This location keeps claiming they have a product in stock, yet everytime, and I've done it 4 times, when the instacart driver arrives they cant find the product and when the instacart driver text messages me I ask them to ask a manager, and the manger tells them they don't have the product. Yet online, meijer is claiming its in stock and no one is updating the inventory. Terrible to be misleading customers, and very poor to not be adjusting their inventory. I 100% do not recommend ordering from meijer as a whole because they can't even get their inventory countdown correct and are being very lazy not to adjust it after 4 attempts to order. There are other options to shop, and I suggest pursing any other option over meijer. Incompent employee's who cannot be trusted with your shopping needs. read more

Douglas Brown, the store manager, is severely underperforming due to his inadequate customer service skills, which hinder his ability to fulfill his responsibilities effectively. He exhibited laziness by neglecting to check the back of the store for CoolerTone sunscreen. Subsequently, he accepted a rain check, only to later refuse it. Accepting a rain check without fulfilling it is considered a sign of laziness. However, now we are faced with the inconvenience of returning the next day, which coincides with the departure of my family on vacation. The sunscreen was available at a buy-one-get-one-half-off promotion, but we attempted to mix and match, but were unsuccessful. It is imperative that this individual be terminated from his position. We intend to contact corporate immediately in the morning to report this unacceptable service. read more

I am a senior & do not have nor want a smartphone. When I shop at stores that have their Digital Deals, I've always asked the manager if they have hard copy coupons. Usually they do not, but they do give me the discount without issue. Never has it been a problem. NOT Meijer! The ONLY store that ever refused to give me the digital discount. Today this Meijers made this day one of the worst that I have had in a long time. At about 12:10 I was at the Meijers gas station across for the grocery store. I went there with intention of getting $47 worth of gas to fill my gas tank. The cashier whose name is Laniyah, took my transaction. I went out to the truck only to find that the pump was not working. I checked my receipt and it showed that she had only given me $40 worth of gas on pump 7. I thought ok no biggie Ill just drive to pump 7. I could not go to the pump because someone had already pulled up. I went inside the gas station to address my concerns. The cashier looked at the receipt and then at her registered and saw that the gas had been dispensed and there was no money there. I told her that I did not pump the gas. The supervisor of the gas station stated that I had to go to customer service at the store. Here is where I got very heated. After waiting on the manager to come and talk to me 20 minutes later, I had to call the store from my phone within the store. She told me she was at the gas station talking to the employees ( a lie). She came to me and gave me a card with the $40 on it and proceeded to tell me that next time I should make sure that I give the right pump number. I told her I did give the right pump number the cashier put in the wrong pump number and the wrong amount. She reinterated a few times over that I should give the right pump number because they have the right to refuse my refund. Well I had a lot of choice words for her. I asked for the general manager number. After calling the number that they gave me (which was the same as before) I got the same manager but I wanted her boss. I proceeded to tell her, I am mostly angry because you called me a liar to my face. She stated that she did not call me a liar. I said that by you stating that next time I should give the right pump number you are calling me a liar. I told her isn't it possible that your employee heard me wrong when I said $47 dollars, she heard $40 dollars on pump 7? She did not acknowledge the miscommunication. She only proceeded to debate with me. I gave her a few more choice words and hung up on her and headed back to the gas station to give the cashiers a piece of my mind and get this $40 gas. The cashier argued back and forth with me. The supervisor walked out with me to help pump the gas using the card and stated that the bullet proof glass sometimes makes it difficult to hear what a person is saying. He was more understanding than anyone I talked to today. I sent an email to corporate, and I intend to call them on tomorrow. One thing about it, Ms. Laniyah can never service me again. I will request a different cashier every time. I'm going back to get that managers name. I left in haste and forgot. I will steam over this for a couple of days. I will make sure everyone knows about this location store (265). read more

The Meijer bakery in Orland Park is amazing. The manager is wonderful to work with. I have had many very positive experiences usually on holiday weekends and they have always come through their products are delicious. They fulfill custom orders, exactly as specified, and they always have something when a dessert Emergency pops up. They are truly professionals and always kind. read more

I tried. It's late, I'm tired. I am not going to stand there and scan my own groceries while half a dozen employees stand around and chit chat. I just can't do it. I left a cart full of groceries because they can't get one employee to ring me up. I asked a manager. To his credit he went and got one of the loiterers. She told me she would help me. I said to the manager I have a full cart of groceries siting right here. If you can't get someone to ring them up I can't buy them. The women that said she'd help me started to argue with me. Don't EVER do their curbside pickup for TOYS. When I tell you... I've spent 2 hours of my week going back and forth with customer service from the cashier to the managers, after constantly arguing about the invalid online order I received... They LITERALLY disregarded my request NOT to substitute with two different orders in the same week. Then when I go in after looking in the bag to tell them that was not what I ordered, the ignorant manager wants to insist they gave me everything I purchased after OBVIOUSLY showing my emailed confirmation with what I ACTUALLY purchased. In addition to them giving me whatever they felt like it instead of what I paid for, it took them an hour to figure out why they couldn't even find the items in order to return or exchange it... how is it possible you can't find something I was charged for and have a receipt for???? Oh idk maybe because I was charged for several items I didn't ASK for. I wrote to their order corporate and they apologized and had the absent store manager Tammy give me a call but when I called her back she never returned my phone call. I was actually in the store and SEEN her in the aisles but she never felt the need to come to the front to rectify the situation after the lady called her twice to come to the front. The biggest issue the entire scene was the LACK of accountability of the incorrect items I received. A manager named John finally came and simply allowed me to exchange what I didn't want without arguing with me... I did nothing wrong but order online and pick it up from Meijers. I had to go in both times and find better comparable items than the ones I received and then wait for them to stop being delusional about whether they did something wrong.... Do NOT waste your time on this trash customer service and careless order delivering to curbside.. at least not at THIS location ! read more

I had the opportunity to visit this store a few times I have a snapshot that shows I was not charged based on the item. My last couple visits have been less than satisfactory with respect to the pricing and my last visit it was almost 90 degrees I had items for my dad that needed to be refrigerated on this hot day. I had a coupon for a free drink I could not wait to use on a hot day. My coupon expired the next day and the cashier informed me that the machine was broken. I went to Customer Service after all, Customer Service USED to Service the Customer's they told me I could go to the gas station. Was that the best they could offer? Visited Meijers on Father's Day to pickup some breakfast items. I was met in the lot by an Meijers employee ( Omar. S) . Omar had a container full of trash and stated " good morning , happy Father's Day, how is your day going! I of course, immediately responded to Omar with my own greeting and continued into the store. I noticed Omar was on the "spectrum" and appreciated the hiring practices of Meijers since I have a grandson on the spectrum as well. My favorite store these days. I love Meijer for so many reasons. On a good ad week, you can save a ton of money. The app coupons are great savings too. The Evergreen Park store is always clean and friendly. I go there so much that the staff knows me. I can have a goal of getting lunch box items only and end up leaving with Sunday dinner, cleaning products and veggies! I mean every single time! My cart is full at about $80 to $100 every visit. The store on Mothers day quiet. 2:30-3:15pm I was on a mission and got all I needed but thought lets get a roaster chicken. They were out so I asked Deli person..She said oh about three minutes..So I wait.. I aksed again about 10 minutes kater. It becomes 10 minutes ..staff are goofing around..people are not getting waited on..I see the chickens oven door is open so I ask " I know I am early but can I please get chicken? " I tell a young guy, a short girl and still the chickens re not out. Tick tock..more time passing and they all see me but look right through me... I then walk around behind back area where she is and ask can I please get a chicken and I am tired and not to well today. She says I had to wait till he got the containers. I wait 10 more minutes..we are up to 25 now and finally a manager type man comes up to me and says are you waiting for something. I say yes 25 minutes to get the three minutes till done chicken. He walks around the back and gets me one. She was going to make me wait until every chicken had been packaged.;people had been standing up front ..no one waiting in them..no bell to ring..laughing and screwing around in back. Oh I get it they thought it was funny~! If there was manager in the deli we do not know where. Some people just walked away..one person went off on them for no service.. The chickens were near burned by the way. The store has not painted or fixed anything from the last review and is far from the store it opened as. read more

This store is close to my parents so when I visit them and need to do some grocery shopping this is where I go. It's always been a nice store and I do like their variety of products/food but there is never a quick visit to this Meijer. Their deli staff is extremely slow, something that takes 5 minutes in any other store takes close to 20 minutes here. Their checkout lines are never open it seems, only 3 lanes in the entire store! This is an underrated gem in the Evergreen Park/Beverly area! The store usually well stocked, organized and has pretty decent prices. The lines are never long; they have many registers including self checkout. The best part about the store is the pharmacy. You usually can get your prescription within hours or less. Also, they will research the best price for your prescription without you asking them. It's incredibly helpful; especially with prices being so high. They are short staffed as everyone is right now. It can be hard to find someone on the sales floor. But when you do, they are very helpful. read more

Terrible customer service. I bought my kids 6 boxes of Topps Holiday cards. Walked to my car and noticed one of the boxes was dented pretty bad. I walked back inside and asked to just switch it out with a new box since it's a gift. The service desk said there are no exchanges. I am a health care provider. I phoned in a prescription and left my full contact information with the pharmacist. When my patient arrived to the pharmacy the next day they were instructed the pharmacy did not have the medication in stock and that another pharmacy who sold it for much higher price had their prescription. Extremely poor customer service!! I waited with my son almost a half an hour at customer service just to return/exchange a cheap toy gun they sell there that broke, and it took that long for the guy at the customer service desk to exchange it! He was trying to fool me, but couldn't. I picked up that he was giving us the run around and told us to step aside to help another customer and someone else was coming up to help that never came, I'm assuming it was a manager but who knows with this circus over there! So after all of that unnecessary waiting around, he comes back, not any other manager or person, and says that they can exchange one time as a courtesy but states that they are giving it to us the way it's being given to them, without a cheap accessory attachment and out of the box! Well we said ok (weren't really given any other choice!) and took the resplacement. Very rude, unfriendly and uncouth individual!! He should not be dealing with the customers who are the MAIN REASON he gets paid by the way!!! One last comment- refused to give me any paper trail/receipt after demanding to need my ID to complete the exchange/return!!! Moral of this long drawn out review, avoid this Meijer at all costs!! read more

This is the worst grocery store in the area. The only reason it deserves 1-star is that it is convenient to have groceries and a large selection of other items in one store. It is rare that the entire produce and meat department doesn't smell like rancid meat. I have, in fact, gotten bad meat from there. I have seen lots of moldy produce as well. The reason I've bothered to write this review is that I just opened a gallon of milk (with an expiration date 1 month from now) that is totally spoiled. It's the final straw...I will not be going back to this Meijer. With so many grocery stores in the area it is a wonder this Meijer is still open. I'd rank the local stores in this order. Meijer is one of my go-to stores in the area. They have a good amount of organic groceries (including their house Simple Goodness line), a broad selection within every category of food items otherwise, and plenty of everything else. They carry an extensive selection (including Boar's Head) of products in the deli, the hot/prepared food section is decent, and the bakery is on par with most grocery stores. They have clothing, pet supplies, lawn & garden needs, automotive goods, and there's even a barber shop and US Bank inside that's open later than the other branches. I'm SO unlucky that this is my local grocery store because this place is horrible. The actual products in the store are definitely up to par, it's the customer service that is severely lacking. There is always only two registers opened and thus there is always a LONG wait for check out. A lot of employees just stand around and talk when they could be opening up new lines and servicing customers, which is very frustrating to watch. I hate doing self check out because I'm not the most tech savvy person in the world and it would be faster for an employee to ring me up. Today however, I figured I'd just try the self check out. The self check out didn't work. The machine did not accept my card and the employee overseeing self check out directed me to customer service to complete my purchase where I had to wait in yet another line. After waiting in the customer service line for 5 additional minutes, I was eventually helped. The person checking me out informed me that most of the self check out kiosks do not take people's credit or debit cards, they don't properly scan items, or they just don't work. The person checking me out directed another employee to go fix it but he just brushed it off and kept talking to the other employee next to him. Meijers needs to get someone to fix the self checkout and stop holding customers hostage in long lines! Have more employees open lines to service customers! It is not acceptable that MOST of my time spent in the store is waiting in line. read more
