I have come here a few times to purchase some Venison. This is a very cool place. They have exotic meats that you would never think you can buy.... Think Kangaroo! It's bright and cheerful, with a knowledgeable staff. Most of their food is frozen so you need to buy it the day before you want to eat it to thaw. For a meat eater this is a must go to place. The venison chops are amazing. Now, this is expensive....but I'm sure you will not find another local place that has such cool variety. Check it out. I WILL be back. read more

I was searching for a reliable butcher in the area so i was excited when Wild fork announced they will open a location in plainview. I'm beyond impressed! This place is a meat and seafood lover's dream. The selection is incredible from wagyu to skirt steak to porterhouses etc. This place is a carnivore dieter's dream. Everything is blast-frozen, so it's always fresh and ready to cook. They also have great seafood including crab cakes, crab legs, lobster, and scallops. This place has become my go to when I have a BBQ at the house. I also use the steaks to cook meals for the week. Prices are surprisingly competitive for the premium quality, and I love that they offer pre-seasoned options for quick meals. Already planning my trip to this market. Im thrilled to have bought meat from here after only being able to go to Florida locations. We bought elk, rabbit and shrimp and were happy with all three. The rabbit was fantastic, the elk was well cut and stored and the shrimp was super fresh. The service in here is phenomenal! I felt welcome the moment I set foot inside. They have all types of meats and fish that are frozen. No annoying isles to have to go up and down, everything is there in one large room. Checkout process was nice and simple. A lot of the meats that I did want were out of stock. My friend and I headed out to visit this wonderful store after she told me what they're about. First of all, Wild Fork has great staff like Judy and Jeff. They were very helpful and assisted us to pick out the best meat possible. They're friendly! Stop by and say hello! Meats are frozen and they have a great variety from chicken wings to fish to wagyu ribeye. You can even find a whole pig. Prices can rang from being quite affordable to being quite expensive if you grab the wagyu! Even though the meat is frozen, once it's thawed and you cook it up, you'll realize the meat is fresh. Are you feeling adventurous? Don't worry, they have different cuts of meats from different species! Lamb, bison, kangaroo, rabbit.. I'm not as adventurous so I can not review on that. I loved it very much and even went back again to buy more with my family. Yes, the first purchase was for me! I think I'll use Wild Fork to purchase my meats for meal prep. They even have pre-seasoned chicken/pork/beef for tacos which I found to be quite tasty. Keep in mind for the sodium content, however. They also had a section for quick meals, appetizers, even desserts! I can't wait to try those. I really love how this store is clean. It looks clean and it is clean. They have shopping carts if you enter the store and look to the right. They sell fire starters and insulated totes. I didn't purchase the totes because I have an unhealthy obsession with Trader Joe's insulated bags and have possibly collected every single one they sell. Don't have a bag? Not a problem. They have paper bags which you can reuse! I'll be visiting Wild Fork on a weekly basis to purchase my meats and fish. I found that for its freshness, I'm paying about the same price at Costco or the other grocery stores I visit. My wife and I found this recently opened meat market in our neighborhood and we decided to give it a try. My first purchase was their chicken pot pie. From time to time I will buy a name brand chicken pot pie for a quick and easy to cook meal for lunch or dinner. Then my wife discovered they sell Berkshire pork which she is familiar with. When we dine in a restaurant that serves Berkshire pork she always orders a pork chop. Then I wanted to try their chopped meat so I bought 2- 1 pound packages of their 85% lean organic chopped meat. Now for my review: 1-The chicken pot pie was the best I ever had. 14 ounces of what usually comes in a typical pot pie but much better. Good size pieces of white meat chicken with plenty of veggies and just enough gravy to get the job done. I did not finish that meal so I had enough left over for a light lunch the next day. 2- We have never found Berkshire pork available anywhere other then in a few upscale, high-end, restaurants we frequent from time to time. We bought 2 pork chops and they were every bit as good as the restaurant chops. 3- The organic chop meat was as good as it gets. I love a good hamburger. Very often I order a hamburger in lieu of a steak and the hamburger my wife made me last night was delicious. Make that exceptional! We are lucky having a store so close to our home but their primary sales is done via internet mail order. Just go to wildfork.com and explore. Their prices are very reasonable considering how good their products are. The 14 ounce pot pie was $14. The chopped meat was $5.50 a pound and worth every penny. Next time I'll try the 90% lean which they were out of. I don't remember the price of the pork but whatever we paid it was less expensive then the restaurants we frequent...that is for sure. The store has everything I need from Bison ,rabbit, fish and there great service. Judy is the best. Judy walks with me up and down each aisle to tell me the difference on each cut. Judy has been 100% on target. The store is beautiful and easy to navigate, Great job with the service and selection of products. This is the only place I will shop for my meats and fish. First and foremost, The customer service and ambiance at Wild Fork Plainview was Phenomenal. The staff are very welcoming and the store was very clean and well organized. This was my first time shopping at Wild Fork and I didn't know what to expect. I wanted something new to make since I was hosting my friends and family for dinner and wasn't quite sure what to make, when I was welcomed by this gentlemen named JJ. He was very patient and helped me pick out the perfect meal that everyone loved! He suggested I get the Chimichurri Seasoned Skirt Steak, ( which I loved because it was already seasoned so half of my job was already done ) and he also suggested I pair it with some delicious mash potatoes which had my sons asking for seconds. Hit or miss. Pricey and difficult to see what you are actually getting. Pricing system is confusing for some bc everything goes by the pound. Staff is very nice and some of the meats are pretty good.
