The Roosevelt Field mall is massive, clean, well-mapped, and perfect for a group challenge and a long day of exploring. I covered every square in of this place- from the North and South wings to the East and West wings, alone!! Company would have been nice! I love the huge food court, and it does wonders for every palate. So many stores; Bloomingdales, JC Penny, Macy's and several other small clothing stores provided slim opportunities and did not fulfill my needs. One would think that they can find any and everything at a mall, right? Not in my case. Had I been looking for something simple, I may have not spent hours inside of Roosevelt Field mall and I would have stopped at one store. Not to be misunderstood, Roosevelt Field mall is an ideal place to look for excellent finds and thousands of people score with what they are looking for and what they are not looking for. For me, it was a no hitter this time, but I did see awesome sales with great value for the dollar. I won't count them out; I will come on another day when I am just browsing. They even have outdoor games like checkers, chess, and ping-pong tables, making it a nice place to spend some time beyond shopping. As of July, stores include Valentino, AllSaints, Tumi, Thom Browne, Lululemon, The North Face, Zadig & Voltaire, and more. Every employee we spoke with was genuinely friendly and seemed happy to be there. Even the security guards smiled as we walked by. If you're looking for a nice, leisurely stroll while browsing luxury brands in a relaxed atmosphere, this is a great place to visit. No more going to shop for your Easter clothes, Christmas presents or that last minute birthday gift that you forgot. Remember getting the family Christmas photo with Santa? I used to shop for my club clothes in the mall, but we won't talk about those selections. Oak Tree! Gone are the times of having to navigate through a sea of people and still bumping into someone by mistake. I can literally count the number of people in the mall today by hand. Keep in mind this is 2:00 in the afternoon on a Saturday. Should be prime time Clearly this isn't this Mall's fault. The slow death of America's malls have been happening across the country for years. This is just another victim. This IKEA is really good when it comes to security compared to the one in Brooklyn where you got security checking everyone's receipts to see if you stole anything. Since this one is in Long Island, everything is seamless when checking out. Both IKEA locations still got the same type of products. This Broadway mall also has a movie theater where you can catch a late night movie after shopping and eating so that's a plus! Movies inside a mall is a must for me!
