1 - Ordered a "new" transmitter (Dogtra) to replace my lost one on 11APR23 and received the order on 14APR23. 2 - The "new" transmitter was not in original packing and only placed into a manila bubble wrap envelope with a packing list. 3 - The "new" transmitter was defective upon receipt (the second/middle digit that indicates power levels did not work). 4 - Called FactoryOutletStore.com (FOS) to request a new transmitter and was told they could NOT send a new one until the old was received by them first. So... Due to THEIR error (shipping a questionably "new" item that didn't work correctly), I was now going to be forced to be without a transmitter until they get the old one back. 5 - I asked for them to ship new one while I kept the old one. Upon receipt of properly operating transmitter, I would return their defective one (in order to maintain training for my me and my dog). NOPE! Their "process" won't allow them to ship me a properly working item while I still kept the one they sent earlier, unless... I pay for a new one FIRST! In other words... I have to literally pay for their mistake. 6 - They had all my payment information (and could have charged me if I decided to keep the inoperative transmitter (Why I would do that, I have NO idea.) and they were going to send a return shipment label for the broken one (so they had the means to track the return)... NOPE! 7 - I went from the guy that answers the 800 number to "Scarlett" (that sounded more Hindi than American) in "escalations" to "Jane" (Scarlett's Hindi neighbor) and still got nowhere. 8 - Their business practices are simply wrong. If you ship someone a POS item, then you need to make it right. I will NEVER do business with these people and I cannot recommend them for ANYONE - unless you like getting screwed over. I purchased a charger for a Norelco electric shaver, along with a three-year protection plan, thinking that the protection plan would cover the charger for incidental damage, which the manufacturer's warranty normally does not cover. The protection plans are sold by a company named New Leaf Service Contracts, Inc. that's based in Irving, TX. You don't find out, until after you have already purchased the protection plan, that it only covers manufacturing defects and not incidental damage. Seriously?! This is 2023. No one sells protection plans that only extend the manufacturer's warranty, because everyone knows those are a rip-off. Any manufacturing defects in a product, especially an electronic product, are going to manifest themselves within the first year of operation. What's more, I was told that the protection plan only covered the shaver itself, not the charger. Even when I told them that I had purchased the protection plan for the charger and that the charger was a replacement for the one that came with the electric shaver when I had bought it a few years ago, they still refused to budge. I placed an order for two Samsung Galaxy Note 3 batteries and the following day I did not receive any notification that they were shipped. I then waited another 3 days and still no shipping notification. Wondering if they when they plan on shipping the batteries, I went on their website: FactoryOutletStore.com and had a chat with one of their customer service reps and she told me that they will have them shipped out today, which was four days after I placed the order. The following week goes by and all I got was a tracking number that cannot be traced. On Tuesday (9 days after the order) I was able to see that the order was received at my local post office, however, it was pending. Not until Monday (15 days after the order) was I able to see the package was delivered to my local post office at 1:47 am and out of delivery at 7:10 am. Two weeks to deliver the batteries from New York is too long. And if I had not contacted the Factory Outlet Store it surly would have taken longer. Now the batteries. They arrived in just a plastic bag, not a retail box of any kind. Furthermore, the plastic bags were not even sealed, they just placed them in there. Factory Outlet Store on line purports to represent and sell products of a wide range. Our one and only order from FOS was for a beauty rest mattress and box spring which were delivered and set up appropriately along with removal of our old set on April 22. Shortly after, we decided we did not like the product and within the 30 to 120 day period set out by Beautyrest we notified FOS of our intention to return the products. Here is where all the trouble began!! They are obviously more interested in selling products than helping with such issues as the return process. They notified us that since this was now during Covid 19 times there were no means to return the products as set out by the shipping company, and we could either keep it or "destroy it". We had been waiting to order another mattress and box spring and therefore needed removal before we could order another set. We contacted FOS MANY times and were told by Andy and Gary, the sales reps for FOS (in broken and sometimes unintelligible English), that there was nothing they could do because no return was possible and they would pass this on to their supervisors who would then call me back. Even though this request was made many times, I never received a call back, and the same issue continued up to the day of this writing. We would never destroy the products without a release from the company of sale. We had sent three times the copies of the federal tags on the products as requested by Gary and Andy but they claimed they never received these. We were then told to send the tags directly to Beautyrest and we did so by certified mail return receipt requested. It has been 2 weeks and still no return receipt. If one takes the time to read about this company on Better Business Bureau site there are many complaints about this company especially relating to returns (surprise!) The bottom line is that there are many companies out there, and this one is the prime example, whose main efforts are in the sale and no effort in follow up or service. Caveat Emptor!! Buyer beware!! Greetings, I think it is fair to say that all companies have their strengths and weaknesses. If you know what the expectations are in the front end you will have to be accountable for the results. This company buys and sells in volume and that is why they can pass on savings to us as consumers. So with the advantageous price comes along other areas that get effected like delivery time and the ability to return a product with a processing fee.
