This Marshalls seemed very nice to me. If one star is bad and five is perfection incarnate I'd say this location specifically was average. Though selection was limited and the products were not strewn about, I was able to find some colder clothes for temperatures that dip into the low 50's. The service I received at the register was fantastic and not pushy, rather it felt sincere and welcome. The clothing value was, well not exactly Ross but more manageable than a larger chain store for goods. All in all an average place that was nice enough. You can have your employees to stop following folks of color. I went in today, was followed around the store almost the whole time. Which was about an hour. Not sure who trains these folks, or if y'all specifically tell them to follow people of color. Mind you, I am a retired military veteran and have money. Guess they were judging me based off of my looks, tattoos. This isn't the first time this has happened at this location. You have cameras for a reason. Quit having your employees target people of color! It's sad because they're also minorities as well. Who does the training? Not everyone steals. Writing this to your corporate office as well because this is ridiculous. Never felt so uncomfortable and not wanted in a store before. I'll take my money elsewhere. If you want your employees to follow people at least teach them how to speak instead of staring and assuming people steal. I'm talking about the rude Hispanic man with glasses and the young black lady with glasses. Your bosses need better training or to fire you. Be better, do better. read more

I love Marshall's so I'm a little biased this location is one of my top favorites but it always depends. Sometimes they have amazing things sometimes I find nothing at all so it really just is a matter of timing. I will say there are few times I have walked out with nothing! read more

Currently sitting in urgent care getting my child's face stitched up after a fall in their store. It was obvious by the screams a customer had been injured. Multiple employees walked past us as she was literally dripping blood and screaming. Not one employee offered anything to help stop the bleeding or asked if she was ok. Prior to the fall my husband brought the manager a broken glass jar sitting on a bottom shelf that could have cut anyone. The manager seemed annoyed to be bothered. I really enjoy shopping at Marshalls. Finding designer items for less makes my heart soar. What doesn't is a manager who makes fun of me. I came into the store and the manager was at the door greeting customers and handing out baskets and shopping carts. I noticed that he asked everyone but me. When I asked him about it he laughed, made a motion to my height (I'm shorter than the average person) and said that he thought I didn't need one. I understand that he was probably joking, but I felt that his gesture and comment were rude and unprofessional. I honestly don't even understand what he meant. Do shorter people not need shopping carts or baskets when they shop? I'm not an expert on best practices for smaller department stores, but I feel like a manager shouldn't laugh at/ discriminate against their customers. Regardless, I still like shopping at this Marshalls because of the great deals and the convenient location. If it weren't for those two elements I definitely would not be returning to this store after the way I was "greeted" by the manager. read more

I always find the best things at Marshalls. I love their dog toys and dog treats, kitchen things, and clothes. I never find shoes, though. I always find cute outfits for work and to go out here. I like that the store is organized and I've had had any issues with the people that work here. read more

Marshalls is one of those places where you find something you didn't know you needed. How do you really describe Marshalls? I'm not even sure how they procure their inventory. I guess it doesn't matter. If you're looking for clothes, shoes, and home goods at discounted prices, Marshalls is your store. I usually go here when I need some kitchen utensil. Usually I can find it without breaking the bank. Likewise, if you need a toilet brush, area rug, towels, and perfume, you should be able to get it here. Marshalls also sells furniture and home décor items but I do not recommend buying those items here because, oddly, they seem remarkably high priced. The other negative is checkout. Maybe a staff member can tell you when the best time to shop is but whenever I've been in their store, the line snakes around and has about 60 people in it. They do their best but dang it's busy! read more

Not too far from work to come in and buy something cute to wear. This place has it all shoe, dresses, books and much more. They have all my sportswear that I love to wear. It's always nice to come into a clean looking store with a wonderful and friendly staff. read more

I just left this Marshall's. And, it's a little disappointing, because overall it was the most organized Marshall's I've ever seen. Unfortunately the service was horrible. Discount prices does not mean discounted service. I was the fifth person in line waiting for the register while only one register was open and two managers (Jonathan and Chrissy) stood behind the counter talking. They looked directly at us in line multiple times and then continued to talk. I won't be back. read more

So I went to Marshall's in Alamo Ranch today. I was looking for new suitcases but didn't see anything I like. I did find 6 pairs of really cute shorts, that I went to try on. The cute little old lady let me in the dressing room with my 6 items. 4 out of the 6 pair of shorts fit perfectly. So I left the dressing room feeling accomplished. I waited behind another young lady to hand the 2 pair of shorts that didn't work to the cute little old lady. The young lady in front of me hands her clothing items back to the little old lady and walks off. I do the same when it is my turn, except instead of walking right off the cute little old lady tells me to hold for a moment and counts the clothing items in my hand. After she is satisfied counting the 4 items in my hand and the 2 she has in her hand indeed add up to 6 items, she tells me to have a good day. I say Vickie, she is old so be respectfully so I just walk off. BTW I only carry my cellphone wallet case so that employees have no reason to think that I'm there to steal. I have no purse, a t-shirt and form fitting jeans on. Then I get to the cash register to check out. There are 3 women behind the register. When I walk up the third lady walks away. Then she comes back but still does not check me out. So I wait for 5 minutes as she walks back and forth behind the register and still she doesn't check me out. So at this point I decide that Marshall's does not want my money. I politely lay all of my items down on the counter, don my vogue eyeglasses, reach in my pocket to get my keys, and leave this establishment. This is not the best Marshall's --but its closest to my home.. I found a pkg of reading glasses for 9.99 -- thought it would be a good gift .. The plastic on the pkg had a big crack/hole in it- I asked if I could get a bit off the price -- as I'll have to repackage it-- the manager in duty said- we don't give discounts for packaging-/ just merchandise.. So sick of stupid business practices-- the clerk was sweet-- the manager needs customer service training -- even gave a snarky ok, you have a good day ma'am when I told her I'd be making a complaint. read more
