Smaller store but they still carry the essentials you need to get by. Staff is usually pretty friendly.

This store is a little smaller than others. Limited variety. Prices are good. Nice employees.

    Are dogs allowed inside?

I've seen dogs inside the store. I have never seen an employee stop them.

    Review Highlights - Target

So I stopped by this Target to pick up the essentials (clothing for a toddler, a gift bag, and tissue paper).

Let me tell y'all about my rollercoaster experience at Bob's Discount Furniture in Freeport, NY…read morebecause, baby, I walked in there READY FOR WAR. I had my armor on (read: my best "I'm not here to play" face) because, after all the customer service drama I've endured with Bob's, they had sent me a check for--wait for it--99 cents. Yes, you read that right. A whole dollar minus a penny. It cost more to cut and mail that check than to just refund me properly. The audacity! So there I am, mentally prepared for a showdown, walking in like, "Let's do this." I was greeted at the door all polite-like, and then they sent me to the back to see the manager. Enter Rebecca, the store manager, and I thought, Here we go.... My style is to lead with a smile, you know, kill 'em with kindness first, just in case that's all it takes. And y'all, let me tell you--Rebecca completely flipped the script. She greeted me warmly, looked up my info in the system like a total pro, and didn't even blink when I handed her the legendary 99-cent check. I was fully expecting an all-day back-and-forth battle, but nope. Rebecca handled everything in seven minutes flat. Seven minutes! I had cleared my entire schedule for this nonsense, and she resolved it so fast I barely had time to get annoyed. Not only did I get my money back, but Rebecca single-handedly restored my faith in Bob's customer service and, honestly, humanity. The whole experience gave me whiplash--in the BEST way possible. Oh, and let me not forget: I've got pieces from Bob's that I bought years ago, and they're still holding strong. The SOLID WOOD furniture (which is what I have)? A+ durability. The customer service? Thanks to Rebecca, it's back on my nice list. So if you're ever at Bob's in Freeport, ask for Rebecca. She's the real MVP, and thanks to her, I'm back to being a loyal Bob's customer. Just please, Bob's--no more 99-cent checks.

Furniture Gallery of Long Island - 2 3/4" misalignment

    Furniture Gallery of Long Island

    (8 reviews)

Public Service Announcement: FURNITURE GALLERY OF LONG ISLAND, 607 Sunrise Highway, Bellmore, NY…read more I recently purchased a high-end Flexsteel sectional and recliner from MICHAEL ACKER, the owner of FURNITURE GALLERY OF LI located on Sunrise Highway, Bellmore. Upon delivery, I noticed that the sectional did not align at all; the top, bottom, back, and front seams were completely off. Something was clearly wrong. After Mike's unsuccessful attempt to fix the alignment, he sent an outside field technician. Based on the field technician's multiple years' experience, he deemed the sectional a "manufacturer defect" and the furniture was removed from my home within 3 weeks of initial delivery. However, Mike thought it was acceptable to withhold $500 from me, the consumer. He basically charged me a fee for "defective" furniture; something I did not cause and had absolutely no control over. When asked why I am paying anything, Mike said he delivered it, picked it up, and spent time working the issue so I should pay; something he classified as "being fair." Mind you, I took time off from work for delivery and pick up, gave his men a generous cash tip, and spent numerous hours and experienced much aggravation to address the issue. Should I be reimbursed for that? I should also mention that Mike stated that the misalignment was "normal for some sectionals" and there was really "nothing wrong." Seriously? Neither he nor the field technician could repair the problem; and his field technician deemed it "defective" (I have the final report as proof). I reached out to a VP at Flexsteel (the manufacturer) for help. They informed me that the issue was resolved between them and Furniture Gallery of LI via Flexsteel's warranty process, which supports the "manufacturer defect" claim. After learning this, I decided to revisit Mike in his store to try and resolve this and give him another chance to return my money and make things right. Needless to say, we got nowhere. I am sharing some photos and a brief video so you can view and decide for yourself. Unfortunately, it has been a horrible experience with this local merchant. I have no furniture and I am out money for no reason of my own.

Sort of like mini physical history books.... However, if you saw my place you might think I was a minimalist (depending on the day I last feverously cleaned, of course). I don't collect very much, but I like to look.... and unlike many situations I can look AND touch. Woo! Wandering in to LIFEC's space is like going through a giant garage sale in an senior apartment complex basement at the end of the month when everyone moves out. Sure, there's junk but you'll also stumble upon so. many. TREASURES! Do you have an empty bedroom that needs something of interest? They probably have a set of nightstands, or a bench to put your shoes on. Maybe even a swanky vintage dresser from the 40s? Live out your mid century modern dreams, or collect pieces to create your own story. I've wandered in to search for props for parties (maps, globes, vintage luggage for a bridal shower!), to fill the gap in spaces in my own place (unique beer steins are where it's at) and even to get some basics (A set of folding chairs! A must have PRE-COVID). Prices are higher than a garage sale, for sure. I know you CAN haggle with them but I honestly won't. They're a charity/nonprofit. The last time I spoke with the owner I could tell both him and his staff had huge hearts. They honestly care about people and need as much resources (and capital) to bring about the the most change... Stop in. You won't regret it! Even if you don't take any treasures home.
