Only sticking point is that no one called me to let me know. When I called to confirm delivery days later is when I found out. It was very easy to go to the actual store to see the current inventory. Fred was very helpful in selecting a comparable fridge, swapped the items in the computer and the next day I am sitting waiting a few hours before going shopping. I am so sick of eating out! Delivery company they now use is fantastic. They called day of delivery with a window and then called when I was the next stop. Old one out, new one placed where I wanted it, easy peasy. Thank you to everyone. I have already been browsing the dishwashers........ I will be back.

I chose this store based on the Google reviews. I'm surprised by the poor Yelp rating based on my experience and the Google reviews I read prior to visiting this store. So for starters, there's a mattress match questionnaire that I completed before visiting the store. I also researched prices to get an idea of how much I'd spend. Secondly, you can text the store for any questions prior to visiting. Staff responded and Tevin was the associate who helped me in-store and via text. When I got to store, he explained so much to me about the sleep experience and products I asked about. When I considered different mattresses, Tevin started on the luxury end. When I explained my budget, he found me comparable mattresses with drastically reduced prices. I've bought mattresses a few other times in the past but this, by far, was the simplest, easiest, most informative process. Tevin did not waste my time by trying to upsell me. He listened to my expectations and showed me products I liked that fit my budget. The Yelp reviews don't mention the nice staff I interacted with. LeVoria and Tevin were fantastic! Sine they were complimented quite often on the Google reviews, I figured I'd go to Yelp to compliment them and Mattress Firm. I had such a wonderful experience, we took a photo. Seriously, who does that? But for real, for real, this was a great sales process and shopping experience.

Their friendly faces always welcome us in, they're so helpful yet don't hound you or follow you around the store, they stand behind their products, and they were willing to help us with whatever we needed to ensure we were happy customers. Even when we moved to the suburbs, we still preferred to take the drive to John's furniture because of our past experiences and the quality of products we've purchased from them. I honestly wouldn't go anywhere else to purchase furniture.

The…read morereason is that the barrier to entry in the retail mattress industry is so low - getting into the business is fast and easy, and for their storefront locations all they need is an empty room in which they can lay out their mattresses ... there is no buildout necessary for a new location, so they appear quickly and can disappear just as fast. Another reason is that they take up excess space for short times while the owner is looking for a more permanent tenant. Out here in Orland Park there much be two dozen mattress stores, almost to the point of being a bit funny. We stopped in at an American Mattress store because they are one of the few with some name recognition. First we went to the 9392 West 159th Street store and then to the 13119 South LaGrange Street store - they are about four miles apart. We went to both because what we wanted to see wasn't at the first. Anyway, long story short, they were both very nice. We liked the prices and the low-pressure sales. No complaints. We bought two mattresses.

If you go, make sure to ask for Saul Castillo, he took great care of me, explained a lot about the mattress and its inner-workings, to make sure it was the right bed for me. If you're reading this, you probably know that the mattress game is all about customer service, as in many cases the pricing will be the same across all competitors and both Saul & American Mattress provided that. I'm a bigger guy, so needed to make sure I got good support / firmness while still getting that plush feeling. Once ordered he was communicative with me the whole time and helped push my delivery through, within 2 days of my order.
