I was at Evergreen Park, IL TJ Maxx store trying to use an electronic gift card I received for my birthday to purchase items I selected. I could not use the gift card because the code issued was wrong. The manager, David L. was super helpful. I can't say enough about David L., Manager how he was patience, and provide overwhelming help to me as the situation was corrected. I really enjoy shopping at this TJ Maxx location! I'd say out of all of the TJ Maxx's in the area, this one has the most friendly associates. The best thing about coming here is honestly, I always find something in the clothes department as well as the beauty department. There's always a wide variety of sizes for the clothing and options for beauty items. Also, since the associates are so friendly; it makes the end of the shopping experience just that much better. I'd like to see the home section improved! I feel like there's a huge miss at this location for that. I wish there were more items to choose from and then I just feel like it's so disorganized but I think that's because of the lack of inventory. Overall though, I love this store and its location so much!! read more

Tj Maxx is my favorite store and I'm very disappointed in the lack of service I received today. The staff here needs customer service training and should be more considerate of customers! I called before making the 45 minute drive for a dress they put on hold for me. I provided the brand, price, color and style number. I arrived to discover they put the wrong dress on hold and didn't have the dress I needed at all. I asked can they call another store and was basically told to do it myself. They didn't even apologize for the inconvenience this caused me. read more

This TJ Maxx is very small. The store is very clean and each section is labeled so you can walk directly to the section you are shopping. The fitting room area is always well attended and customer service is friendly. Shopping carts are plentiful and in good condition. If you are in the area, stop by you will surely find something to buy! read more

The store was a welcome addition to the neighborhood. I have shopped there often especially because of the sterling jewelry case up front. Saturday 2/22 the lady in the jewelry department during the day has not always been the most pleasant- she usually the one there but took it to another level Saturday -- Miss you cannot open the boxes of cosmetics or no one will buy them. I am like "what did she just say?" Not a hello,excuse me, could you please...I said "well how will I know if I like what is inside?" to which she replied "Its on the box! So people- there are countless boxes of mark down items items in that area that someone looked at by opening the end- not tearing it and looked at the actual shade of lipstick, rouge or any other item you may buy. I purposely walked the entire area- tons of boxes with frayed covers from opening and yes we do open boxes...yes we still buy it...I even got home once and the box was empty- rouge with no rouge in the case. Fool me once...The boxes still get purchased !! Salesperson you are in the wrong business. You do not make people feel welcome, you frown all the time and you never make eye contact on a sale. Please do not approach well paying customers like this. We are not five years old ... Put signs up if you do not want us to smell the shampoo, look at the lipstick, try the lotion, spray the cologne. Lock it all up then in plastic boxes so no one will buy. Other than her pleasant cashier so wonderful and happy to be there. read more

This TJ Maxx has outstanding customer service! I was very happy with my purchases at this store as I usually am. When I arrived home from a recent purchase I did find I had left an item behind unfortunately. I was anxious to call the store because I had a horrible experience at the Burlington coat factory down the way when they double charged me for a pair of earrings and didn't want to do a simple refund-- the case was clear, but their manager had the mind of a simpleton and the attitude of an ignorant beast-- see that review lol! I was so pleasantly surprised to receive such wonderful customer service from the manager Veronica at TJ Maxx! She had genuine concern for my problem. She was patient and listened while I explained what happened. She looked everything up in her computer and she even took the time to locate the missing item. She held it there for me to pick up. There wasn't a big hassle, I was treated with respect, and I felt valued as a customer. Thank you again Veronica! :) It seems more and more stores seem to go downhill in the customer service department. The stores don't seem to value the dollars we bring to them. However this store does- and with so many choices out there- this is a smart way to do business. They had awesome stuff but the customer service just wasn't there. The young lady at the register was very nice but the jewelry had something up her ass. She made me feel so uncomfortable because she was literally staring me down looking ovver my shoulder while I was lookiing at the makeup. She kept telling me I couldn't open packages which I understand but some pallets were already opened and she kept yelling at me to not open them. It's as if she thought I was stealing but believe me sweetie I have the money to be purchasing the makeup I was looking at, I walked out with a cart full of makeup. read more

This very newly opened store is in the former Evergreen Plaza space that was raised and rebuilt as a strip mall. A good selection of handbags, accessories, housewares. One of the larger mens's sections I've seen in these kinds of retailers. I found a few handbags and some great children's clothes for my goddaughter. I'll certainly be back! read more
