You are charged for the amount of propane you get. I have been charged for a set fee no matter how much is in the tank from other companies, which isn't fair. These guys are fair, efficient and I have been going there for years. Highly recommend them! read more

Found out about this place on Nextdoor. We were going camping the week after snowmegdon and no one had propane except for Alamo Propane. Showed up with my tank, the gentleman helping us was friendly and helpful. Was $15 to fill up my tank. We will be going here instead of doing the tank exchanges like at HEB, Valero, etc. read more

We've used Alamo Propane since we moved to Fair Oaks Ranch in 2015 and they have always been very good. I have to say, their response to our recent snow, ice and winter weather was excellent. When I awoke Monday morning to see how bad the weather was I immediately called them to get on the schedule for delivery of propane, knowing we would be very low if the storm lasted 4-5 days. They put me on the list and when we had a thaw on Thursday, they were out to the house refilling our tank. Of all my friends that have propane and don't use Alamo, they had many delays. I've been a Propane Depot customer for some 15 years, until recently when the owner stoically refused to believe I had bought a 20lb bottle from him that was nearing expiration and was up for exchange. I decided to try someone new and brought the same bottle to Alamo Propane Delivery. Jonathan was helpful, professional, and quick. While they did not have new bottles on site, they would exchange for a recertified bottle for about $23 (for a 15lb to 20lb fill Propane Depot was averaging $26). Both my old bottle and the exchange were in about the same shape, so I went for it. They do take credit cards for payment, just not American Express. If you are a stickler and want a brand new bottle, hit up Propane Depot. If you could care less about recertified's and just want a fill or an exchange try APD. I can't comment on their delivery, as I haven't had to use that service yet. read more

Even showed me how to turn on my pool heater and ensured I knew what I was doing. I appreciate his taking time to go the extra mile. I will be getting my propane from Alamo from now on. My story I share with everyone about Alamo Propane is "late Sunday evening I craved bbq, as I tried to light up the grill the darn propane tank is on empty. I called Alamo Propane to inquire if they were open, the lady who answered stated they were closed but after hearing the reason for my call she send a family member to meet at the business to fill my tanks up". Just had a propane delivery from heaven. My storage tank is a long way back behind the house and I've been told by other companies it couldn't be reached. Not with these guys, they made it happen and pumped 165 gallons in less than 15 minutes. I couldn't be happier. The owner was courteous, the truck was clean and they were very professional.. I began using this company in 1998 when we ran out of fuel on New Year's Day. The owner came out and filled our tank (we had no heat), and did not charge us extra to come on a day when they were closed. They have auto filled my tank ever since then and have been very helpful in understanding the condition of our aging tank. They installed a new gauge when became unsafe without my needing to point it out to them. Very friendly on the phone and administratively take care of things well. read more

This company is a poor excuse for a company. Once the driver (who also was the owner) finally got to our house he was rude and disrespectful. Refused to fill our big tank because he was going to have to go into the attic to light the pilot light on the furnace. He decided that to service us would be too much trouble and left us stranded without propane so no heat or hot water and its cold and rainy outside. Sorry excuse for a company!! Never use these guys. Propane Depot is more expensive but a MUCH better company!! read more

I have used Alamo a few times now. The first time I called was during the ice storm we had last month. I am a volunteer for the Walter Gerlach Livestock Show and I ran out of propane in my motorhome that we were using at the show grounds. It was forecast for the 20s and possibly the teens that evening when I called. They weren't sure if they could make it out that night, due to bad road conditions, closures, etc. It wasn't 30 minutes later they showed up. They quickly checked the tanks on my motorhome and filled them. Then turned around and said "Thank you guys for all you do for the youth and our community. No charge, this one is on us. Please let us know if we can help you guys again in the future." It's hard to find good people like that. Thank you Alamo Propane, for not letting us freeze. I recommend them to everyone who asks, as well as use them myself. read more
