I haven't been here in over a year decided to stop in going to the movies and wanted a couple of snacks. Now they have self check out but everything else is the same. My friend said "it's a container store" but from the outside it looked to me more like a 99 cent store. After I entered I'm still unsure. All I know is you can get tons of trinkets here for well below five....of course. This store is in green acres shopping center next to the ulta. The parking is spacious and the new section of the green acres mall is really nice. This store is pretty spacious and has a lot of selection. I do like the New Hyde Park location better, but this location is pretty good as well. They have a selection of home decor, seasonal items, toys, party supplies, candy, clothes and more. The service was decent. People social distanced and everyone had masks on. I would return but I prefer the New Hyde Park location better. read more

This store is terrible. I keep trying but every time it's something else. They have new self checkouts but won't let you actually check yourself out because they want to answer the survey for you so they get the best ratings. That's completely ridiculous. With the name of this store being "5 below" I legit thought it was an ice cream or some cold dessert place. But when I walked by I saw bins of stuff outside marked "$5". Of course this excited me, stuff I don't need? For only $5? Yes please. This store is literally $5 and under. For a small store it has a huge variety of stuff. I bought a top matte coat of nail polish here and I now worship this thing. It really works and it was like 2 for $5 (it sells for like $12 online by itself). There is a DIY section and a whole bunch of arts and crafts stuff. The teacher side of me went crazy, lots of little knick knacks my kids could use. Swing in, see what stuff you gravitate towards, I promise you there'll be something you end up getting (even if you don't need it). read more

Situated in the newer section of Green Acres. I prefer this location over the one at Gateway Center in Brooklyn. This location is more spacious and I haven't found opened and damaged items the way I do at the other location. There can be lines here depending on when you go but it seems less crowded during those times when everyone has their kids at home ready for dinner. Plan accordingly lol. Everything is affordable but not a necessity which makes it bad because you'll buy things you don't need. They have things for room decor/storage and phone cases which are actually really durable for the price you pay. I'm an avid Amazon shopper but there are things you can find here for cheap that you wouldn't find on amazon (ie the phone cases) Also if you have a sweet tooth, the candy selection is pretty cool. Its a nice place for all sorts of knick knacks. They also have nice seasonal items as well. Highly recommended if you're a teacher or throwing a party or, you just like cute stuff. read more

Store is well stocked and nice selection of everything from sports goods, toys, beauty products. My review is for the male manager at the store who is arrogant and rude. Nice girl cashier makes up for the bad service. This is one of those businesses that I won't bother to support anymore just because of the manager's attitude!! read more

Every time I buy here, the workers at the self checkout barge in to press 5 star review / great service right before I take out my card from the card scanner. They don't even ask for us to rate it, they run in and do it themselves every time. read more

She called the next person online and when i got to the register she walked away and acted like she was doing something without even telling me anything so the cashier next to her called next and i went to her line and she looked confused, i told my fiancé i don't know what that lady was doing and Sharon instantly took offense and started talking very disrespectful to me and about me to her customer,so i asked her what was her name and she wouldn't tell me her name so then i asked the other cashier and she acted like she didn't know her " manager" name and then she started to be rude as well and then went back to the back of the store and got another woman who i assume was security and she gave me the store manager number and that's how i got Sharon's name read more

First off I'm glad that they have a five below here in the green acres area. however these people that work here are so rude and never can even offer you any help. The lines in five below are always long with 1 cashier present. Sometimes hey may have two cashiers but that's not enough. People fill up they cart and you have a whole line from the front to the back. That to me do not make any type of sense. I think they need to rehire new people and teach them how to engage with customers better. HIRE NEW CASHIERS WE NEED MORE THAN ON the registers. read more

Staff is rude, very selective on who they greet when they walk into the store! I wasn't greeted or asked if I needed help while others were asked! When I got to the register, all my belongings were jammed into one bag when clearly It needed two, and the glass items were totally not even handled with care!
