My daughter was on the hunt for squishies and she was so happy to finally find the big butter squishy! This location has quite a variety of toys, books, home items, and almost anything else you can imagine. I ended up getting a couple of things for the kitchen as well as some more colored pencils for the kids. The price for the items are good! Normally my wife shops discount stores and I wait outside. After 46 years in retail I find nothing but fault with these stores. Today I went in to this Amazing Savings with her and I must say it truly is appropriately named. The store is large and spotless. The shelves are all full with neatly stocked merchandise. The aisles are constantly swept clean by a gentleman, and they are fully eight feet wide. Store is brilliantly lighted and features helpful employees who bring you to the item you are looking for. I thought the employee was having a bad day but went back 3 times and every employee was rude and unhelpful, some go as far as sending you to a different isle when asking for an item. Prices are no great price as well. read more

Finally had a chance to check this place out in the Plainview Centre Mall. Every time I'm here on a Saturday, it's never open. However, starting Nov 7th - end of Jan, the store will be open Saturdays 6PM-10PM. Store has a variety of things that they sell, went up and down the aisles - from cleaning products, kitchen supplies - includes glassware, plates, utensils, cutting boards, the works, discounted price for the most part, toys for kids, party supplies, and other stuff. Cool that they are open on Saturday for the holiday season. Don't forget, the plastic bag ban is in effect...you can purchase their re-usable bag- medium or large if you forgot to bring your own. The store has an excellent variety of paper goods , beautiful plates for parties and disposable table coverings. Many household items to choose from. But as many have previously noted, the staff is rude and unhelpful. It appears to be a common problem throughout the store . But worth the visit if you can get beyond the attitudes. read more

Terrible store! BEWARE. Run far away! Extremely rude and will never return to this store. The manager (or maybe owner?) was extremely rude to my mother who opened a box of an item in her cart that she was purchasing and he yelled at her saying "next time we don't open boxes in the store. We wait for them to open at the register". She was buying the item which is why she opened the box to look at it and she still bought it even after he scolded her. What a horrible person. I have been to Amazing savings a few times, for their fair pricing and merchandise. It's a family friendly and neighborhood "target". However today I experienced insult and even threatening act from the staff. I borrowed the key to the bathroom. Shortly after my son and I used the bathroom, we went to check out at the register. The key to the bathroom has a huge wooden block attached to it. When I was at the check out line, I put the bathroom key with the wooden block on the register first, since I have pushed the shopping cart and my son was with me. Then I was about to load other merchandise, and immediately the lady at the register was like, miss! When you are finish return the key to register 7. Her tone is very unpleasant and there were no "please" or "thanks". I understand that you are asking me to return the key, but be nice when you speak to your customer. So I was not feeling comfortable thinking in my head, and I said, would you please be considerate? I have only two hands. I put it down first because I have my son with me and the shopping cart. Immediately I heard her yelling, your son is your problem, not ours, etc. as I was unloading more merchandise from my cart to the register. I was thinking this is really unacceptable, so I took the key and threw it back to the register again and took my son away and said forget it , I am never shopping here again. As I was trying to leave. The lady stopped me and touched my arm as if she was trying to stop me from leaving, saying, hey you can't do that ! I stormed out with my son and my son almost cried because he was scared of the situation. Shame on the customer service reps and cashiers, this is a family store, I should not have been yelled at and threatened or even touched. This is how you treat your neighborhood family shoppers? SHAME ON YOU! read more

The savings here are legitimately amazing. Every price I looked at was considerably lower than I would have expected. And the selection is pretty solid. Great place to pick up random crap that you probably don't need. I'm glad it's here. My only issue aside from the people in the store (this persisting trend of driving your cart in the middle of the aisle and moving as slow as possible is frustrating) was that they had ladders all over the store, presumably for item stocking. The traffic was crazy because of them and they were everywhere. If you want cheap toys, 100 types of tongs, or other reasonably-priced nonsense, this is your place. Just don't ask anyone about their weekend hours, as someone may jump down your throat pretty quickly. read more

I went there tonight, for the first time, 5 days before Christmas, to hopefully find toy gifts for my young nieces & nephew, with the mindset "what will they have left?!" WELL I WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED.!! They had SOO MUCH to choose from.!! AND the prices phenomenal.!! I was in Amazing Savings of Plainview with my grandchildren one is 14 and the other is 6 and the owner rudely said we had to leave because no one under 16 was allowed. I want to know why? Both had on masks and gloves and they sell toys! I shopped there many times and never had this happen well they loss my business and my friends who have children business! So exciting to go to the new location on a Saturday night after stocking up at Trader Joe down the block. This new store is huge, clean and with wide aisles. Packed with customers as it's only open 6-10 pm on Saturdays. Got everything I need and more -- alum tins, gift bags, cups, garbage bags, etc. Will return after Xmas when all the holiday items are 75% off. A lot nicer than the Flushing location where everything is crammed in, aisles are narrow and you have to find street parking. read more

First time customer, was impressed by their wide selection of items and name brands. I was able to get a jump on my Christmas shopping for children's toys with better pricing than you would find in the big box stores. I did find the staff to be on the quiet side, not greeting you at the register, but overall it was a good experience and I will definitely shop there again soon. read more

I had to leave the items but initially thought I'd come back. I like to give management a chance to fix what's wrong, so on the way out I approached a manager.
