She went above and beyond to box my gifts and make them look so special. She was super personable and pleasant and just an overall great person and employee! I will always continue to shop here.

Oscar was the fitting room attendant and he was so pleasant and helpful. The jackets were kind of puffy and clumsy and he helped me get them to the room. I ended up with a Kenneth Cole jacket for $59.99 and a Calvin Klein quilted vest for $39.99. I even managed to find a pair of Adidas jogging shoes that fit for $49.99. Although there was a line in check out, it moved swiftly. They seemed to have all the cash registers open to accommodate the customers. My cashier, Jose, was cheerful and efficient. He did a real nice job of bagging my purchases. I have shopped or stopped (not all visits end up with purchases :) a few times each year since this store opened a few years ago. This store has always been clean and orderly at the times that I have been there. The staff members that I have encountered have always been pleasant and helpful. This store might not offer quite as much as some others, but if your timing is right you can find some pretty nice items for some pretty reasonable prices. Even when I don't find what I came in the store to find, I always feel good in this store. This store just makes me feel happy!

However, she won't completely ditch the discount stores because there are several advantages when shopping at Maxx or a similar store like this: 1) a massive selection of handbags and shoes: I prefer a brand-new handbag or an unworn pair of shoes. I've realized that half of my handbags from my past "compulsive" shopping addiction weren't functional for my city life. I would rather invest on a handbag, which would cost $100 to $150, but it will last a long time. Shopping at Maxx for handbags is easy-breezy, without being bothered by sales associates. For the shoes, I haven't brought a pair of shoes from a thrift store, yet I've purchased many pairs from Maxx and they last. 2) are you a fan of Michael Kors? If you are, I saw lots of MK merchandise in this location. 3) organic shampoo, shower gel, facial wash, and hand soap: I haven't brought a drug store brand for some time. My trick is to convert my credit card reward into Maxx gift cards, so my "reimbursements" have been used for this category. This T.J. Maxx is very close to the CTA Kedzie Orange Line station. If you're in the south-side area out and about, hit it up when you get a chance.

It's also owned by TJ Maxx too if you delve deep into this place. The selection here is very immense and there's something for everyone here. They have grocery items as well and it especially had my hard to find drinks and even liquid death flavors that I haven't seen in over a year. Me and my wife splurged here. They even have security inside checking receipts, which immediately threw me off. I'm also struggling with the whole "Five Below" concept because it's completely misleading. There are tons of items priced at $7, $10, even up to $30, which is absurd for a store built on the idea of everything being five dollars or less. Checkout was another headache. If you're paying with a card, they force you into self‑checkout, and there's only one human‑operated register for the entire store. The whole experience was just... meh. Not terrible, but definitely not what the branding or photos promise.

I…read morewas looking for shirts for my boyfriend and Burlington is my go to spot since they have entire section dedicated for big & tall men. I scored some really cool graphic tees for my boyfriend and even got myself a Lattafa perfume for $19.99. There's 2 entrances to the Burlington, one towards the Chili's & Kohl's and the other is inside the mall. I wish they had a bathroom inside the Burlington because the bathroom in the Chicago Ridge Mall is quite a walk (it's near the food court). Customer Service: The staff were friendly. The line wasn't long when I came which was around 1-2 pm on a Monday, but I can imagine it being busy on the weekends. The security towards the entrance/exit of the mall was really friendly and checked my receipt. Merchandise: This Burlington location has great inventory. You can find some good cologne/perfume here like the infamous & luxurious brand, Lattafa. My boyfriend is plus size and they had great inventory of plus size graphic tees. Overall Experience: Overall, I had a great shopping experience at Burlington at the Chicago Ridge location. The staff were friendly, great inventory, & affordable prices. I hope this review helps Burlington in the Chicago Ridge location, Burlington in general, & its current and future customers. Have an amazing day!
