"Clare" to my opinion was not only rude to me but also treated me arrogantly! When we agreed by phone on our talent choices, the deposit went from $50 to $100. She sent me a message via yelp that the deposit is only $50 but it changed after speaking to her on the phone to $100. Will the talent fee go up as well after the talents perform? "Clare" as you call yourself... I don't know about you but I keep my word! When you say an amount, you should stick to your quote. Your message via yelp and our phone conversation was not the same quote. I asked for a draft agreement before making a deposit to your company and you madly refused unless I pay a deposit first. That to me is a sign of WARNING!!!! That is a fact to me! Maybe if I had done business with your company before, I don't mind putting a deposit first without reading the initial agreement. But we haven't! Be mindful and don't ask me for MONEY first! Either you we're having a bad day today and you acted rude to me or that's just really your daily attitude towards your prospective customers. Reality check for you....you're not the only company in the area! Great Customer service in my opinion is very important! It would have been nice hearing that from your company which I felt you lacked today. I wonder if maybe Magic of the Nightingale can book more appointments if better customer service was acted upon on the phone while taking these appointments? When i initially contacted the company, "Clare" seemed nice enough - until I put my deposit down! The customer service was absolutely terrible. I was worried immediately about what kind of show this would even be. I hired Professor McGonagall to come to the party (which was Clare). What's included for her performance is the "hat sorting ceremony", face painting and balloon animals. I'm sorry, but the face painting and balloon animals were a joke! The painting was either of a heart, star, rainbow or witches hat - on the cheek. They were barely legible. Probably because of the disgusting old sponges she was using to apply them - yuk! Then the balloon animals I paid for were only a sword or dog... THAT IS IT. Besides that, The outfit she arrived in was laughable. Maybe a witches costume from Walmart. She was wearing tattered gym shoes and was really just sloppy. Again I'm sorry, but for the money I paid ($200 for 1.5 hrs), I really expected more. I purchased scarfs (per the houses for the kids to get once sorted) Clare, for whatever reason, felt she was entitled to one and put it on to wear before the kids even arrived. Thankfully I had a couple no shows so she didn't have to remove it to hand it to someone. I hadn't even noticed until she tried to leave with it. And I only realized how long she had it on when looking back at pictures. Now, I would give anyone the clothes off my back but please ask! At the end of the party we were cleaning up and she told me she was having a slice of cake - which through me off a bit but ok - then proceeded to tell me she was taking the rest home. Keep in mind, I DID NOT OFFER. Now, I wasn't planning on keeping the rest but again, I am your customer! Bottom line, I absolutely do NOT recommend this company or these people for any party. Not if you want good customer service and entertainment worth the price. I used a girl for my sons 1st bday and my daughters 5th - she was $75/hour, did balloons and face painting and was incredible!!! I bet if I paid her what I paid this company, she'd have dressed up for me! Well, you live you learn... I just hope these people get it together or shut it down because this was so very embarrassing and disappointing.
