I worked at the LA Fitness in there years ago and I loved it. I do like that there are a few places to eat in there, so you can take a break from shopping and grab a bit. The one thing I don't like about it, is that there is an area that gets flooded badly. It's not at an entrance, luckily, but it's still not good. Gone are the times of having to navigate through a sea of people and still bumping into someone by mistake. I can literally count the number of people in the mall today by hand. Since this one is in Long Island, everything is seamless when checking out. Both IKEA locations still got the same type of products. This Broadway mall also has a movie theater where you can catch a late night movie after shopping and eating so that's a plus! Movies inside a mall is a must for me!

I ended up buying a really nice purse here that you can tell was a legit return and not some knockoff piece. I saw lots of people buying clothes although nothing really stood out to me in that department. The staff is exceptionally friendly. They are thankful you are there and purchasing. As it's the soft opening they also have an additional 20% off taking place on all items and are giving out free snacks in the front. The only paid point here is the parking lot. It wraps around the back which is helpful but it's not nearly enough parking for the amount of customers they seem to be getting.

Now stands The Airport plaza. When I visit and shop here, I can't help but envision the huge factories, that once towered over this area. This unenclosed strip mall is a great family destination complete with Applebee's to watch the game as your wife shops in the Bed Bath & Beyond. This shopping plaza is located right next to the Farmingdale Airport, you will see planes flying very low over the parking lot. You can sit in the car with the kids and watch the planes take off and land. Park near the Movie Theater as there are some trees for shade. Parking here is free. This is not to be taken for granted if you live in Queens. I like stopping and shopping here again it's best to come at times when it is not crowded weekends in the summer the place is packed.
