Workers were very rude. I ask for a favor to check a price because the Halloween items were scattered everywhere. She rolled her eyes at me and said she didn't work last night. That is not what I asked I just wanted to know the price of an item. She proceeded to give me an attitude and handed me the reciept and sarcastically said have a nice day while rolling her eyes. I felt bad for the one employee that was actually doing their job correctly while the other 4 were not doing so and if they had to help a customer they would have an attitude. I believe the company needs to reconsider the employees that were working there today. read more

This Party City fulfilled everything that I needed to make sure my grad received an at-home celebration for the books! This place is basically empty and they want 30 to 40 minutes to blow up 8 balloons. Maybe they should hire some people that want to work in there and actually sell some product. I actually watched them blow up two balloons for the ahead of me and took them about 15 seconds. If you plan on stopping by to pick something up I hope you have plenty of time. read more

The place to go for literally any party item you may need. Kids birthdays, weddings, baby showers, milestone birthdays are just a few of the categories. They also are a great place to get balloons. I think they even have rental items. The only thing they don't have a good selection of are cards wrapping paper and gift bags. I find this rather odd. PSA: listen if y'all don't want to work here then give it to someone else! The woman who assisted me the 1st time there SLAMMED the "balloon price binder" on the table and started talking under her breathe and yelled when I asked her to repeat. Then she kept huffing and puffing at me like I knew balloon talk! I didn't know about the helium to make balloons last longer so like, take it easy on me.. She even crouched down like bending her knees with her face laying on the counter , it was SO strange!! Tossing pens and stuff behind the desk like it was my fault or something .. like .. lady QUIT IF YOU DONT LIKE WORKING THERE. She's lucky I had both my toddlers with me, I was livid but I hid it well and tried to kill her with kindness. It was a great example to show my children how patient we can be when treated so poorly. I ran out as soon as she handed me the receipt, if I would've stayed longer I would've made a scene. Managers, pull up the video from 12.15 mid-afternoon, you will definitely see the slamming, the crouching down. You will see me look back at my family completely embarrassed. I wish I could give a 0....Staff is very Rude and Poor customer service. Came in to pick up balloons and it was very chaotic. Stood in line for 45 minutes to pick up balloons I already ordered and paid for online. When finally reached counter the cashier was very rude. It took her another 10 minutes to find order after claiming I didn't have one. When she finally found my order it was incorrect and then accused me of putting my order in wrong. I showed her my receipt to prove that it was correct and at that time she just walked away and called me illiterate. I asked to speak with the manager and she refused to get the manager. Another associate fixed my order and gave me the correct balloons. Horrible experience. It took almost 2 hours just to pick up balloons that were already Pre-ordered and Pre-paid which is ridiculous! read more

Three times in three months I have been turned away to purchase and fill balloons elsewhere... if you have a helium shortage why not be courteous and place a sign on the store front and notify people before they wait in line for 10 minutes. Also - It's a bit ignorant to be filling helium balloons for someone else yet turn another customers request away... how is it that flower shops and mom and pop stores can keep helium in midst of a shortage but a party city chain can not. He found me a box to put balloons in for surprising my children to Disney because the one I brought was too small. He packed them in and even said to come back if they didn't make it until Christmas. I called ahead for gender reveal confetti cannons. They were one of the only stores in the area that had at least one of each! The worker was kind enough to set one of each aside for me because I couldn't get there until after work. We brought our envelope in and the workers were so excited, kind, and considerate. They opened the envelope all the way on the other side of the store so there was no chance of us overhearing or seeing the answer. They scanned the cannon we needed on another register to make sure the gender did not pop up on the receipt and they checked the entire cannon to make sure it did not say which one was on there. They thought of everything! I would definitely recommend going to this party city for your gender reveal needs. Their excitement and kindness was exactly the experience I wanted. Plus the confetti cannon was AMAZING! So much confetti came out and it was perfect. read more

Do not visit this party city location !!!! We recently moved to Mokena and was so thrilled to have party city so close to my house but what a disappointment. I'll drive the extra 10 miles to Orland Park location The mokena entire staff needs an attitude adjustment & a course on how to treat their customers went in on 3 separate occasions needed balloons for engagement was told helium shortage they didn't offer alternatives didn't say if it's a temporary thing never offered helium tanks to purchase i was asking questions ( very nicely ) and she never responded to me. Just walked away. Yesterday I wanted baby sprinkle decorations and balloons. they had helium but no sprinkle balloons in stock the girl was rude rushing me to decide and told me maybe dollar tree next door has baby balloons I wanted. The staff is so beyond rude so apathetic. Hopefully management does some intensive training and a lesson on how to smile not one staff person smiled or spoke kindly to their customers the 2 that I saw actually never spoke smiled or looked at customers I'll be shopping elsewhere and suggest everyone do the same. !!! read more
