(I've never even been there and neither has my mom) Julie facetimed with me until we found a beautiful floral italian silk top in great Leo colors! I felt she was supremely sweet, perfectly patient and helped me choose the ideal gift. We planned for my parents to casually walk into the store on their way to dinner in San Juan Capistrano and they would hand her the wrapped gift as a surprise. I did not realize there were two stores and I had ordered from the San Clemente store. Tanya talked with my dad and then she actually brought the gift as well as flowers to my mom at the restaurant! I went back 4 different times to meet the owner (who was never there) to ask if I could at least exchange it for something that isn't damaged. After going to the store multiple times not able to resolve the issue, I tried to contact the store owner by. phone from July 26- Aug 14 leaving messages on voicemail and also through her IG page DM's. Finally on August 23rd, someone (don't know who it was but most likely the owner) texted me to tell me that she would not give me a refund or an exchange. She's rude and hell bent on sticking to her policy and losing customers rather than listening and working with the issue at hand. She sarcastically texted her sign off to me and says, "Have the day you deserve". What business owner would treat their customers this way? Buyers Beware!!!! I stopped in Earthbound fairly close to closing one evening expecting to browse for a few minutes,…read moreand I ended up having such a positive experience with Hannah, the store manager, that I specifically wanted to write about it. From the beginning, Hannah was doing about five things at once. She was helping several customers, answering questions, sweeping and cleaning, keeping track of merchandise, and working through closing responsibilities. What stood out was that none of that translated into making me feel hurried. I actually became self-conscious when I realized how late it was and worried I was keeping her there. Hannah reassured me and continued helping me with exactly the same patience. I can be very particular about clothes once I start trying things on. I was explaining which fabrics I like, why certain styles don't work with my shoulders, that I prefer flowy silhouettes and longer wide-leg pants, and that I wanted things I would realistically feel comfortable wearing. Instead of treating all of that like I was being difficult, Hannah used it. Every time I explained why something wasn't working, she refined what she recommended next. She helped me find wide-leg cotton pants that were so comfortable I asked her to remove the tag because I wanted to keep them on. When I couldn't figure out the unusual construction of a black wrap top, she patiently showed me exactly how it worked and talked about how she styles the same piece herself. She also helped me find a beautiful purple dress that turned out to be incredibly adjustable and versatile once I got home and experimented with it. One of my favorite parts of the visit was rediscovering Earthbound's preserved butterfly displays. I bought a larger one from another Earthbound years ago during a really happy memory in my life, and I still own it today. Seeing them again immediately brought that memory back. Hannah knew the product well enough to answer my questions about the butterflies and explain what she understood about how they are sourced and preserved. I chose a smaller wooden frame with two unusual butterflies, and before I even had to think about carrying such a delicate piece around the store, she offered to put it safely at the register for me while I continued shopping. That little interaction probably sums up Hannah best: she notices things and handles them before they become a problem. I also found a Moon-themed botanical tote that happened to be the last one. By the end I had purchased the butterfly frame, tote, pants, wrap top, and dress. That sounds like an extremely successful sales job, but it didn't feel like I had been "sold" anything. It felt like somebody paid enough attention to understand what I actually liked. Even after closing time, Hannah was still patient, professional, and kind while continuing to take care of the store. It was obvious to me that she has substantial experience with Earthbound because she knew the merchandise, understood how the clothing actually fit and functioned, knew the story behind different products, and was completely on top of what was happening around her. A really good manager can make all of that work look easy, which probably means customers don't always notice how much effort is happening in the background. I noticed. Hannah is an asset to this store, and I genuinely hope Earthbound recognizes her for it.

The ambience of the store is fantastic and the organization of items as well. Knowing the long wait I had, I actually felt lucky, as I did not want to leave a single display "unturned," as there was so much cool stuff. Hanna was working the counter and the floor at the time, and she had informed me she was the manager as I let her know I would be there a good, long while and conversation she entertained. She managed to give me the time and attention I needed, and I felt welcomed by her; all the while she managed to help any and all other walk-in customers with everything they were visiting for and needed as well!! Great store Too much good stuff The sales and clearance sales always have great deals or or discounts; the clearance section is currently 2-0 versus me, haha, I've only ever been twice and I've had to get a few things every time.
