As of today, I'm still waiting for my furniture. I was told July 3rd would be my delivery date; however, after calling on July 2nd because I hadn't received a delivery window, I was told that my date had been moved to July 10th. No one calls to let customers know that dates have changed or anything. Outside of being on their best behavior and making the customer feel very special in the store, customer service is extremely poor. And although they take the money from you almost immediately, trying to get a refund is almost impossible. At one point, while I was in the store, I was told that if I wanted a refund, it would take about 8 weeks to get it! Why????? So I can't get my furniture and can't get my money back? At this point in time, I'm about to talk with my bank in order to get this resolved. I'm way past frustrated trying to deal with them! read more

One star is one too many for Ashley Homestore. Good evening, I purchased furniture on the 7th of September and were given an initial delivery date of 28 October 2020. That date came and went without a call. I called again November 5th at 10:37 AM and spoke to young man that I did not get a name of. I explained to him our non delivery issue and he told us that our table and chairs were in but they were waiting on our couch. He told us that it would be delivered on the 18th of November. He never stated that it was a tentative date! He explained that someone would contact us on the 16th of November to set up delivery time. Today we waited all day for a call and when we did not receive one we called again, this time we spoke with a young lady named Stacey. She told me that the items were not in and gave us two new dates for our items. This time she explained that they were just projected dates and not set in stone. This is unacceptable, as a business to not be able to give you a firm date for delivery is just ridiculous. We would never have completed our purchase if this was said to us upfront. Everyone is blaming Covid for the delays but cannot explain how we were given three different dates for delivery with no guarantee of the last date given. We are beyond upset and are weighing our options at this point. Your policy of giving dates with no explanation that they are "projected dates", not guaranteed dates is just ridiculous. Ashley Furniture (AF) delivered defective furniture to my home. It took 1 year and 4 months for AF to finally replace it with acceptable furniture. I turned away approximately 9 deliveries where AF tried replacing the defective furniture with more defective furniture. Some of the furniture looked used. I tried reaching corporate to no avail. Customer service kept transferring me around and then would hang up on me. This was the most frustrating experience ever. I will never shop at AF again. I wish I could give 0 stars. read more

We bought a mattress from him a few weeks ago, and when it arrived, the mattress was frozen so the delivery men were not able to bring it up to our bedroom because it was not bendable enough to move around. I was pretty frustrated because we couldn't reschedule someone to help us out, so I messaged him to see what he could do, and HE came over to our house to help bring it upstairs! If I could give this store 0 stars I absolutely would do so!! My husband and I went to Ashley's to buy a 3-piece couch. We were very clear that we are only looking for furniture that is currently in stock. We understood that it would limit our selection but that's what we were seeking. We selected 2 couches and a rocking chair - $3,700 total. We paid with debit and opted out of financing. My husband took off work so someone can be home when our couches would be delivered. After half the day passed we didn't receive any communication about the status of our delivery. My husband called the store and found out that the delivery was pushed back by 2 weeks. Ashley's did not communicate this change to us!! As you can imagine we were pissed. We were promised that the couches were in stock and going to be delivered that Saturday. They tried to give us multiple discounts but we refused. We wanted our couch. Almost two weeks later I talked to multiple representatives and they all refused to cancel our order! They kept trying to reschedule the delivery and offer discounts for the inconvenience. At this point I'm livid. I spoke with the store manager and I don't know who trained him on customer service but clearly, he needed a refresher course. He was not apologetic or accommodating. His only solution was to cancel our order with a 10% cancellation fee. I explained that if we would have had our couch when promised we wouldn't have canceled. We were not in the place to wait another 2 weeks! I'm aware of the supply chain issues. However, we were very clear on our needs. If it wasn't possible to receive our couch on the scheduled delivery date that should have been communicated before my husband took off work. We were inspecting a delivery that ultimately never came!! But after we go back and forth he still refused to cancel the order without the 10% cancellation fee. We purchase a sectional living room on 6/13/2020. We paid that in full. According to Maria from Burbank Branch which we had no problem with her. We were going to had that delivered on July 8, 2020. We throw our old living room set away thinking they were going have it deliver that day. I received a text not a courtesy call saying that our sectional was going to be delivered until 08/24/2020. Now today 07/21/2020 I was looking at my bank statement and i saw that Ashley Furniture refund my money without them calling me or giving me any explanation. What kind of customer service is this.? I was calling Ashley furniture to ask about my sectional calls afters calls i had no luck. Call were hanging up. Workers from on the other side were just picking up and hanging up. I'll never shop here again.. I purchased a king size bed frame and mattress set and they messed up my order. They delivered the mattresses first (2 weeks before the headboard set) and when it was finally put together, I realized they had ordered me the wrong size box springs. They ordered me a 2 inch box spring vs the 9 inch that should had been ordered. Now I have this huge as gap between the mattress and the headboard making it super low and ridiculous. The mattresses were in the guest room laying against the wall while I waited for the headboard so the 72 hours to return or exchange have passed. I called customer service and they said there was nothing they could do so I said take your big as headboard back then im not keeping that based on an error your salesperson made. They are quick to chase you around the store but not to help you out when something is wrong. They say you can return if unsatisfied if within 72 hours.. this is bullshit. You can only exchange. a simple fix that could've been done on their part since they messed up turned into a bigger ordeal then it should have. read more

I purchased a bed frame, mattress and remote controlled adjustable base for the mattress totaling approximately $2700. After haggling with the store manager and sales agent we settled at $2350. I paid and left. At home I went on the Ashley site to view items I had purchased. To my surprise the mattress I paid full price for was on sale. They tried to gouge me for an additional $330. plus tax. I called the store immediately and spoke to the manager. He asked me to send him the link for what I had found on the site! WTF! It's your store you look it up! Which is exactly what I told him. I demanded a credit to my credit card before I hung up or the order will be cancelled in its entirety. They credited my cc and I am happy with my purchases. However I suggest you check the store website because prices can vary and clearly the sales agent and store manager are less than honest in letting you know the difference. My husband and I bought our kitchen table from here during their labor day sale last year. It was the "managers special" nice table good price. Major mistake. I've had problems with the table since the day it was delivered. Starting with the delivery guy who made sure to let us know he had to make it in time for the Bears game. As a football fan I could understand that but that doesn't mean to rush through the job to the point of carelessness. On top of the fact that the table itself didn't even have any bottoms on the legs of the chairs or table. Usually they will have something on it to prevent your floors from scratching, even a piece of felt would have been fine. But it had nothing, when I asked the delivery guy he said "that's the way the table is" I doubted it but assumed because it was the "managers special" that maybe it really was just like that. Flash forward a couple weeks when the first chairs leg fell off while my husband was on it. Luckily my husband caught himself before hitting the floor. Again we tried to look past it and my husband screwed the leg back on and that was that. Or so we thought. At this point all of my chairs randomly have the legs fall apart. Which is embarrassing when company is over. Unfortunately for us since the table was a decent price we didn't get a warranty on it. Figured it would last us a bit and worse case we would get a new table. Did not think that the table wouldn't even last us a year!!! Regardless of being the "managers special" the table was still over $500. Terrible quality, terrible service, wouldn't reccomend anybody to go here. FRAUD!!! BUYER BEWARE! I purchased a lot furniture from here when then were running a 60 months 0 interest special. First, they deliver damaged furniture. The deliver guys knew when they set everything up and somethings were damaged but they said nothing, after they left and my husband moved the night stand to plug in my phone he noticed aprox. a 5 inch hole in the back of the night stand. So i had to call them to come back and get it and replace it. Now i've been calling for weeks asking when i will receive the first bill, i couldn't get any help. Finally i get something in the mail where i can log on online to see my bill. Guess what! Not only did they not give me my 60 months no interest, but the amount of the bill is double what we agreed upon in the store. The excuse they gave is that one finance company offered the 60 months no interest, but not all of them did. It just so happens the one i got assigned to doesn't offer it. Through out the entire experience at the store i constantly asked them about the special deal and they reassured me everything went through and was fine. I am so disgusted with this sham of a business. Do not believe anything you read in the store or what the crooked sales people may try to say. After waiting over 3 months for my order, and a month past the date they stated they would deliver I still have not received my furniture. Not only have I not received it, the sales agent told me they just now realized they don't deliver to my address. When I called to check on it 2 weeks ago they told me delivery date shows delivery by January 2022! What?! That is absurd! We purchased a table from Ashley furniture and used it 10 times. After the 10th time we noticed that for out of the six chairs had loose legs. We called Ashley to complain of the problem and ask for another set. We were told by the sales manager at this facility that the table requires maintenance. I've had a table for 28 years and never maintained it once. Then she felt as though I was speaking to her inferiorly because she is a woman. I don't care if I'm talking to a man woman dog baby or other, I will speak to you in the same manner I will speak to anybody else. She then goes to get her general manager. He also told me that tables and chairs require maintenance. If you want to buy a table and chair set that requires maintenance please use Ashley furniture. Buyer beware!!!! I went about three weeks ago to purchase a bedroom set for my daughter!! All was good they told me they had a sale if we buy the whole set, which we did. I received my delivery in about a week. All though I was missing some stuff I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I called 2 weeks later and told them I haven't received anything and they told me they "will look into it and call me back by Tuesday". Today is Sunday and I have not gotten a call back. I called them today and still could not get any answers as to where or when I'm going to get the rest of my purchase!!! I asked to speak to a manager two times and their customer service is horrible!! They cannot help you or give you answers all they say is they will look into it and call me back. Well after 20 minutes they finally put a manger on the line which he was no help. He still gave me the run around and offered me gift cards which I told him why would I buy again if I'm having such a bad experience with them!! I don't even want to give them one star. WORST customer service in the entire world. They gave us a window of when they would deliver two items that we paid for. Great. That was easy. No. We see on their tracker that they skipped our stop. No call. No show. We called for the fourth time to follow up on the delivery. Heres where the nightmare began. It took forever to get someone on the line. Once we did it was the worst customer service ever. Pointed out the obvious of the missed delivery and offered zero solution or redeliver date. This applies to both the actual store we purchased it from and the AF customer service line. The worst part about this is that we arranged our entire schedule around this delivery. Took off work so we could be here to receive it. Delayed our trip we had planned. All because they gave the excuse that they couldn't fit their truck....we hired movers to move into this building in a GIANT truck. It's AN excuse. It's laziness. And to not even call is beyond me. Your job is to deliver furniture....in what world are you living in that you see a problem where you can't deliver something and you choose to drive away from it? Had this person called, we could have coached them through the delivery. Incompetent. Lazy. Zero empathy. Flat out don't give a........ I wish I read these reviews prior to getting involved in such a disgusting and downright laughable company. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. It's not worth the $$$$ and above that, it's not worth dealing with the people that work at this place. If you should feel so inclined to waste your money, please contact me. I bought an expensive mattress from them a couple of weeks ago. I had to make an appointment, but when I got there the salesperson was helping a walk in. I asked specifically if they would take away my old mattress and was told they would, and she even said she was writing it into the delivery instructions. After waiting a week and a half the delivery man came an hour and a half before the delivery window I was given, when I was not home. My son let him in and he did not take the old mattress. He just left the new one leaning against the wall. Since then I have been on hold with customer service for literally hours. I had to go into the store to talk to someone, and they eventually told me they wouldn't take it because of the virus. I have left several messages for the manager who has not returned them or reached out to me in any way. I understand mistakes can be made, but I have been ignored and have never encountered such terrible customer service. read more

If I could give it negative stars I would. I spent around $7000 at this store I ordered a bed and a mechanical base because of the mechanical base they did not deliver the wooden slates (the wooden supports for the bed). I called them on 12/15 and they said they would have them delivered in 1-2 weeks. When the wooden slates weren't delivered on 12/30 I called them only to have them tell me they don't know what is going on with my delivery and that they would call me back the next day. The next day nobody called, so I called them the day after they said they were short on stock from their supplier and it would be delivered to me by the week of January 14th or the beginning of the following week (Jan 21st) I called on the 21st and I was assured by a rep and a manager that they would be in by Jan 29th and i would receive a follow up call on the 29th to confirm and go figure, no call and yet again, no delivery. I called support twice and waited on hold only to have them answer and hang up on me both times. It's now 2/5 (almost two months since my first call) and still no delivery or call back. I would never recommend anyone to buy anything you can't take home with you that day because god forbid you have to deal with their customer service team to get what you paid for. read more

After my negative experience at the Valencia store I was never going to shop at Ashley again. But I decided to go in to the Burbank store and see what they had. I was pleasantly surprised to be helped by a friendly and extremely knowledgeable sales person; Frank Vinci. He made the shopping experience fun and easy. When I had to call the store about my order Jennifer was always friendly, patient, and efficient. In the store, Amy was also friendly and resolved my issue quickly. When my love seat was delivered, Javier Ruiz was extremely efficient and pleasant even in a very hot and humid day. These people have changed my mind about Ashley Furniture, however I will only shop at the Burbank store. Be sure to ask for Frank. read more

I purchased about $4,500 in furniture back in March. I originally purchased a black leather couch and love seat and dining room table. Danny was my sales rep and was helpful pointing out items based on my requests. He also took the time to figure out the sale price of all my items and of course try to up sell me on their services. A few days after my purchase I decided I wanted to purchase the server to accompany my table and cancel the additional warranty after doing some research. I called and spoke to Danny and didn't hear back for several days until I showed up at the store and he was more than happy to help me and apologized for not returning my call. I get they work off commission but who doesn't call their customer back especially when they are spending an additional $600 dollars?! Needless to say the manager Sonia tried to convince me to keep the warranty saying how great it was when thousands of online reviews say otherwise. Do your research and do not let them bamboozle you into buying their expensive warranty. I did an exchange for the warranty and paid the difference to purchase the server. They assured me it would all be derived at the same time. Fast forward about 3 weeks. My delivery was scheduled for a Monday and I get a confirmation the Thursday prior. I get a call the morning of my delivery from the store manager Sonia saying my server is on back order and didn't make it on the truck. Excuse me, but I thought that was the point of confirming my items. I get over it figuring I don't need it right away and that my essentials items are on the way. A few hours later the delivery truck arrives and the men start uploading. On the way in to my place one of the guys says, "so you already know about the couch, we have everything else for you" while the other guy is setting up my love seat. Excuse me? I thought my server wasn't being delivered. I call the store and Sonia was like, "oh I'm sorry I made a mistake, it didn't make it on to the truck." As much as I tried to maintain my cool I was furious. She was "apologetic" saying that it's very rare that items don't make it on trucks but that I should be understanding that it's outside of their control and she'd see when they can get me my couch. Fast forward to later that night, I get a call from Rita, who was by far the most helpful person at the store who tells me my couch is on back order and won't be available for another 3-4 weeks. I thought my couch didn't make it on the truck, how is it on back order when it was confirmed for delivery earlier that day? Rita worked her magic was able to get my couch set up for delivery later that week in the evening. I thanked her and she said the manager was giving me a $100 gift card to help compensate for the hassle. A few days later my couch was delivered but the guys couldn't get in my doorway due to a sprinkler system in the hallway directly in front of my door. I ended up having to refuse the couch and couldn't return the love seat because I had already "accepted" it. I call the store again and they are of course unsympathetic. I finally get the to agree to an exchange if I can find something else I like. I go I and there were no other sets I liked and that I was willing to spend more money on. I end up exchanging my couch for a second love seat because I wasn't going to be happy either way. Moral of the story is if they had delivered my items when promised I could have rejected the set. I truly feel that they should have taken back my love seat as it was their mistake not mine. I even called corporate and they were no help. I will NEVER shop at Ashley again after the aggravation and horrible customer service from this last purchase, which is a shame because I really love some of their furniture. By the way it's July and I still haven't received the $100 gift card they promised but it's okay because I don't see myself stepping foot in there ever again. Very disappointed in the horrible experience I've had so far with this store. To start out, we visited the store twice before completing our purchase and scheduling delivery. The first time, the salesman we worked with was helpful and encouraged us to pick our furniture but to come back a few days later to take advantage of the Memorial Day pricing and financing that would be available. Not only did he give us FALSE information regarding the sale prices, when we showed up on the day indicated to make the purchase and the salesmen was not there and we pretty much got a "sorry, not sorry" from the other sales people regarding what he told us. Despite the misunderstanding, we continued with the purchase and scheduled delivery.. At the time we were informed that the bed frame we ordered would be on back order and 2 deliveries would be made to accommodate. One on June 15 and another with just our bed on July 4th. On June 14th, when were received confirmation of the initial delivery for the 15th, we were notified that the bed was available early and we would be receiving it on June 20th. We even called the store to confirm and they ensured the bed was available early and would be delivered on the 20th. We made accommodations for a delivery IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WORK WEEK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY, only to receive a call at 2pm the day before saying (June 19th) that the bed was not available and would not be delivered until JULY 11th. July 11th, being AFTER the original date given, July 4th. How did the bed go from being available early to available even after the first date? I called the store a couple days ago to confirm the delivery date of July 11th, only to be told that they have NO RECORD of the call confirming July 11th as the new delivery date AND confirming that the delivery is actually set for JULY 13th. I explained to the woman that I spoke with the inconvenience that the entire ordeal has caused but never received an apology, ANY offer of compensation or any indication that she cared at all about my concerns and dissatisfaction. I explained that its been over a month that I've been waiting on the bed and at this point would prefer to pick something else out that could be delivered immediately. she said she would speak with my sales rep and have them give me a call to discuss those options. It has been 3 days and I have heard from no one. This store is subpar and has a terrible way of handling customer concerns and inconveniences that THEY cause. Theres no reason there should be so much back and forth about this delivery date AND complete disregard for my time as a customer. I purchased a love seat & sofa on February 20, 2015. I ordered a brand new sofa & love seat from the warehouse expected delivery was on February 27, 2015. The brand new sofas I paid regular price for (2,000 with delivery) came to me stained and the delivery men brought it inside full of snow. The sofa bed I asked to see was frozen, the delivery guy said I had to wait about an hour if I wanted to check it out. I returned these "new sofas" I wasn't offered anything for the inconvenience until I complained and requested for something. They gave me a $150 gift card. For another week I had to sit on the floor I wasn't offered temporary sofas. My next delivery date was today March 8, 2015 between the hours of 8-12pm. I have no call no show. I called the store around 10am they said my sofas should be expected within an hour. It's 1:20 pm and I have no sofas. I called the store and I spoke to sales associate I probably got transferred many times. They called me back after 30 min to tell me they damaged my sofas and they're in back order. I spoke to Sonya the manager n she said I can either take a $100 gift card of choose some other sofas because I won't get my sofas until April 13, 2015. I refused to settle for $100 or any other sofas because I don't like any other kind. Then Sonya the manager said she didn't like my tone because I was upset & she was going to hang up on me. Shouldn't anyone be upset for their poorly customer service they provided? Ive been without sofas for almost 3 weeks and now the next "expected" delivery date is in 6 weeks and they couldn't even provide me with temporary sofas for the meantime only $100 gift card! I want my money back! And don't waste your time! They are money hungry they will attack u as soon as you step in to their store get your money sign a contract and then leave you hanging in the end. BUYER BEWARE!! ASHLEY BED CAME WITH BED BUGS!!! Recently, I purchased a beautiful bed from Ashley. It was one of those fabric covered bedframes. Very nice, good quality! I loved it. After being delivered, I was initally very happy with my purchase. However, after sleeping in the bed a a week or so, I realized that I was starting to get BITE UP EVERY NIGHT. At first I did not connect it to the new bed. It took another couple weeks of being bite and thinking I was just breaking out with some type of rash or something on my arms before I realized what was really happening. Then finally one night after getting bite yet again, it finally dawned on me that I was being bite by FREAKIN' BED BUGS. LET ME TELL YOU I KEEP A VERY CLEAN HOME, AND HAVE NEVER HAD A BED BUG ISSUE IN MY LIFE!! And I have not traveled recently. On this night, I got a flashlight to inspect the headboard, and sure enough there was a colony of bedbugs living in a few of the button holes of the headboard. I was disgusted and livid!! because I knew for a fact that those things got into my house WHEN THAT FREAKIN BED CAME INTO MY HOUSE! The next day I called Ashley to tell them about it, and all I asked them was to REPLACE the bed with something else because as you can imagine, I could NO LONGER sleep in a bed infected with bed bugs. The manager told me that there was no way the bedbugs came from their warehouse and that she could not help me. This pissed me off because I know for a fact that the bed bugs did INDEED come with the bed as I NEVER GOT bite prior to getting this bed. And 1 week after having the bed all of sudden I started getting bite. That is no coicidence! Anyhow, ASHLEY WOULD NOT DO ANYTHING NOR WOULD THEY TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY. So that's why I writing this review to WARN OTHERS. One of there warehouse must have freaking bedbugs. I ended up throwing my expensive bed outside and spending loads of money to eraticate the newfound bedbug problem. Luckily the bed hadn't been there but a few weeks so the problem didn't extend beyond my bedroom. However, I still spent over $500 to fix the bed bug problem though. Do NOT purchase from this place. Unreal. Coming up on my third delivery now. The first delivery, was a set of bunk beds I purchased. The crew damaged the bed. Scratches, striped screws, screws that were not even screwed in all the way, the bed was put in backwards. The ladder is also put on backwards, so it's not even safe for my son to climb. The crew was so rude and disrespectful, when we told them about the screws, and scratches they did, the replied "you want it or you dont." The one gentleman started calling my brother a "B" word in spanish, to his face. So rude. I was promised a new set, and a new crew for the next attempt. So my next delivery was last week between 2-6pm. I didn't want to miss it, just in case yet again anything goes wrong. So I had to take that day off of work. I get a call at 8am saying they will be here in 20 minutes!!!!! Usually I would love that, but now I had to miss 8 hours of work, because I could not get my shift back. So as they pull up, and enter my home....who is it? One of the guys from the last crew!!!! That I was reassured would NOT be there. I was so pissed they did that to me. As he walks in with the bed, it's in shittier condition that my original bed was in. They told me it was a new bed. Yeah, I call bull shit. So I call the store explaining my situation, and the manager says he will send me a $100 gift card. Ummm, I dont want to spend another penny at your store again! I want proper service, and what I paid for!!!! I then demanded his bosses name and number. He provided me with the name, Art Balducci and gave me a fake number!!! So lovely.
