Let me start my review off by saying I hate to be leaving a rating this low for this store. I love Marshalls, TJ Maxx & Homegoods all alike. I love the stores, the selections they offer and generally everything about them.
What leads me to leave this negative review though is the absolute absurd customer service and "hospitality" I have continued to receive at this particular location over the years. Whatever, I can usually suck it up. But today? ...I actually left OFFENDED.
I always shop here and would consider myself a regular. I'm here weekly at the least. I spend a very decent amount of my money and time here. However, it isn't even about that. It is my belief that customers should be treated with respect and not made to feel like complete and utter scum and most certainly never be made to feel undesirable.
When I checked out today I greeted the cashier with a typical "hello." She said nothing back but I didn't think much of it. Whatever. I start unloading my cart, and I even take all the clothes off of their hangers as I place them down so she didn't have to. Eventually I am given my total and I begin to count out my cash. I put the bills on the counter and go into my change purse to reach for coins so I could give her exact change. As I'm digging through my wallet I notice she sticks out her hand, palm up, and holds it directly above the bills I had already placed on the counter. Odd... okay... whatever. There I am counting out my change, meanwhile my toddler is fussing in the shopping cart. I quickly get the change I needed and place it on the pile of money I already had made on the counter so I could attend to my child. As I'm attending to my kid I notice that the cashier is just staring at me, still with her condescending hand out, directly over the money I placed down for her. I thought maybe she didn't see it, cuz honestly... what an awkward thing to do purposefully, right? Oh no, she definitely saw it! She is staring at me dead in the eye and finally, unfavorably says "can you place the money into my hands?!"

SERIOUSLY????
YOUR JOB AS A CASHIER IS LITERALLY TO COLLECT AND HANDLE MONEY!!! If she was at all offended that I did not place the money directly in her hand for whatever reason at first, THAT IS HER OWN PSYCHOSIS!! Now, I am in my late twenties and she was probably at least in her 50's. If it was a matter of respect, I have never heard of such hogwash. She did NOT appear to have ANY problem picking things up so I do not feel it was a disability issue at all. Honestly I think she was the awful way she was to me because of my appearance. I was literally in shock when she said what she said, I couldn't even think of anything to say back!! I did as The Queen asked and placed the money in her hands and left entirely OFFENDED.
GEORGIA D, you are an absolutely miserable, rude person!!! You are on the WRONG side of the counter to be dishing out poor attitude and patronizing demands the way you did to me. You should be ashamed of yourself!!! I was nothing but kind to you!
Disgusting.
Will not be back to this location. I don't spend money at a location to leave feeling degraded. Management I highly suggest speaking with this cashier about her prejudice ways!! read more
