Marshalls is gone, but sometimes twice very messy sometimes it's very dirty too because the kids make a mess too

Definitely my favorite Marshall's, I'm not sure why the low reviews, but I love coming to this specific location because it tends to be a lot more spacious than others, it does get messy, and if you go at peak hours, I'm sure it's hard to navigate, but I enjoy coming to this location. The have a large variety of home good and the prices are decent. Would recommend, but it's a little drive out from my part of queens read more

Place is very busy. But it's cleaner than most locations. They love hiring staff who can take on pressure. Parking lot is not bad at all compared to Westbury or Elmont. It's a quick place to go to if you need clothes. read more

I didn't give 5 stars due to the lack of customer service on the floor. Besides that, this Marshalls is a good store. They have everything from kitchen supplies, room furniture and decorations, living room things etc. The prices are decent and there are a few clearance racks that have name brand items for cheap. There's a restroom and a huge fitting room to accommodate you. I hate the fact that Marshalls doesn't have coupons but I guess it balances out with the inexpensive prices. The lines are a bit long both times that I went but they move fairly quickly. I'll recommend this store read more

I don't do a tone of shopping here outside the kids section, so my review will mainly be about that. The kids section (primarily the toys and books area, but sometimes the clothing area too) is awesome. I have found so many amazing name brand toys in excellent brand new condition at unbeatable prices. Don't be afraid to google though because not everything here is a steal. sometimes Amazon has the same price, occasionally they might beat the Marshall's price. It is dangerous to let me loose I'm the kids section though! The quantity and selection of books for children, primarily younger toddlers and little ones, does not disappoint either. They also have a hefty selection of seasonal items, feeding tools and accessories for babies and toddlers and blankets. I'm a HUGE fan of the toys and books here! I am less of a fan when it comes to the often VERY long lines. That said, the line often moves swiftly. I got a nice amount of Halloween decor here as well which was surprising. My only complaint was when it was August and September and the AC was off! Can you imagine?! read more

This is my favorite Marshalls, altho they're clearance section has diminished greatly over the past 2 years. Much neater than the Freeport location, nice selection of housewares and clothing. I have bought over the years - pillows, sheets, comforters, kitchen stuff and candles galore. The line is often long (as are they all) but worth the wait if you have a ton of stuff. Using my TJX rewards card gets me a coupon every once in a while plus I use a few apps that I can rack up points and trade in for gift cards so all in all I am a savvy shopper! read more

This Marshall's location is an utter debacle and things are strewn all over the place and in complete disarray with no accurate sizing to look through on the racks. The bathroom was vile and the people who work there are far from friendly. I know December is a rough month for retail, but people should learn to crack a smile when you greet them with one and ask them how their day was when you're the paying customer. read more

This Marshalls is great... as long as you know what you're getting yourself into. The parking is plentiful as the locale is in a strip mall type of lot. You'll find a Modell's Sporting Goods Store and a supermarket as well, so if you need baseballs or apples you'll be in luck. The main reason why people don't like this place is that there is stuff everywhere. The store looks like a tornado hit it. While you're walking, don't expect to see the floor... that's where they keep a majority of their merchandise. Oh did you want help finding something... well good luck. Most of the employees there are pretending to put things where they belong while chatting with each other. Listen this is not the place to go for casual shopping. This is the kind of place you stop into when you need something specific, you think they'll have it, and you're already driving past it to go somewhere else. If that fits your criteria, then you're gonna do fine, especially since their prices are pretty damn good. read more

Wow. Just wow. The Good: Prices. But, that's the same at all Marshall's. The Bad: Everything else. 1. Tiny men's department. 2. clothes thrown everywhere. 3. lots of untagged items. 4. Painfully slow cashiers. I'm a bargain shopper. I love me my T. J. Maxx, J.C. Penney's, Filene's Basement, etc etc. However, I do NOT like to shop off the ground. I've also noticed that this seems to be a trend at most Marshall's, not just this specific location. Hey Marshall's! Just a little word of advice! Just because you have affordable clothes, doesn't mean you get to sacrifice presentation! read more

Not a bad location. Plenty of parking. Easy entrance and exit. Great prices. Selection can be a bit limited at times for average sizes. I find the store to get very cluttered at times. There is not a lot of help out on the floor. They need to also staff the registers better as I have never been in a line less than 8-10 people. read more

What a HORRIFIC experience. If I could give ZERO stars I would. I'm on the check out line at 9:05 and there's one cashier. I'm online for FIFTEEN MINUTES with no one in front of me besides the woman checking out. I roll up to the cashier and I tell her I'm very sorry, but I have to go. Can I leave my items on the counter (9:20)? She says would you like to buy them now? And I said I have to run (I had a family emergency) but I will call from my car. I called in the car (9:25, I have proof on my phone). She immediately answers and says we're closed. I say I understand closing is in five minutes, can I please put the items I left at the cashier on hold for tomorrow for opening? She repeats, we are close THREE TIMES. How inconsiderate and unprofessional. I can't wait to call corporate and complain about this. DO NOT SHOP HERE. I will NEVER shop at this location again. read more

I'm not even sure why i stopped in as I can't remember the last time I actually bought something in this location. Oh yes, I had a little bit of time to kill. I walked in and immediately went to the front left corner where the Men's Department has been for over twenty yeas when the store first opened. Sign on the wall still said Men's. Imagine my surprise when I got there and discovered that it was now the Boy's Section. I don't have a problem with change, just change the damn sign. There was a huge messy stack of boxes and totes in the middle of an aisle. NOT attractive. read more

I haven't stopped in a Marshalls in a LONG time! I didn't have too much time to shop, as I was running an errand for a shoot. I needed an inexpensive pillow and white pillowcases. I easily found what I needed and for not a lot of money. In fact, the pillow was so nice I decided to keep it! I did take a look at some of the other bric-a-brac as well as men's clothing. I actually like some of the items I saw, but nothing really stood out. Also, not a lot in my size - most everything was at least a large to XXL. The messiest, most disorganized Marshall's I've ever seen. Was looking for some decorations and so many were cracked. Nothing was in order and I could hardly walk through the clothing area it was so jam packed. Going to Oceanside from now on. read more

It's in a pretty nice location with really nice prices and that's all the good I got to say about that place. The store is a travesty just about all the time. Clothes everywhere like a high schoolers bedroom. A lot of the items aren't even tagged and also there selection isn't that big either it's a rarety that you find something your really looking for here. But, If you do manage to find what you want here prepare to be standing in line for ages cause all of the cashiers are slow as molasses. read more

I love this store! The people who work there are super friendly and helpful. From the moment I entered to the minute I walked out, and all the time in between- everyone was courteous, helpful, and went out of their way to help my family. It started when we entered and my husband couldn't figure out how to put our son, who was in his car seat, into the shopping cart. A gentleman, who might have been the manager, came over and assisted us. Then as we walked through the store, I got excited about a really cute coat that was reduced from $175 to $30 and left my jacket on a nearby chair. Fortunately for me, one of the employees found it and paged me. Mind you- I had my wallet (with all my credit cards and cash), cell phone, car keys and house keys... all very important! They were kind enough to hold it until I got there. Then finally when we were about to leave, the cashier who checked us out was so sweet to our very sleepy son. What a wonderful group of people! And all of this on Christmas Eve eve- totally made me believe in the magic of the season! Thank you!!! read more

I've never received such terrible customer service in my life!!! As I approached the fitting room I begin counting my items and said hi how are you doing to Gloria who was working in the fitting room August 25, 2018 at 7 PM. NO RESPONSE. So I figured I spoke too softly, as I was also counting in my head so I repeated myself then Gloria proceeds to say "what makes you think I didn't hear you the first time, I heard you and I don't have to respond." Maybe I should have read the reviews before shopping here because my experience was absolutely atrocious. I was on the line waiting for a cashier to open and a cashier calls me over to her register, once I reached her register she explains to me that she's just opening so I stand there while she counts the money. At the same time I'm seeing everyone behind me head to cashiers and being able to walk out before me. After about 10 minutes she begins ringing my items up and the last item didn't have a price on it. She stated that she would have to call for a price check, I said no problem. After the clerk took a while longer than she expected she then told me that I HAVE to pay my $200 purchase now and step to the side because there is a line. I said I'm sorry, what was that. I'm being punished because the tag isn't on there, which is not my job. She became so irate with me not complying to what she said I HAD to do. Shouldn't you tend to me and make sure that I'm more than satisfied with my shopping experience? She began yelling and became so disrespectful, even her coworker were trying to calm her down. I'm disgusted and I will NEVER EVER be shopping here again. The cashiers name is Melanie and the mangers name is Karen who apologized for her behavior and said she will handle the situation which I highly doubt so I will be sharing my experience with every outlet as well as contacting corporate. I've never had horrible customer service at Marshall's and they need to be aware of who they hire. They must know that this lady does not in any way represent them well. read more

I went to this location this evening. The staff working there was nonexistent or perhaps hiding somewhere behind the scenes because I couldn't find anyone to help me with a question on a certain item. There was one woman manning the registers and there was another person somewhere else announcing that they were closing in minutes. There were several people ahead of me with transactions to do and the woman who was operating the register was moving at a snails pace with no sense of urgency at all. The store looked like a hurricane had come through...things were tossed everywhere, it was a mess. I understand that it's the nearing the end of their day but the store should look presentable no matter what time of day it is. I tried to wait patiently on line telling me that the several items I was buying were worth it but after over 15 minutes I could no longer wait and left my items behind since the line wasn't moving and the person announcing the closing should have been up front helping ring people out. Instead they lost my business and I went to Target across the parking lot and found even cuter things there that I bought...with actual cashiers at the register. Freeport Marshalls needs focus on their customer service more. They lost this customer. read more

I want to start out by saying that this is the first review I have ever written. That being said I'm writing this review because I've lived in the area for many years. I have always visited this location and was able to find nice things. During the off peak season it is relatively presentable, any other time I find it to be quite disheveled. In recent years I've found that the selection of name brand prices for less has been less and less compared to other Marshalls stores in the long Island area. When it comes to service I have never found this store to be top notch as far as that aspect. Lines are common place and they always seem to be short staffed. My experience this evening was less than average. There were 2 registers open yet 4 people behind the counter. I was third in line and the two in front of me apparently had been waiting a while before I joined the line. The lady in front loudly asked if there was anyone else who could help to which noone responded. When she was finally called she was rather annoyed and told the associate that she had been waiting a long time. The associate responded by saying "What does that have to do with me?" What made it worse is that when things started to escalate none of the other workers thought there was anything wrong with the response. All it would have taken was an acknowledgement of her concern and thanking her for waiting. One of the workers went as far as to say he checked how long she was waiting and advised it was only 7 minutes. I think it was longer to be honest. In a nutshell, I will be shopping elsewhere. If I add another 3 minutes to that 7+ minutes waiting in line I can make it to the mall and get service with a smile maybe at a slightly higher cost but that's ok. I do not want to shop anywhere where I as a person, my money and my time is not valued. These associates need a class in customer service. There is never an excuse to get smart with a customer. That display of unprofessionalism I think is the last straw for me. So long Marshalls Freeport. I'm sure you won't miss my business. read more

This Marshall store has one great downfall--Registers. You can wait there for 20 to 40 minutes on line. The cashiers are slow and not enough. Does not matter what day or time you visit this store, its always horrible when you have to pay. Many a time I have just left my merchandise and left the store. I live 10 minutes away from this store but prefer to go 30 minutes away to Oceanside or Carle Place to shop. Can't stand the wait. read more
