I wasn't sure if she was afraid I would break something, going to steal, or going to make a mess! When I went to check out, the two ladies at the counter weren't exactly friendly. They both seemed distracted and when I tried to make reasonable small talk, not being overly friendly or anything, just saying I was new to the area and my sister would love the store. They didn't respond and just handed me my receipt and bag. No "thank you" or "have a nice day" or anything. I can understand being busy, I've worked retail before. I just think politeness goes a long way. To top it off, they forgot to put something in my bag that I had bought. Luckily the one woman was nice enough to track me down and give it to me. That was at least a kind gesture. I'm going to chalk it up to stressful day and I will visit again in the future.
