I'm surprised I haven't left a review here yet. I've been to this location 2x now. The layout is a little different than other Nordstrom Racks I've been to. I don't find much here. Nordstrom Rack always a treat. You never know what deal you might find. Most finds are a better deal than finding the same product at Nordstrom or another retail store. Store is usually organized. It's usually easy to finds s sales person to answer questions. Fitting rooms are always available. The Orland store is a great location because it's in the same mall as DSW, Marshall's and Bed Bath Beyond. read more

Store employees following me around while I shopped made me feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. One store employee (Caucasian female with blonde hair) literally stopped and listened to my conversation. It's sad because without a doubt I know I make more than her. Every since they redid the registers, the line is always insanely long. Today it was made very clear that the people who work there give zero Fs about their job. People had been waiting for at least 20 minutes in line. There were 3 cashiers. The manager came up and told 2 of the girls it was time to leave and literally all 3 walked off with 15 people in line leaving one woman. When the back up woman slothed in, she started chatting with the one working about wanting to leave when she does and cleaning the counter. Then she starts rearranging shopping bags, basically making it really clear she had no plan to help with the line. Maybe get some employees who don't hate every minute of their life. read more

This location is horrific. The lines are always, and I do mean always, 20 deep. I am currently in line now and moving at a snail's pace.

Shopped here today horrible customer service. First, i has search for help. Once I found help. I informed worker that the shoe had signs of wear and for 89.00 I figured they should mark it down. It would be a win win. But I was informed the shoe would be sent away. No help to see if I could locate the shoe at another or on line. read more

I have really great luck finding quality clothes and shoes at this Nordstrom Rack. I have encountered helpful staff on the sales floor and in the fitting room. Prices are usually good. Cashiers can be nice or they can be brutal. The checkouts are usually messy. read more

I went today to return an item that I had bought 2 days ago. I waited patiently and as soon as I went to the cashier, I pulled out the sports bra I was returning and she asked me "has this been worn?" I responded no. It even had the tags on there. I was offended because I showed her my receipt and item still had tags on it. She then proceeds to ask me how I paid the item and I said cash. She refused to give me my cash back and put it as store credit. She lied to me and said she couldn't give me cash because the computer didn't tell her I paid cash. I've worked retail before and the receipt always says how the customer paid. I was patient and kind to her but the customer service she gave was very wrong and unpleasant. read more

Terrible customer service. Every time I walk into this store, the line is huge with registers closed and workers working at a snail's pace. They don't care. I was at the store tonight (a week before Christmas) and nothing has changed. No innovative ways to service customers faster. Same hour long line with zero attempt to speed it up. You'd think that they would plan ahead knowing it's the busy holiday season to handle the lonSince Nordstrom's doesn't care about their customers' time, I'm done shopping at their stores. Go somewhere else. Note: I went in store to return something on 12/23. I'm happy to report that it was much better. Lots of people working to ensure minimal wait times. I sure hope this continues! A little surprised at the prices and even the clearance prices. The shoes were, as usual, superb. I just didn't feel like there was anything unique at this Rack. They had a tiny amount of designer merchandise. Most of it was overpriced BCBG and Tory Burch. If I am buying last season, I'm not paying $70 or $80 for a cotton t-shirt even if it is slapped with a designer name. The formal wear and dresses were pathetically thrown on a tall rack and had the look of a prom dress that had been hung up after laying on the floor most of the night. The tags on most were worn from repeated try-ons. 3 starts for the long sleeve embroidered tee that I found for $10 that is as soft as a baby blanket and fits beautifully. Love the clothes, hate the staff. Where do they get off acting like they are doing you a favor to wait on you. Even the fitting room staff is snotty when they pass out the little numbers. They do seem to care that items are where they belong - no size 2's on the plus size rack. The store is crowded but clean and organized. If it weren't for the quality clothing at great discounts, I wouldn't bother. read more

SO happy that an employee from Nordstrom Rack Orland Park Place stole my phone last night. I left it in the dressing room, after being the last one in there at 9:05. I went back in immediately after realizing I didn't have my phone at the register, and it was gone. Called police, camera footage was reviewed, and proved she was the only one in there after me. Responding officer advised that since this occurred in dressing rooms, this all star employee couldn't be detained or searched. 2013 Rachel would have taken matters into her own hands, BUT police report was made, insurance claim was made, and STILL 200 bucks for a new phone. The manager was more worried about getting employees clocked out and alarms going (while police were present, go figure?) than she was about her employee stealing. DISGUSTING. read more

Have only been there once so far. Needed some accessories for my Daughter's wedding. Found a great pair of heels and an evening bag. Paid more than I would usually pay for these items but I know I got really good quality and both were marked down dramatically. read more

Sometimes I have good luck, as in, they have what I want in my size AND I find something awesome for my boyfriend. Other times, nope. It's this kind of inconsistency that makes me pass it on the way to Orland Mall and sigh, wishing it was as good as the Schaumburg store. Alas, it is not. I almost feel as if the first round of full line Nordstrom cast-offs go to the Schaumburg store, and then Schaumburg's cast-offs come down to Orland Park. I'm one of those people who doesn't like to scour the racks to find a great deal. I like to see something, like it and take it with me to the dressing room, so the sale stores don't always do it for me if they're too messy or difficult to browse. This store is pretty good though. Things are in their place and it's not too too crowded to get a nice glance at the clothes. The deals aren't as great as a Marshall's or TJ Maxx, but they have some great steals. I got a hot pair of pumps and some cute summer sandals for less than in store. The sales ladies were extra helpful and nice, so overall a nice store to shop. read more

They have a lot of great variety. The dressing rooms were clean as well. I wish they had a better selection of shoes, but that is not my biggest complaint. The one thing I would change about this place is the time I spend in line. I have never shopped here without waiting for more than 10 minutes. If you have all day, it's a great place. But, if you're in a hurry, you may want to choose another option. All-in-all, I'll still be back when I have time. read more

I don't really like this store--most of the inventory at most NR is not Nordstrom's inventory, just the cheap stuff bought specifically for NR, but this one is worse than the one in Oak Brook. It always feels like overpriced leftovers, and not good leftovers. read more

Filenes Basement shut their ass down as soon as they heard that Nordies was going to be in the same mall. They just opened yesterday and the deals are hard to find. I got 2 pair of casual shoes. Their dress shoes were way more than DSW, which is right next door. This is actually a nice place. The 2 stars is for the jack ass employees. They were all over like flies on shit. But do you think that any of them had any manners? I was looking at some shirts and a manager had his back to me. As he turned around he kicked me and said oh. And kept on going. As I was looking for shoes I had the associates flying by me because they put the rack right at the entrence to the back room. With not an excuse me in sight. As I was trying a pair on I had a girl walk by me with no room to spare . The shoe deptartment is a little cozy. Do you think that there would be shoe horns for the customers. Umm, No. I pulled a new one off the shelf. The customers were more courteous to each other. That I didn't expect. Am I being picky. Screw it. They are paid to be helpful and nice. The rack is one of my favorite shopping destinations. I agree with many points made by the earlier reviews. But here is my personal opinion on the Orland Park location. Fairly good selection- I have gotten lucky and bought a number of different pairs of Nikes, a North Face down coat and a Marc Jacobs cross body. Prices depend on what you're looking for. If you're looking for a Tory Burch bag do not expect to find it for $100. Just not happening. Being that I live in Orland, I avoid this place at all costs on the weekends. It seems like everyone and their mother from all around come to this store and the mall. It's just madness. And I don't like to shop shoulder to shoulder. The staff is hit or miss. Cashiers are always friendly to me, and I once wanted to look at a designer wallet in the case and a staff member was very quick to help me when I asked. However, in one of the reviews before me someone made a comment about the dressing room staff and I must agree. Very unfriendly. Sometimes not even a "hello" is given. One time even I was leaving and went to hand my number to the girl working in there and she just looked at me and pointed at the wall where the numbers were hanging. Which I found incredibly rude. But more times than not, the staff is smiling and cheerful. I definitely have had some luck at this store and it is always clean and well organized. If you are looking for a really awesome Rack I'd recommend the one in Oak Brook. Nothing beats it. It's huge and they have so much stuff! Prices are still the same though. And the staff is REALLY unfriendly there. read more

First time stepping into a Rack..i love Nordstrom but usually cant afford it...so this is a great comprimise. I am finding great stuff. Yes you have to go through the stuff to find what you want, but they do have eveyrthing seperated by sizes so its easy to skim. Think of it as like an upscale TJ Max but with better fashion. I found a pair of plaid dress pants and they were on sale for $21.00 originally $98.00. I bought another pair of pants, a dress shirt, and a belt all under $130.00 if i went to a regular Nordrstom i could prob get 1 pair of pants and thats about it. So i am very pleased with this place and will def. be my new place to shop! read more

The Rack is definitely a hit or miss kind of store but my last visit was definitely a HIT. I went on a pretty busy Saturday evening before the holidays. Considering the amount of shoppers, the store was fairly well kept and there was plenty of staff in each department who were helpful, and it seemed like they were working hard to stay organized. I went in only for a pair of shoes, only to find out that most of their shoes were 25% off! I found exactly the type of shoe I was looking for. I only paid $35 for an adorable pair of $60 shoes! There were many other cute shoes on sale but a lot of them were out of season. In the dressing room I asked an employee for her opinion on two different sweaters. She was super nice and helpful by suggesting what color jeans, shoes and accessories would look cute with each, which definitely helped me make up my mind! Considering the amount of people in line for the register, the line went fairly quick and employees ringing were friendly, quick, and helpful. I only went in for a pair of shoes, and walked out with an adorable pair of shoes, a really cute sweater and a scarf all for less than $100. read more
