This Marshall's is located conveniently off Hicksville Road and not too far from the 135 and Southern State. This parking lot can be crazy so to be safe it might be better to park a little further if you can. This Marshall's has a great selection of women's, men's, shoes, home, kids and pet. Of course it can be hit or miss on what you're looking for but I do usually like the selection here. It can be busy and the line can be long so give yourself extra time. read more

This Marshall's store has never had enough cashiers to respect the time of its customers - this is the 2nd time I've left the store this week when seeing the line wrapping around all the way back into the stores west side. For an extra 2 cashiers it could be an enjoyable store. This store is so poorly run that I literally dread any time I have to go there. The lines, no matter what day or time, are RIDICULOUS. Basically, it's like Christmas Eve 1996. The lines snake through the store. And there's no separate return line, so if all you need to do is make a return, you are totally screwed. I'm writing this right outside the store - my 3rd attempt to make a return and not doing it. For crissake! Make a separate return line, add some self-checkout lines, and hire more people. Welcome to Matzopizza, Long GUYLAND. Cars everywhere. Fight the soccer moms with giant SUVs in the parking lot and you may be rewarded with some low priced finds inside. There is parking on the side of the building that is significantly less stressful and your urge to slash some tires will totally subside. This location is usually organized but you all know how Marshalls works. After Christmas and end of season time it's a mucking fess inside with everything strewn about. Their ladies section and selection of health food is great, homegoods okay and Mens is slim pickings. Get your discount workout wear, fancy foods and 'hashtag basic' wooden signs with the "I love you to Uranus and back" crap and make like a baby and head out of there! Just note there is ALWAYS A LONG CHECKOUT LINE. What about 'hire more cashiers, your customers are fed up?' don't they understand? If I end up with just one item in hand, I usually walk out due to the wait not being worth my time. Sorry, a little impatient here. read more

I'm going to tell it like it is: this Marhall's is pretty damn awful. I love discount department stores, so don't get me wrong; I don't expect artful displays of merchandise here. What truly depresses me is that there is so little care with the way things are *placed* and treated. Why am I picking up what might be a cool Halloween decoration that was obviously thrown somewhere like it was trash and is now chipped so no one will want it? (Save for the island of Misfit decorations...or landfill). It seems like it's almost deliberate the way things are tossed all helter skelter on the shelves. I've never felt sorry for so many inanimate objects before. What saves it from being one star is that I was able to find my favorite Yankee Candle Halloween scent (Perfect Purrrchouli) for 40 percent off the tag price. And yes, it was buried beneath a bunch of tangled and broken Halloween decorations that no one will ever buy. If you are prone to feeling like this planet is doomed due to all the mass-produced crap made in China, you'd do best to avoid. read more

I love the TJX line of stores. Unfortunately, this Marshall's is completely underwhelming on several fronts: 1. The staff here is rude. 2. Every time I check out here, I need to wait on line for 15 minutes--some times it takes 15 minutes until I can even SEE the registers. 3. The merchandise selection is okay, but, beware! I once was looking through luggage and found a bag that had been completely destroyed and still had the previous buyer's information in the luggage tag. I thought that selling this at full price was a bit much. 4. The merchandise always seems to be dusty. read more

Department store for those who don't like department stores. I'm not sure if you can truly call this a department store - it does have some departments but nowhere along the lines of Macy's. Marshall's seems to specialize in close-out items and such - you can score some great deals provided they have what you are looking for - it is kind of like an upscale bazaar - you never know what you will find here but if it is something you can use, the price is usually decent. Pretty typical of most Marshalls, messy and disorganized but you can get good deals. They don't seem to have as much as some other Marshalls and it is very illogically organized and you have to park far away. Since I didn't receive a response to my customer service inquiry via the website, I'm posting our experience on Yelp: My mother received a Christmas gift, an Aeropostale gift set with lotion & candles, which she didn't want. It had a pulled off Marshall's tag/barcode. On 12/23, we went to Marshall's to return it. After standing on line, she was denied the return, telling her to go find the exact item, she found something similar (Aeropostale) but was denied, as it wasn't exactly the same...& to boot, we were told if we did find it, we had to wait online again & by this time, the line was double in length, so we left. Guess what? We tried another Marshall's, this time in rockland county NY & they took the time/effort to look up the barcode & return it! Now THATS customer service. Shame on Marshall's in Massapequa for their crappy customer service. Why was another Marshall's able AND willing to do the return? This is how you treat customers who have been shopping there for as long as the store has been open? Pitiful. Edit; see the response I received... Marshalls is a great place to shop! One of my favorite things about Marshalls is that everything is cheap! When I say everything, I mean EVERYTHING. The other day, I needed a men's white t-shirt with some kind of design on it. I found a nice one at Marshalls for only $12.00 (not including tax)! The only thing that I don't like about Marshalls are some/most of the employees who work there. A lot of the employees never seem happy, unfortunately. Not sure why, but they should. Maybe that's why it's rarely crowded there. Besides that, it's still a great place to shop! I would recommend (not highly recommend) for people to shop there. read more

After stopping at this particular Marshall's a couple times, I have to say I am disappointed. First off, the parking is always a disaster. I don't know what it is about that parking lot, but it feels like there are never any spaces open. Doesn't matter what day it is or what time - you are going to drive up and down the rows for a little bit to find a space. Then, let's talk about this Marshall's. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to the layout. Things that seem like they should be next to each other are instead across the store (why aren't tights and things next to lingerie items?). And even within sections, the organization doesn't make any sense (glasses two aisles over from cookware, with random things in between? sure!). On a recent trip, I was desperately trying to find teas for a small present. In an effort to tempt people on their way down the checkout line, they had placed ALL the teas behind this divider. So I kept wandering through housewares, digging around, scrounged up two sad looking boxes, and then found the teas once I had already given up and gone to checkout. What the heck?! The best thing I have to say about this store is that I found two pieces of my Calphalon cookware set for less than half the price at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. Snatched those up immediately. read more

I love their show department at this location & bought really hot black platform sandals that are incredibly comfortable & a really pretty new duvet cover for my down comforter both priced at a reasonable price of $29.99 for name brand stuff!! Can't beat that! I also found an IPhone 5 Otterbox case for $14.99 while waiting on line at the cash register. Hell yeah!! read more

What's not to love about Marshall's? Amazing prices, name brands and a big selection of products. Whenever I walk in the store I never know what I'm going to find. This is the kind of place where you cannot walk in with something specific in mind. If that's the case you may be a bit disappointed. For the most part, this location in particular is pretty organized from my experience. It may not have as much variety as the bigger stores but they do replenish frequently. When you do find the deal you've been waiting for, it's well worth the sifting and searching through the clothes. For example: I got a Calvin Klein pencil skirt for work for $18. I absolutely love it and it was a bargain. They have a really great selection of baby and toddler clothes. Or they have small accessories too (perfect for baby showers and things like that.) Wish the shoe selection was a bit bigger but overall this place is awesome. I come here often and find something for every occasion. Staff is super friendly too and helpful. read more

I visited this location today to do a return after spending about $700 at the Jericho store and I am disgusted. I even called and canceled my card. The Jamaican woman calling herself the manager, but refused to give me her name, acted so inappropriately during my return with a receipt which she initially refused to do, really upset me. Apparently the earlier manager changed the tag on my item as she was walking out, for restocking purposes! The person I dealt with was on her cellphone with earbuds, and not paying attention so on 1st glance the barcode was different and they argued with me for 20min before they realized their error. I even called the Jericho store and they refused to get on the phone. Jericho called them and all they said was "oh I see"! I was late picking up my kids from religion and you would think that an apology came,..... but, No It Did Not! Drive elsewhere if you can! Apparently they only like shoplifters and fraud transactions or else you get treated like garbage!! read more

Been going to this marshalls for years.. i feel like it has gotten better over years with the updated marketing and updated store layout and dressing room.. i always find some of the best finds here because of the area i feel. I agree with the other yelper though, this parking lot is a disaster nd the layout is horrible you can ndver find parking.. im not sure why cant pin point it.. staff has gotten ruder the past few years and the lines are extremely long.. i understand because i work in retail and they might not have enough hours to put on proper amount of cashiers but this store defidently generates good money! Ok. One of the better Marshalls. Yes,the place does get messy, but it's the customers creating this mess more than the lack of tidying up. Yes, the lines are long, but this is mostly due to lots of customers on line and not the slowness of the cashiers. Most times I do very well bargain hunting. It's a hit or miss with this place. Sometimes you can find great things for low prices, sometimes you can't find anything. Usually, however, it's a hit. Check out the home furnishings- we even bought a suitcase! The store itself is somewhat messy, which is to be expected with this type of place. It must be hard to take inventory! If I could give no stars I would. The staff in one word: AWFUL. I have had nothing but problems with the staff being rude and unhelpful. I have already written a letter to the corporate office detailing my experiences but felt as though I should make a more public review. On top of the staff being terrible, the store is messy and unorganized. Which probably goes back to the staff and management. Good place to go to get a good deal if you feel like digging through mess and getting no help what so ever. Just go in look, pay and leave. If you have an issue with an item or a price don't even bother trying to resolve it. You will be mocked and spoken down to. read more
