My wife and I did instore shopping. We selected a carpet for purchase and delivery. I took a photo of the identifying information to checkout. It took 45 minutes for the store to let us check out. They said they gave veterans a 10% discount, but couldn't. Apparently no one in the store knows how. The sales clerk that was helping tried his best, but his sales folder did not provide for the veteran discount. We set up a time for delivery for the next day. By this time, I had been standing for over an hour. I mention this because I'm 80 years old and handicapped. They were supposed to pickup the carpet from the store at 1:15 p.m. and deliver it. At 4:p.m. I called and was told they couldn't find a driver. it's now almost 5:00 p.m. and no carpet. I do not recommend this store. read more

They always have a large selection and are hardly ever crowded, so you can leisurely. They carry hard to find items at comparable prices.

Found a stylish runner rug here. Customer service was great. Multiple people asked if they could help me. They even brought me a shopping cart to the other side of the entrance, because I thought I wasn't gonna need one...and they noticed I did. =P There are so many home decor things here, for interior and exterior. LOVE LOVE LOVE this store. They literally have anything and everything your decorating heart can desire. The best part too, they have almost every color scheme you can think of. Staff has always been super friendly and helpful every time we've come here, they actually just gave us a tree off the floor for an even bigger discount than advertised. I just feel the quality and price of things here exceeds every expectation, especially when some things here are only $10 but I've seen it in other stores for $60. I also love that they have clearance sections throughout, that's where I end up spending most of my time at & find a lot of hidden gems. First time shopping here. The selection is crazy good! You can find everything you need for your home here at reasonably great prices. The store was very clean and organized. There's so much to look at it and look for, I highly recommend coming with time to spare. I was in a rush during my lunch break so I definitely have to come back. I could lost in this place for hours!!! The selection is great... Lots of beautiful things. Not too terribly over priced. Hundreds upon hundreds of pictures and decor for your home. The rugs and carpets are huge and very nice. They are also nicely priced. They have all sizes. That's one thing I have to say they have a great selection on. We went in looking for wall art, which we found the perfect piece, and a huge living room rug, which we found about 6 different ones we liked so we didn't get one for lack of being able to decide which one to buy. The ONLY reason I did not give this place 5 stars is because, although they offer a decent military discount, nothing they sell seems to be made in America and the lines are too long with just 2 cashiers at a time. Not great selections, seemingly overpriced items for the quality. Just my humble opinion.

So much home decor! It's truly overwhelming. My only complaint is some of the aisles are sooooo dark! Multiple aisles had lightbulbs that were out, some had a bunch of boxes at the very end blocking merchandise and a lot of the clearance items are just on the shelf with no type of order. I could (and have!) spend hours here going from one end of this store to the other! They have just about everything you could dream of for your home. From holiday decorations to outdoor furniture, pottery, barstools, tables, area rugs, cabinets, lamps and shades, pillows, wall decor, sheets sets, comforters, bathroom items, baskets, storage supplies, you name it, they probably have it. I usually find things I didn't even know I needed! There is an incredible amount of housewares and they anyways seem to have something different each time I come. I will say that the quality of some items may not be the greatest, but you can find some really neat stuff and not pay as much as those other stores. read more

Horrible horrible customer service! Seems they should have kept the last Managemwnt because the new one is worse! I took a picture of floor model chairs that I purchased and asked the lady when I purchased them if they can be returned.. The lady said yes as long as I have the receipt and she said I wouldn't even need a receipt that as long as it was under my rewards number and name and they can find it they can be returned and she said no worries. These two men in the picture, Dani and Tristan (supposedly both managers) were horrible and did not want to return even asked for my drivers license and gave to them... even though I had the receipt. Is this the only thing that is left as managers to be hired? What is this world coming to? These two individuals need management training very severely! I will never return to this At Home ever again and stick to my Dallas area at home. I've been shopping here for many years, however, after today, I probably won't be back. I waited patiently , in line while Yoshan checked out a very attractive young woman in front of me. She was not a "perks" member,,so he took time to explain it to her, sign her up, and slowly sacked her merchandise. My turn: he asked are you a member of the perks, I said yes, told him my phone number, no doesn't show up, asked for my number again...the third time, he gave up...checked out my merchandise. OK I'm just going to say that I'm obsessed with this store. I love the selections that they have and I really enjoy shopping here. The prices vary depending on what you're looking for, you can actually go a little higher end or you can get something a little less pricey. I found that it depends on what you're looking for, for instance if you want to a mirror you can get a more expensive mirror or they have a selection of a bit less pricey mirrors as well so a good variety and it's huge place so there's so much to choose from. If you are trying to jazz up any room in the house you can find things here. They do have bedding here but the selection is very small. I really like this place. read more

My first time in this store to pick up a table my mother wanted. I first asked at customer service if someone could just ring me up and bring the table to the front. I was told no I had to go get the table by myself. So I loaded the table on top of a basket and rolled it to the front and had the rudest experience by the cashier! The cashier, Mariah, was rude, sarcastic and literally said it's not her problem that I found her rude! It wasn't her problem! The manager said she would address this issue but certainly didn't address it while the young cashier was still being rude. I will never step into that store again. I have been visiting this store for over ten years, back when they were called Garden Ridge. I love this place! Since they've changed to At Home, they have become more organized and clean. It's the perfect place to shop for holiday decorations, especially Halloween and Christmas. The prices are affordable. Not cheapo and not expensive. Perfect place to find items to liven up your home without losing an arm or leg. They have a huge selection of Christmas ornaments and plenty of artificial trees to choose from! Went in today to use a birthday coupon. Spent a little bit of time and picked out a few items. Cashier said my coupon wasnt working, called a manager to assist. Awesome place to kill a huge chunk of time. If you only have a few minutes to kill don't bother going in. There is so much to look at I this store. The aisles are clean but a tad narrow. They offer huge shopping carts which is awesome but at he same time I think a trap... Set the goods in there and since you see there's more room in the cart you feel the need to keep filling it. ;) The prices are fair nothing spectacular but it's not terribly overpriced either. Everything with a red line thru it is 50% off and I love a good deal! Don't forget to grab a bag of the pretzel splits near the checkout.. I was at this store to find some finishing touches for a bathroom we just remodeled. In the clearance isle I found two small ornamental plants, they were the last ones in this style but didn't have a price, however they were in the clearance section. When I got to the check out I advised the cashier of the issue and she sent a fellow employee to find an item if not the same similar to the ones I had picked. The employee couldn't find one. ( I did tell them that these were the last two identical items) The Manager (NANCY) came to the register and without even listening to one iota said in a very demanding tone said "if the item does not have a clearance tag on it you must pay full price" end of story, she never even acknowledged that these were in the clearance section, that they didn't have a tag at all, absolutely nothing! Shame on you Nancy, and your the Manager???? Wow At Home must have a hard time finding qualified employees that have people skills. read more

Huge, huge selection of items especially Christmas decor. However, the items are pretty pricey when compared with stores like Ross or Target but the quality seems to be the same. Clearance shelves all over but items are mostly badly damaged. The best prices seemed to be in Garden/outdoor. Garden Ridge is a chain now, but where I come from it's a locally owned business. Kind of like drinking Starbucks in Seattle. I moved to a new house recently and needed a few things like curtains and odds and ends so I headed just north east of town to the original Garden Ridge. I was expecting to find tons of choices and great deals. Instead, I found higher-than-usual prices and many empty shelves. It may be that they are getting ready for the next season but over half the store was empty shelves or unopened boxes. I was a bit let down but also know I can head back out in a couple of weeks and there will probably be better choices available. The major bummer for me was the customer service. I'm a stickler for good service and I just don't feel like I got it today. Even at the check-out counter from a woman wearing a name tag that told me she was the store manager, I felt like good customer service was lacking. She had the sort of attitude that made me and some others who came along for the ride feel like maybe she'd rather be at home than at work. Be that as it may, when I'm spending money in a store I'd prefer to be treated like it is appreciated. Regardless, I'll go back and cross my fingers that this was just an off day because I've had many other good experiences at this store. read more

This place has EVERYTHING and ANYTHING! I keep forgetting to look here first when I decide to do some decorating. They have more than just household items, you can find luggage too! The emailed coupons aren't much and are usually very specific (like, XX% off Valentine's decor). Prices are extremely fair though so I don't feel like I need coupons to get a deal. We will go back when it comes time to spruce up our backyard. Patio furniture is so cute & lots of choices! They do have random "sale" signs posted around the store, keep your eyes peeled. The store is organized really well but don't expect to find lingering employees to help you. I only go if my husband can come with, I always need help reaching or moving things. The cashiers are something else though ... each time I've been in I get asked if a personal object is something I wanted to buy (a RIO/LAS VEGAS travel mug, a Kate Spade wristlet, a journal- where I write my lists), so yeah - don't let them think you are trying to steal! read more

Really cool place. Walking this store makes you feel like any home dream you have ever had is possible. I was in there for a crazy amount of time and I still didn't see everything. They have some of everything, literally. From upholstered headboards, patio furniture, bejeweled jewelry boxes and bedding sets to mirrored furniture, home decor trinkets and bar stools. Very vast collections of multiple styles. I will be returning and trying to not buy 3 or 4 baskets of merchandise like I saw most people doing. read more

I was in there on Monday, 04/10/17 during the early afternoon. Shopped and accumulated a cartful of stuff...no biggie, maybe about $75-85 worth of goods. Got to the register at about 2:30 and realized there were about 10-11 of us (all with cartloads) in line with ONLY ONE REGISTER OPEN!!! After not seeing any visible attempt to send backup and no real movement in the line, I decided to just leave after one other gentleman in line did the same. If I want to waste a half an hour waiting in a line, I'll go to Walmart. read more

I purchased a gold metal candle holder from this store (came as a set of 3). There was no price on the tag. The cashier could not find anything in the system using the bar code. She tried to look the product up on-line to figure out the price. She found something similar, but it was described as a lantern and not a candle holder (sticker on product said nothing about lantern) and it also did not show that it was a set of 3. I showed that each of the 3 pieces were sold separately. When the manager (Lynda) came over, she was insistent I pay for all 3 prices the website showed even though the description did not match at all. I was a little upset that that was her resolution as the sticker on the product clearly showed it was a set of 3 and for that reason, it was not fair for me to pay 3 individual prices. She quickly became rude. When I asked for her manager, she said "they left for the day". When I asked for her managers name, she refused to give it to me and told me I could look it up online. I asked her if she was refusing to give me her managers name...because I would find out one way or another and it would be easiest for her to just tell me there name. She still refused to give me her managers name and told me again I could go online to find it. By this time, I am fuming mad at the fact she would not give me her managers name. This is completely unacceptable. I understand that there may have been an issue with a product not having a sticker price or even listed as a completely different product online. What I cannot fathom, is how she thought refusing to give me her managers name would be helpful to this situation. I want to point out that the cashier was very sweet and helpful and did everything she could do for the situation. She was a professional. Lynda is not, and should not be a manager running this store. read more

I enjoy the selection and purchase things here on a regular basis. HOWEVER, if I can't find something then I cut my losses and leave. The customer arrive at all three of the San Antonio stores is so bad that I don't even bother anymore. For example, I've driven to two different stores looking for a particular rug in both a 5x7 and 8x10. When I asked for assistance at both stores the employees acted like I was asking them for a kidney. I'm 5'3" and an 8x10 rug was a struggle for me but I did it. Go in. Get what you need. And get out. This is like the Wal-Mart of Décor stores. I have recently have built a bench for my lanai and now I am trying to figure out some custom pillows for it. There were so many options here. Prices are reasonable for everything. They have furniture, cushions, lights, floral, decorations of all kinds. The aisles are narrow so I about took out a few displaces with my big cushions. The line was extremely long for going during a week day. I will definitely come back so I can pimp out my new chill space at home. read more
