We started with lump crab and shrimp stuffed mushrooms. Although it took longer than expected, it gave us time to dissect the menu and enjoy our drinks. When they arrived they were bubbly hot and so tender and flavorful on the inside and encased in crisp charred coating on the outside giving it a nice texture dichotomy. Note: Forgot to snap pic- sorry. For our entrees we opted to split the shrimp and grits, adding a side of grilled sea scallops. Not normally a fan of grits, I'm always willing to try again and I am glad that I did. They were smooth, creamy, buttery, and cheesy. The shrimp were lightly seasoned and grilled beautifully. Hunks of chorizo and tomato were spread across the top along with a decadent cream sauce. In addition we ordered a flatbread off of "shareable" section of the menu that Ashley had suggested: the roasted corn and spiced bacon. It was absolutely fantastic. Emphasis on "flat" in flatbread (which is my preference- cracker thin, I say!). The pairing of sweetcorn and spiced-bacon worked so well together! Just a delicious bite that had deep flavor in a thin package! Finally, their desserts are served in these little shot glasses and all looked absolutely decadent!
