The old store was located down the other end of the strip mall. The new store is a improvement over the old one. The seems to be a wide variety of items here. But right now the Christmas items is over whelming.

Only other complaint is every Family Dollar store I have ever been to (around a dozen) will have at one time exhibited a smell of old garbage coming from somewhere inside the store, backrooms possibly, but this only happens once to me per store (Midlothian, Alsip, etc) 4/5 stars.

I have frequented this place numerous times and have had the blessing of seeing it grow, rearrange and expand. Once I was in there and a worker there was so kind and helpful and even gave me a deal on the two chairs that I purchased. The most recent visit was just the opposite. No one to help or greet. I asked a question and was treated not only like I was stupid but said, "Here's the stairs right here", like I'm some sort of imbecile. I proceeded to want to check out and two workers were too busy complaining and I stood there and waited until they were done. Then when I gave my card she starts to tell me that my card wasn't accepted but then realized she put it in upside down. No apology just again an attitude. I spent over $50 and I didn't know that as a customer I'm such a burden. Take my advice hire friendly people who work only the floor to help customers if you're too busy to help and answer questions. I will still go but there are other shops in the area that I may consider visiting before I'll go back again.

Probably because the person packing the bag pierced it with his/her finger. I went to customer service, that guy doesnt care. The internet service is so bad that I said F*** it and walked out. Think he could have helped, what does customer service mean??? BUT, they have expanded the food choices for other ethnic groups.
