Over the past couple of years, I have found this Target to have improved greatly in their customer service. Product in stock, helpful and friendly employees and quick check out service. And quick and easy returns. I worked in customer service in the retail industry for over 30 years and people are always quick to complain. People never tae the time to comment when their service is good or even OK. So I want the public to know I am highly satisfied with my shopping experience at this location. read more

You have one of the most rudest employees working at the Oak Lawn Chicago IL location. Instead of a cart I grabbed one of the carriers. I went to go pay and put the carrier on the belt and laid two bags of chips on the side of my carrier. Your cash register employee Laura only scanned the two bags of chips and rudely said if that was all? I said no the stuff in the carrier as well I couldn't even finish my sentence until she aggressively grabbed the carrier turned it over and Threw all of my items on the belt. I had some little coke minis that I couldn't even purchase anymore because by her catching an attitude and throwing my items all the gas probably left the sodas. I asked what her problem was and why she just threw all of my items all she could say was that I had to take the things out. And that's perfectly fine but there are nicer ways to tell someone that don't just grab the carrier and throw my things. I normally don't say anything but that was just so uncalled for and one of the rudest things I've ever experienced. Even the customers in back of me noticed how rude she was and couldn't believe what she just did. I spoke with the manager and she said she was going to pull her and have a conversation. Right on 95th, hard to miss. Drive-up parking spaces are right by the main entrance and there are close to 15 drive-up spots. I was a bit surprised that it seems like it may have multiple stories, which is unusual for a suburban Target. Large parking lot, no-fuss pick-up. read more

I'm not leaving this 2-star review to just vent - I have some useful training advice I can offer. When you have an online pickup customer waiting off to the side for an extended period of time while store associates look for an item that is "lost" in the back, train the associates to come out every 5-10 mins or so and simply say to the customer "we haven't forgotten about you, we're still looking for it, thanks for your patience!"...SIMPLE. What was possibly only 15 mins of me waiting off to the side with no updates felt to me like a half hour, and I'm convinced it would have been an even longer wait had I not gotten back in line and re-initiated an update along with the refund/apology/store credit. I went to this target to get some last minute Mother's Day purchases and it was so crowded and disorganized. Employees seemed like they would rather not be working. The pharmacy line had 8 people in it and only one person working the pharmacy. The self checkout had only 2 stations open. The line was halfway down the main aisle, people could barely get into the store. Hardly any regular registers open and it seemed like everybody was having an issue. If I knew it was going to be that bad I would've gone to the Crestwood location, which I find to be a much better managed store. read more

Placed an online order at 6:30am today, got to the store checked in and it said it wait. Waited 10m, they brought out orders to people that clearly pulled up after me. I logged back in the app and my order had been cancelled. I call and spoke with Emily who says she is the Manager and doesn't know why my order was cancelled, so my time is wasted. read more

I arrived around 12pm and the store was active, but not crowded. The workers were very distant and as I was wandering, I noticed none of the staff approached me to ask what I was looking for. I spotted some of the staff grouped in the stockroom joking and laughing. However, I did notice the store was slightly more dense with staff as I walked towards the electronics section. The staff at the electronics section, two men, were very cheery, helpful, and inquisitive as I was looking for a computer mouse for gaming. They asked what I wanted regarding price range and features to narrow my options and steered me in the right direction. I could tell that they were knowledgeable and were excited to indulge me in small talk about games, electronics, etc. They even let me check out without having to travel to the front of the store. Have a bad experience regularly. Today was worse. When I asked to speak to a manager, she was condescending and had nothing but excuses. Only one register was open. Asked for assistance to ring up at self checkout because there wasn't a price tag and the woman walked past me and her excuse was she didn't know I was talking her, but I was asking for help. I visit this target at least 2-3 times a week, for all of my essentials. I've never had an issue visiting this location and I've always taken pride in that. On this occasion, I purchased essential items for the holiday but also medicine since my family has been sick this week. Saturday & Monday I visited and did target pickup, my order was ready within 10-15 mins. Today after a long day at work, I come to pick up my order that I placed overnight. I arrived at 3:50pm, I checked in and received my code. By 4:30pm, I had to use the bathroom so I went to the staff that was at the front door and expressed that I needed to go inside, but that I had also been waiting for more than 40 minutes. The gentlemen then reported that "it's busy in/outside and others had been waiting as long"... he then stated that my items were on the cart and should be at my car by the time that I returned. I returned a few minutes later and the items weren't out yet. 5pm comes, in frustrated at this point because it has been well over an hour. I then go inside and report this information to a manager, the manager then reports the info to the supervisor, Dara. Dara approaches me and says "your app must be outdated or your phone is old because it doesn't show that you've even arrived. I was pissed, because not only have I been waiting for well over an hour, I'm then greeted by a frustrated staff member who projects her frustration onto me without understanding that I had been waiting for over an hour! Another staff member then walks up and apologizes for her and kindly asked if I'd like a gift card for the inconvenience but I rejected it because I believe that reporting Dara to corporate is more important. I used to praise Target Oak Lawn for its swift and hospitable Drive Up service. But slowly but surely the quality of service has declined. Today, they hit an all time low. After waiting 25 minutes, my order was brought downstairs. I pulled away with confidence since my app notified me the order was complete. When I got home, I opened the bag to find a molded pack of applesauce. I am disgusted and disappointed. To think that a Target member would choose this from the shelf, put the item in my bag, and not see this molded product is unbelievable and unacceptable! I will be returning to the store for a full refund and request to speak to the manager. This lack of care does not represent the Target brand. read more

Everytime I go in here the lines to checkout are endless. Target needs to hire more people

I mean it is target we all go there because we love it, while that love runs deep lately target has been dropping the ball. During covid the lines are ridiculous. Saturday 12/5 self checkout line was to the back of the store there were 4 self checkout lanes open. The lanes containing a cashier were open (3 of them) but the line was also to the back of the store. I ended up walking out empty handed BUT the starbucks line inside of target was empty so the trip wasn't a total waste! Guess next time I will order online for store pickup! read more

The only store I have been in to in the past 6 months that has not figured out how to check people out during Covid times. Awful. The lines there are astronomical and the cashiers are sorely understaffed. Walked out twice - second time the lines went all the way to the appliance part of the store - which is the back part directly opposite of checkouts. On January 6 I went to Target in Oaklawn. Very Happy they have the Scooter near the entrance and full of power. The employees are very friendly and there to Help also nice and clean. Store you can find everything But then the BATHROOMS VERY NASTY THE Family bathroom flooded floor and STINKY Then Main Women Bathroom just VERY VERY NASTY AND SMELLS. The target website said they had fire sticks in stock. 9 I believe as a matter of fact. It won't let me buy one ahead of time so I drive here and they don't have any. Purchased order online for online drive up. They gave me a similar order, but not what I ordered. I didn't notice until after the young lady left my car. Mind you, I did drive up for a reason. I went into the store to return the item, and the young lady at return said, "I don't know why they gave you these. We have 12 of what you ordered in the store." The young lady proceeded to tell me that what I ordered is all the way in the back of the store. And the lines were super long. Wow! Thanks Oak Lawn Target. This place is huge, and even has opi nail polish, the beauty and hair care displays look like a set up from an Ulta store, it's really clean, the people are nice and it's very organized. The elevators are huge and can hold about 4 cart in there. I really enjoyed shopping here. read more

Awesome place! They recently updated this Target location in the end of 2018. It's your one stop shop for everything you need in the Oak Lawn area. From groceries, home necessities, to school/office supplies - you just can't go wrong. Don't forget any gifts for loved ones too! Tried Drive-Up service for the first time. It's a great idea. I had my kids in the car and they just wouldn't sit still. It did take them 10 mins to come out with my orders so I didn't really care for that since the kids didn't sit still and got desperate. ‍but it still is better then going into the store with restless kids. On this beautiful Sunday morning I went in for a simple price adjustment and ms yelena at guest service had the worse attitude for no reason. Simple because I wanted a price adjustment and not return and re purchase the item. I wasn't rude or irate she literally did the price adjustment and turned her back and walked away as she was walking away she said you can get your receipt out the printer. High traffic target. They're pretty well stocked considering the pandemic. The one thing that really irritates me though is the carts. You guys have all these employees - and they're always nice as hell - but for crying out loud, have someone collect the carts in the lot. I know you guys can't control the idiot customers who leave their carts to roam the lot when they're done with them but more than once a cart has been touching, if not hitting, my car. Target in Oak Lawn has really gone down the tubes. There were no carts on a Friday after a 30 minute wait. Once we got past that hurdle and made it to line the machine in which you insert your card did not work. The cashier stared at me as if I had the power to fix it. The manager when I entered the store was awesome, but Robyn was awful. She walked away mid complaint. She is completely appropriate for the store. A broke down, poorly run store deserves a manager of the same caliber. I will take the extra time and spend the extra money going to Willow Springs or Countryside. This is the cleanest most well managed target I've ever been in. I travel for a living and I like to visit the Target stores. But of all the stores I visited and there's been hundreds, I've never found a store so well managed as this one. The people are friendly. The service is great. Target in Oak Lawn decided to profile me as a thief. I had a pick up and told the employee she decided to contact LP. This lady was told I purchased the item and even offered to show the pick up receipt. LP still came out and watched us as we were checking out. Then after the transaction decided to come toward us as if we were stealing. Your employee was told I purchased the item and offered proof but didn't inform LP. I went in there today and the store was so clean and had everything in stock. Roxana was so nice and even asked me if I needed help finding anything.
