Ah the nostalgia. This store reminds me of the 90s and early 2000s. That's not a bad thing. I'm not a home decor person, but I do find things once in a while in these stores. My girlfriend and I came in to look around. Firstly, parking is painless. So don't worry about that. Secondly, the store is clean, brightly lit, and smells like candles. There are lots of random things to find here. Random chotskies galore, candles, pillows, rugs, some dry foods, coffee, curtains, etc. The lines are always long, but they move fast. I feel the cashiers get exhausted. Love here for Xmas shopping. read more

Beautiful selection and great value. Been to many Home Goods stores. Great service at the Tinley Park store.

This was a nice trippy little place jam packed with tchotchkes and any number of things and items to install in your house as you finish the fine decorating points. They have stuff to hang on the wall, and frames to display your memories, and wicker baskets to store stuff stylishly. They have vases, planters, stands, artwork, hangings, pillows, and on and on. If you are interested in home decor and the like, you have to visit this place at least once to get a feel for what they can do. We came looking for a plant stand, and we must have found two dozen to choose from. Prices were nice. Staff was more taken up with stocking shelves than helping customers, but that was ok with us. This is like a giant impulse buying experience. Just wander around and something will grab your eye. read more

Pretty decent selection at this store. From decorative items to snacks, this store has a little bit of everything. Unfortunately, the customers are the ones who bring the score down. I went in to see if I could find some erythritol sugar. Yes. Homegoods for sugar. It is not in all stores, so I came by to see what I could find. I did not find any. But they had TONS of yummily items I just looked at.. lol Tons of Christmas clearance items that weren't really marked down all that much. Now don't get me wrong. I love this store and I love their selection of endless goodies. It really is a lovely home decor store. With that said: that is the ONLY reason I am even giving this store any stars at all. I come here frequently and I spend quite a bit of my hard earned cash in here, as I choose to. I do have to say though: CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS AND IS RUDE, RUDE, RUDE!!!!! Any time ever I have had to make a return, I literally get my eyes rolled at!! I just left here and am writing this review in the parking lot because of how rude both the employees AND management just were to me!! I had questions about my return and the cashier literally rolled her eyes at me and gave me a totally stupid answer that made no sense. I asked her one more time to please repeat (hope I would be able to make some sense of it this time around) and she actually threw her head to the side and sighed at me!!! I then asked (politely) if she could please have another coworker or even a manager come over to better explain to me. The manager came over and I am kidding you not - had an attitude right off the get-go! wth?!? I was going to shop around after I made my return but the way I was just treated was so rude I was in no mood to shop around after that and walked out. This is not the first time a situation like this has come up, either. If you inquire for discounts on broken furniture be prepared for more sighs and eye rolls. It doesn't matter the time or day you come here, I have been here 20+ times since they've opened and I can honestly say that I have only ONCE had a positive customer service experience. Cashiers are always RUDE RUDE RUDE!!!!! Management needs to set an example and quite being so RUDE as well!!! This place seriously needs to step up the way they treat their customers for it is absolutely horrid. Unfortunately I will be back because I do love their stuff but I will have to bring blinders with me next time to avoid seeing anymore eye rolls and God forbid I ever ask a question! Also, they don't deliver. So if you see a piece of furniture you like it is up to you to magically teleport it home if you don't have a pick-up or truck or your own to fit it. Brand spanking new store crammed with all kinds of great new stuff and it is closer to me than my former haunt in Lemont. They have cool things to brighten your home at very reasonable prices. I have bought several pieces for our redecorating projects. But none worked out the way I thought they would. So I brought everything back without a problem. So easy to return things, you stand in line right in front of the store and they make it a breeze. That's the mark of a good business, that when it doesn't all go right, it still does. I will be back again and again knowing that Homegoods doesn't make me live with my mistakes. Wish I had had that guarantee with my first marriage! read more

After we ate our lunch we went to this place. It's a department store where you can buy foods, products, material and many other things. There are a lot of people inside. We just roam around in every section and look for the products that we need. We went to the selection of toys. My wife is choosing between a set of barbies or a stuffed toy. Since my daughter loves barbies I told her to choose a set of barbies since she also has a barbie house in our house. Then we purchased a Barbie set. Aside from that, my wife also wants to buy a painting frame. There are a lot of pretty and nice paintings. She wanted to buy it all but in the end we chose only 3 paintings to put in our living room. Every HomeGoods is the bomb-diggity, but this place being so fresh and new- it takes the cake. The organization and cleanliness is fabulous! As an organizational freak myself, I'm in my "happy place" walking around this joint. Glassware is organized by color, which just looks so pretty I could cry. Not only does HomeGoods carry wonderful products, but the prices are ridiculously inexpensive! Great value, great quality- just great, great, great! I purchased a base of faux flowers. It was ,$39.00. some of the flowers were coming off their wires. I asked if they can take something off the price. The cashier asked the manager., Think his name was Dan. He said no and do I still want to purchase it. So he did not care to make the sale or to keep a long time customer. I would have been satisfied with a dollar off, but he would not hear of it! Having been in the industry for 45 years, I have to say...Poor customer service. read more

I dont think ive every heard of anyone say anything bad about homegoods! Yeah you have to look through everything to MAYBE find what youre actually in the store for, but the bargains and stuff they sell makes the experience worth it. I hate pushy sales people in furniture shops and if you get me, you'll love it here!! The workers are nice people and you can find some great things for your home for great prices.... Homegoods also has a great kitchen section and sell things like olive oil/salt/vinegar etc. They also have a great selection of tea, my favorite. I feel like I could do a serious home turnaround with the right pieces from this place! read more

Used to be one of my favorite stores. The rude staff and cluttered aisles, take all the fun out shopping. Will ONLY go back if I need something specific that I can't get anywhere else. This store is the reason people shop online. The checkout is sloooowwww, because they are told to sign you up for a credit card. They don't like stopping after the first, no thank you. So if you have a lot of time and patience, and really need something, try this Homegoods in Tinley. Not a fun place to shop. read more

This location is by far the biggest and well organized homegoods store that I've ever been too! I was amazed at the endless amount of goodies that graced the shelves. The staff was very friendly and although a bit crowded I didn't feel like I had to pounce on the items I liked in fear that someone had their eye on it too... there was enough for everyone. read more

So I have been going back periodicaly to see if they had gotten any more of the mugs that I wanted. Today I found all of the Hotel Collection dinnerware on the clearence rack and the one box of mugs that I wanted was of course gone. But, they did have a case of 12 Palm mugs on the same rack for 10 bucks. Great second choice considering I was willing to pay 26 dollars for 8 from the Hotel Collection. When I got home one of them was broken, so I called. The manager told me to come in and she would give me another one. Done and done. Of course I had to pick up a few more goodies since I was there. Rude customer service my the cashier and manager. Tried to return two items and couldn't find receipt right away the cashier ask the manager to see what the price was she scanned it and she said 3.50 and said I bought it in October when I told her I bought it last night 3rd of March she said no I didn't. A couple seconds later in looking for my receipt I found it and showed it to the cashier and manager that I was right I paid 19.99 the night before they just rolled there eyes and said whatever. I visited last Saturday and the place was packed! The store was bright, clean, well-organized and stocked with merchandise. I was most interested in the kids/baby area of the store which offered great name-brand toys and specialty items at very reasonable prices. I was able to purchase a Lamaze toy, Curious George book set and Sandra Boynton book set for half the price I'd pay anywhere else. I also found a beautiful hand-painted, pink footstool for less than half the price I'd expect to pay at any major retailer in the mall (or online). I shop at Homegoods all of the time. When I travel to other parts of the city and country I make it a point to include a trip or two to Homegoods. I absolutely think that the HOMEGOODS in Tinley Park Illinois is unparalleled. The store ALWAYS looks awesome... VERY NEAT, well organized, interesting displays and so inviting. 2 days in a row terrible attitude 3 different people Donna was one then a guy and another lady . purchased an item asked her to hold it I will call her back in a couple of hours after making sure it would fit in my truck I called her as promised she stated she would get the item wrapped and have it ready, I get back she says I didnt tell you that its not ready ! and her demeanor was bad. I said okay can someone bring out the smaller peice to my truck a guy shows up with a attitude dude its not going to fit I said can you just bring it it 3 times he gives me a bad demeanor just like the lady after it fits i told him i have to come back for the second piece . upon returning the same attitude was given . 3 people same bad attitudes . The only reason I gave this location in Tinley Park a 2* is because of the selection of goods. My experience today was awful. The cashier called the register number when it was ready and took somebody else that had already checked out instead. When I had asked if they called that register number, not only did the woman behind that register ignore me, ALL other employees did. I was not quite either. It would have been nice for someone working their to acknowledge me. Instead the other customers waiting in line did. I'll drive the extra distance for another location after this. read more

This was my first visit here. And, mostly, I agree with the previous reviews. This store is clean, organized and very well stocked. The only problem I had was with their customer service... To be fair, the fourth rep asked if I was finding everything okay. But, the first three reps walked passed me without speaking or even asking me if I needed any help. As a matter of fact, while I was looking at all of the well stocked items on a particular shelf in an aisle (clearly looking perplexed at all of the options), one of their reps came over to restock the shelf that I was looking so inquisitively at. She stood right, and I mean right, next to me. So close in fact, that I could feel her body heat (eww). YET... She never spoke, never asked me if I needed any help. She just awkwardly reached around me placing items on the shelf. No, "excuse me", or "pardon me". Nothing....Just. Awkwardness. I refused to move an inch and stood as still as a statue as she worked over and around me. And not once did she say a word. That has never happened to me before. So, while it is irrefutable that this store is beautiful and well-organized, their customer service is sorely lacking. Good customer service goes a long way with me, and based on my first impression, this Home Goods Store has a long way to go. read more

If Homegoods doesn't have what you are looking for at one time, keep checking back as the items change very often. One major store wanted over $100. Per vase and only had the floor model available, found almost the same vase for $13. At Homegoods. To me, it's like "toy land" for adults plus stores are neat and clean. We have never encountered an employee that wasn't helpful. We love Homegoods. read more
