I live on the south side of the city and checked out a few furniture stores that were HIDEOUS. All of the pieces had the design aesthetic of 2005 and they were insanely expensive to top it off. I wasn't crazy about ordering a couch off of the internet because I really wanted to see how it felt to sit on. I wasn't even thinking about Ashley but THANK GOD my niece went over there to look for her own couch. The pieces at Ashley are in style, comfortable, and sturdy. If you are in the market to furnish your home then you MUST stop here. They have pieces that look similar to RH for a fraction of the price. Plus the staff is great. I know there seems to be some complaints on this site but that was not my experience at all. plus anyone complaining about furniture delivery during Covid needs to realize that ALL of the stores were backed up due to our borders being closed. I looked at alot furniture when i purchased mine, when i made my decision when i walked into Ashley store i thought i was going to be very happy and even bought the extended warranty. my furniture was a little over $3000, after 1.5 years my coach started peeling. i contacted the customer service dept even when into the store to complain and they stated its not covered under warranty because its wear and tear. I tried to explain i understand wear and tear but maybe after 3-5 years of having this expensive set. They stated there is nothing they can do. My furniture looks so bad now and i will never recommend there stuff or buy the warranty since they have every excuse not to cover your items. after 2 years i called again and still the same story its normal wear and tear. I wasn't able to exchange the last item that I purchased because they said they had a three day exchange policy. I have never heard of anything like that "three days." If you ever purchase anything from this store, just make sure you've got it 100 percent right because they show no compassion for their customers. Purchased a chase lounge that didn't fit in the door March 2025, it was returned to the store! It is now January 2026, and I still have not received my refund yet! I have made multiple calls and have been advised that it would be refunded and then it went to investigating the refund. It has truly been a nightmare. However, the icing on the cake is I advised the sales rep Angel Hernandez repeatedly that I didn't want the furniture protection plan for $699.99 and he deliberately added. I personally went to the store to have it removed, only to be told I have to call the finance company. To this date I have NOT been refunded for the chase lounge that didn't fit in the door or the furniture protection plan I REPEATEDLY advised the sales rep I didn't want. We were given the 800 number to call and lied to about having a request put in for an even exchange (which is actually known as a reorder and you'll get nowhere anyway). They claimed it'll take 48 hours to hear back (That was CESAR). We decided to go back to the store to find out if there's anything helpful they can do to assist the call center. I decided to call again on our way there and spoke to ALEJANDRO who assured me it was there. I called back yet again while IN STORE and was given the run around and HUNG UP ON when I was speaking with Ms. Rita about what that call center agent was saying. Then called them again, still while IN STORE, spike with Paul who said he made notations and now it was on the store manager to do on her end. NOPE. Wouldn't even speak to us like we were standing there. At that point my boyfriend lost it and I had to send him out so they wouldn't end up calling the cops on him Whoever thar store manager was who was there today on 3/4/23 was a real pill. Subpar service, Salesman MIS(Missing in Store), shady by running multiple credit apps with misinformation that impacted my moms credit and they did zero about it. This is a fess pool, but not everyone is like this in the store. Right now, someone put me on hold for a manager, hoping I will get discouraged and hang up. I went to purchase a bedroom set, and I'm doing so I made the decision because of CoVid that I would take what they had available so that I wouldn't have to wait long. Well now I've been waiting and getting the run around for over 2 months. They keep telling me all my items are there and available, setting up delivery dates and them backtracking and saying it's no longer available. My tale begins September 2021 I went into Ashley to buy a bedroom set as I just bought a house and needed actual furniture for my bedroom. Initially my store experience was good my sales associate was helpful I knew what I wanted bedroom set wise so he didn't have to do much work just finish the sale. Completed the sale he said that because of Covid and supply chain issues I should expect my delivery some time in December of 2021- which I understood and asked the sales associate to just have all furniture delivered on the same day so that there wouldn't be multiple trips. December 2021 I am told furniture still wasn't ready for delivery. January 2022 I received a call that my delivery was canceled because the items weren't available (I wasn't notified of a scheduled delivery so that was ok with me). February 23rd, 2022 received call and text that my furniture was available for delivery-- I scheduled delivery for February 26th, February 25th, 2022 received call that my entire order was not available for delivery. March 1, 2022 received text and call that my entire order was in the warehouse and set to be delivered scheduled it for March 4th, I took off work that day so that I would be home for the delivery as it would be on a day that I was supposed to work, received a call March 2nd all furniture not available no delivery , March 3rd all Furniture available for delivery- later that same day furniture not all available so no delivery. It is now March 22, 2022 when I call to check the status of my order it says not available should arrive within 18-20 WEEKS. We are over the 6 month mark here folks-- multiple scheduling issues on Ashley's side, warehouse apparently doesn't know what items look like to know if they are in stock. When I asked if there was any sort of compensation for the hassle with scheduling delivery and the fact I was told 3 months and its over 6 months now. The C.S. Rep said you received a Labor Day discount that is all you get. I can't go and buy something from another company because my credit score is low and it is showing on my Credit Report as having an open account with Ashley. So I am literally screwed, Sleeping on my mattress on the floor, clothes in suitcases because the bedframe, and dresser that I ordered still are not available. Bottom line I will think hard before I ever contemplate even stepping foot into an Ashley Furniture store again-- Everyone else should as well. and I will not be referring anyone to Ashley after my experience. I called the number you provided and no one answers. The few is an automatic message that states to send you a text to leave a message. This is ridiculous! I want a refund . This furniture is garbage! You had people come and put together a Chester and leave it there while knowing it was defective. Now I have a Chester I cannot use after waiting over 5 months!!!! You have customer service who lie and people working from home with bad connections who also lie. It shouldn't be hard to get a refund on defective items. I had someone call from your store and say a new chester has been ordered. I filed a complaint with the BBB. That's the only way to get someone that responds correctly. If I could leave a review without stars I would. I went in looking for a new bed frame and mattress. The woman salesman who helped me look for the bed was actually nice and helpful. I can't say the same for the male salesman who helped me look for a mattress. He made me feel uncomfortable and incompetent and it was an overall terrible experience. He was an older male with a shaved head and I've previously had an experience with him once before but my experience at this Ashley's has proven time and time again that it's lacking customer service skills. Very disappointed, we ordered a sofa, loveseat and recliner with the 5yr protection. The salesperson said we could drop the protection at anytime before delivery, we decided to drop the protection and went back 2 days later and talked to the same salesperson and he said he would talk to the manager to get this removed along with delivery changes because we decided to pick up the items. After not hearing from Ashley I made multiple calls and they said it would be worked out shortly, I even went back a third time and was told by the same salesperson that the manager was in an interview and they would have everything worked out and would call me back that day, that was 4 days ago and we have yet to hear back. We made out purchase on 7/27 and have not received any calls or emails regarding getting this resolved. At this point we will now work on getting this purchase canceled. read more

Worst experience ever!! I purchased new couches in the beginning of this summer, when they were delivered they came in boxes very well protected looked new. The delivery guys decided that it was a good idea to fully unwrap the couches outside in a stormy day and damaged them with mud. It has been about the 7 times of trying to get my new couches and un damaged and Ashley has not been successful. I have spoken to the warehouse to customer service and to store managers and all promise me new couches and have failed with their promise! I have been very patient but because I am patient with them I feel like they are trying to take advantage like Rita from the store customers service told my wife that they have delivered couches and taken 120 off what more do we want! Honestly keep the 120 but get me new couches since that's what I'm paying for!!! Everything they say is a lie. In November, when I bought the furniture, their salesman told me that the furniture would be delivered around January or even earlier. However, after a month, I consulted their customer service and replied that all the items were expected to be delivered on 03/08. This is a full two months later than I was initially given. I'm moving into a new house in January, and now I may have to sleep on the floor and have no functional furniture for two months. Their website also shows that many items are in stock and will be delivered quickly, which is a lie don't believe it. When they get your money, they don't care about you anymore. Their customer service is also a joke with no real help except repeating one sentence over and over again. In short, don't trust them and choose another furniture company. read more

I purchased couches two months ago. I was supposed to get my couches delivered 2/20/21 and I did not receive anything. I called of work and spent all day waiting. I tried calling the store 30 times and no one ever answered. I had to waste more time to drive to the store only for the manager to tell me that the couches are still on their way. But there is no update on them. I have not way to track my couches and when I try calling no one answers. It is 2/21/21 and I have not received anything. If i could rate this store 0 i would. I purchased furniture from this store in March, and was told it would be here by July. Well i just got my furniture last week, and guess what IT DOESNT FIT. The girl that persuaded us into getting this furniture looked at our measurements and said the extra piece of the sectional would fit. Well it doesn't. I had the worst time with Ashley furniture I order a sofa from them in October 2019 I got nothing. I know it takes at least 4 to 6 wks to get the furniture I was cool with that. Giving 2 stars based on my experience with the sales representative. Purchased a mattress, and after awhile it's feels as if it's sinking. BUT SINCE MY PURCHASE OF SAID MATTRESS....I HAVE BEDBUGS !!! Hmmmm, I can't with them. Never intended to return, just needed a new mattress. Oh had to remove plastic from box spring ( mattress kept sliding everytime we sat on it). . ZERO STARS DO NOT BUY! I was so excited when I bought my furniture here but after paying the money for the 5 year warrantee and filing a claim and it being denied. I will never shop here again and I will tell everyone I know not to bother at this store! My dinning room tables paint started to chip. I reported it and they told me that they would not cover the problem because it was considered accumulative damage. I reported the issue as soon as I saw it and I am dissatisfied that they dismissed my claim! They told me that it was considered accumulative as of the purchase date which makes no sense. Not good. The salesperson ordered the wrong couch that cost $300 more than the one I wanted. I thought the price was a tad high, but the salesperson never showed me what he was ordering. So when the couch was delivered, it was not the couch I wanted. (And the couch that was delivered was raggedy.) The delivery guy was nice enough, but would not take the couch back, only told us that we had 36 hours to object. So we called right away to complain. The rep told me that they don't accept returns. I explained to her it wasn't a return. She said her manager wasn't in the store, but they would call me back in the morning by 11 am. Next morning...afternoon...nothing. So I called again at about 1pm. I was told that the manager was in a meeting and would call me right back. At 4 pm I called them, and sat on hold for 45 MINUTES waiting for the manager to come to the phone. I call back, and the rep apologizes that he didn't pick up, and tells me that she is not going to transfer, but would find the manager herself and bring him to the line. Another ten minutes. Spoke to the manager and explained my issues, and let him know that not only did I want them to take the couch, but I wanted them to refund my money because I didn't want to purchase anything from them. Not only was their customer service awful, but if the couch they delivered was an example of the quality of their stock, I didn't want to take the chance that the couch I ordered would also be raggedy. Took another ten minutes of him offering to inspect the couch before it was delivered -- it didn't occur to him that perhaps they should inspect EVERY piece of furniture before it's delivered. It took an additional week for the couch to be picked up. Now I have to call them to have the refund processed. Never ever again will I purchase from ANY Ashley Furniture. read more
