale section. The biggest disappointment of the store was the cleanliness. First, the bathrooms were filthy. They were so incredibly dirty and neglected. Trash all over the floor, toilet all dirty, changing table hanging down slanted on the wall, toilet paper running out, bad smell, etc. Around the store, the floors were also dirty with hair and dust. Kids running up and down the aisles screaming. It just felt chaotic. Although they had a good selection, I would choose to go to another location instead. read more

Great store! Well organized and maintained. Friendly service. Nice selection. I enjoy hunting for good value items, and I find them here.

I feel somewhat bad to give a negative review because I truly believe that this location is severely understaffed and everyone is trying their best. Plus, I'm not sure the employees actually have that much control, since I'm sure most of their direction comes from corporate. However, my first impression today was the bathrooms! Wow....truly disgusting! They have two gender neutral private bathrooms and both were nasty. One was much worse than the other and not pictured. The one I used was worse than a port-o-potty in all honesty and there were no seat covers or paper towels. The second thing is that the products are so jammed together and the isles are so tight they barely fit a cart, yet alone multiple people. They do have some great products, but too much and very over stimulating. Finally, the music was so loud and the store was hot. I really dislike having to listen to ads for a store that I'm already shopping in and being asked to sign up for their credit card each time, even after hearing ads and seeing signs. I think it's time Marshalls gets updated! read more

Was in the area, so came by and returned 1 item, and picked up some affordable toys and a couple boy clothes. Marshalls is always sucking me in when I really don't need to buy anything! haha read more

To give this store a chance because it's right around the corner from my house every single time I go in there there's one or two cashiers and a line wrapped around it. It's ridiculous and it's really stupid business because. Allows people to think twice about their purchases. I've seen many people just put things down while they're in line bad move. Marshalls do better. read more

I wasn't planning on going to Marshall's on my day trip to San Juan Capistrano. However, I discovered this location when I went to Target. So I said to myself why not. I looked through the clothes didn't see anything. That said wow I really love this or I must have this. As I, walked around the store. I came across a battery power brick. Earlier I was thinking I need one that has more power than my 7000 wireless power brick. During my visit in this town I was using my phone a lot and thinking I need to get a more powerful power brick. Who would have guessed I would come across one at Marshall's. It goes to show you never know what gem you come across. Like most Marshalls locations, the San Juan Capistrano store offers a bit of a treasure hunt. The selection here, as with any Marshalls, can vary quite a bit -- both in products and prices -- so it really depends on the day you visit. There's not much that sets this location apart, but it's clean, organized enough, and worth checking out if you're in the area and in the mood to browse. Sometimes you walk out with a great find; sometimes you don't. That's just the Marshalls experience. read more

This location has one of the best inventory when it comes to Men's and Women's clothing. Especially their Clearance section. I give props to the sales associates for being on top of pricing items accordingly with each mark down. The neatness does not go unnoticed! The store was also relatively clean and organized for a Saturday evening. There was some overflow by the pet section where people just left the dog beds sprawled out on the floor instead of putting them back on the shelves. I blame the shoppers not the associates on that one. Overall, the clearance section is one of the best I've seen. Lots of clothing items under $10-$20! read more

Attention ceo. Anyway Line 40 plus people. Three cashiers. A Pathetically poor excuse for making value shopping here a miserable experience. Get it together. It's not worth coming back for this time waste read more

Yes, I spoil my wife and kids. I go looking for certain items for them here. I am going to let the picture I posted say all that is needed to be said about going here. I love them. read more

The selection was slim to none. It gave thrift store vibes but with new clothes. There was a long Marshall's line, but they only had one cashier. Totally unacceptable for a place like this. Find another location. This one is trash! read more

The bathrooms here are disgusting I would compare them to gas station or public beach bathrooms .we went right when they opened and there was feces on the bathroom floor read more

I would honestly give 0 stars but that's not an option, i went there with my family and the merchandize was horrible, i went to the bathroom and it was disgustin, when we checked out one of the scans didn't work she spent like 15 mins trying to get another sticker, then my dad said that we were in a rush, which we were then once she finally got it (after like 30 min) she asked if he would want to put in his phone number to get it cheaper or sm, and my dad said yes just to save money, but then she said ... "aren't you in a rush" like a she's smart her name was MAY so i recommend to not go here it was a horrible experience and all the workers are so rude read more

Tried to return a shirt that didn't fit. It had been purchased at the Laguna Hills store. The manager, Daniel V., said he "couldn't verify purchase because it wasn't in their system." He refused to try to contact the other store claiming that "they never answer their phone." He'd rather send a customer on a wild goose chase to another store than pick up the phone. HORRIBLE SERVICE!! read more

This Marshalls has an excellent selection of women's high end clothes to choose from and I drive out of my way to come here. I love it!

One of the worst locations around. Messy, not enough carts and disgusting restrooms. The staff is friendly enough but if you can, visit another Marshalls instead. read more

I think there might be some good finds. But this location is so disheveled looking and unorganized. The kicker is the line is so long, 14 people and only 3 cashiers open. ‍ read more

This Marshall's is rather disappointing.... not much of a selection of men's clothes, some key brands, but the quality and selection just aren't there. read more

Checkout lines are almost always LONGGGGGGGGGG! I like shopping at Marshall's.... but the San Juan Marshalls is not run well. It has lots of Managers walking around the store...but not helping anyone. The Cue will many times be into the store and you will only have two cashiers but 5-6 employees and managers walking around the store.. stocking shelves but If you ask if they are going to open another line it's always the same response from the manager. "We are short handed" or "We had people call out sick". They rarely will jump on a line like you see at other Marshalls and tj maxxs. They need new management read more

Found so many cute outfits that are perfect for spring! Staff was friendly and place had a calming atmosphere. Would definitely recommend!

Descent store but the lines at check out are always way too long. If they would invest in a few more cashiers I would have made many more purchases here. Nothing in terms of service and the store itself is overstocked and messy. Not one of my favorite locations. read more

Marshalls - Department Stores Near Me - San Juan Capistrano, California

The quality of beauty product is amazing. Very well organized and amazing finds. I go regularly!

Marshall's in our little town of San Juan Capistrano is a good store but best of all the employees are helpful and efficient. Someone posted a photo of the bathroom being a mess but in reality, as with most stores, any person can come into the store, use the restroom and leave a mess. read more

I always love popping into Marshall's. They have so many fun things to look through from clothes, to furniture and housewares, to makeup. The lines are always kinda long, but I think the deals are more than worth the wait. read more

5 employees working the cash register including the manager. Only 2 of them are operating registers and there are 20 customers in line. If they move any slower they will be going backwards! Average customer transaction time is 12 minutes. Like it really takes 12 minutes to ring up someone buying a pair of discounted panties and a shirt. Get it together Marshall! Or the real slim shady discount store please stand up, please stand up. Also looks like they import all their items from 8 mile! read more

Majority of their items are broken, cracked or terribly scratched up. Terribly selection of items. You're better off going to target or Nordstrom rack. Really messy. Staff is inappropriate and smell like marijuana and don't speak English. Really gross not cleaned at all. Great place to come and get COVID. Needs to be shut down. Huge lines with one person working. Their items are so badly damaged I cut my finger open accidentally grabbing it not knowing it was broken glass! Terrible. Stay away. Go to the Marshalls in Aliso - that one is much better read more

I got yelled at by the staff for trying to bring the cart out of the store after I made my purchase. What's the point in having carts if you can't even bring them to the parking lot to load up your car? The lady standing in the front doing nothing really set the mood when there were 6 people waiting in line. Standing there standing all the customers down when we are in line to pay, looking at us like we are shop lifters. I've been here three times and every time this lady is just standing there observing not even offering to open another check stand to help customers. Maybe she should be cleaning the disgusting bathroom for her staff members because it certainly doesn't get looked at regularly! read more

I come to this Marshall's from time to time. My dogs groomer is down the street so I come here to waste an hour. But of course wasting time turns into shopping every single time. This location is very convenient with plenty of parking. The staff are very helpful and professional. If you know your brands and prices, you can always find great deals. Along with the famous brands, there are cheaply made items as well. It's just one of those places that you have to take your time and find treasures. It's equally good to find outfits, as it is to find decorating goods for the home. They keep the store clean and well organized. read more

I love my neighborhood Marshall's! I always find fun and different items for great prices!!

We purchased a donut print stuffed pillow on August 8th. As soon as we discovered two locations where it has cuts. We brought back to the store with receipt immediately. Since we've planned on keeping the item，we had took out the price tag. While in he store，we were told its not returnable since it has no price tag，even we have the original receipt. We were also told because its more than two weeks which it's not true. We only bought it a week ago. Don't go to Marshall's in San Juan Capistrano! They are not consumer friendly!!!! read more

When I moved to CA this place used to be decent, however, on my recent trip I thought I stepped into Ross, as the quality and merchandise is no longer what other Marshall's/TJ MAxx stores offer. Their bathroom is always filthy and the lines are forever long. Normally they have great shoes selection, however, that is no longer the case either. Do not waste your time here and hit another location. read more

It's not the best shopping experience, but I found some good deals here. Sometimes it's worth it to look for bargains and elbow your way to one part of the store to another. Sometimes, I just leave when it looks like a friggin' mad house. Shopping isn't my thing and crowds definitely do not make me happy. I don't really shop at Marshall's all that much and don't have any other location to compare it to, but I thought it was a big store. It has a decent selection of stuff that are neat to have or give to someone. I came here to shop for Christmas gifts last year and again for other people's birthdays. I also ended up getting myself some stuff. Overall, it's a great place to shop for gifts. There are lots of clothes, but I think most of it are low quality with a few brand names that are good quality thrown in. I think it's worth it to check out their sports gear. You'll have to look for the good, quality brands to get a good deal. I found an Adidas crossfit tank here that I use every week. I found some great stuff for my dog here too. Also bought a few brand name sports bras and some house decor. I also looked at their bags and accessories before. Some brand names I remember seeing were Calvin Klein, Abercrombie & Fitch, Tommy Hilfiger, Jessica Simpson, Gucci, Juicy Couture, etc. Pros: - Some brand name products for a lower price. - Some good quality products if you can sort through all the crap. - Some cool, random stuff to buy as gifts. - Most cashiers are friendly. They usually have a few cashiers during their busy hours. - Someone's always trying to organize the chaos in the clothes rack, even if they don't hide their bitterness about it. They look really unhappy usually, which I think is understandable. - They have shoes, clothes, kitchen stuff, some edible gift products, makeup, gym stuff, kids toys and clothes, furniture, home decor, dog stuff, electronics, art, paper products, candles, bath stuff, snacks, and random gift items. Cons: - There's a rent-a-cop at the door. Wow, I didn't know I was at the ghetto part of the city. - Speaking of ghetto, some of their employees sure act like we're in the ghetto. Rude, bad manners, terrible customer service. - I tried a piece of clothing once. I was ignored by the employee at the dressing room for a few minutes while she busied herself with empty hangers. Then she gave me attitude that I had too many clothes to try on (about 7 pieces of clothes). Dressing room was dirty and unkempt, I felt like I had to take a shower asap. I don't know if some homeless people sleep in there. It's that bad. - Some of the customers here are also shady. I had someone take stuff from my cart in front of me and another lady was literally taking stuff off my hands while I looked at some clothes. Not my favorite place to go for sure. I just try to go early on a weekday so I don't have to deal with so many people. Overall, if this place is close to you and you don't want to drive too far, this place might be worth it to get brand name stuff. I've seen a few dollar stores better managed and better maintained with better employees who aren't disgruntled. Sure, you could go home with a lot of goodies from this place. But lower your expectations and you'll be just fine. read more

Not Marshalls with the best selection, but it sure beats the Ross down the street. I personally didn't find anything I liked here (shoe selection is better in Laguna Hills) and the clothes seemed for a bit of an older crowd, but if that's your thing, then go for it. What did I like? The denim. They had some nice Joes and Hudson. Too bad I wasn't in the market for new jeans. I'd visit the Laguna Hills location over this one, but if you're in the neighborhood and looking to kill time, pop in. read more

Marshall's is typically one of my favorite stores in the world. This particular one has really great clothes, and kids selection.... HOWEVER, changing my 6 month old on their dirty bathroom floor because there is no changing table in either bathroom is disgusting. This is mind blowing that you sell everything from home decor, pet items, Children's clothes/toys, etc.. but you can't put a changing table in the bathroom. * he was laying on a changing mat, but the bathroom looked so unclean. Toilet paper all over the place* read more

The staff is friendly and helpful! They have such an amazing selection of clothes and home goods. Highly recommend!

Reyna is an absolutely rude woman with an attitude problem. Forgot my cash in the car, I left my running shoes up front, they moved my shoes to the very front part of the lines, and she was snippy and sharp with me because I didn't want to get back in a non existent line for my shoes. Rude, get a more positive employee. read more

I have shopped at this Marshalls in SJC for over years. The selection is good but in recent years (especially with the tall male employee with curly blondish-reddish hair) there is a push for their lame credit card. The employees there are a turnoff. So much so that I realize how much I like online shopping and don't have to deal with the crazies. The limit on the pieces you can bring in to a dressing room is less than ideal. I'd rather shop at TJ Maxx in San Clemente or Nordstrom Online or the Rack. It's gross there because the clothes have lipstick stains, deodorant stains. The minimum for the minimum is what you get here. read more
