Couldn't resist stopping and seeing the new store. The new store opened in May 2025, it's down the block at 444 Hillside Ave. it's in an H Mart shopping plaza with lots of free parking in front. There is so much in this new store from gourmet foods, artistic bags, scarves, and umbrellas. Jewelry, giftware, a Christmas corner and lots of beautiful furniture. There are many empty shelves; it looks like a lot more is to come. My Portmerion dishes are gone. I found pickle ball gifts; I never leave Peter Andrew's empty handed.

Of nearly ten stores, The Bedroom Source's service and selection stood out, as there was no rush or pressure and plenty of high quality curated furniture to choose from. Unlike other stores, the employees here were more consultative. We found an option we really liked and Kelly helped walk us through the process and expected delivery. She gave us great personalized service and was very communicative throughout the whole process. In the end, the recliner was delivered even sooner than original anticipated, and we are very satisfied with the quality. Even the delivery experience was positive -- I'd never seen such an upbeat delivery driver. In a world of big box stores and cheap products, The Bedroom Source is a great reminder that shopping at a local family business can give you a great product with a great experience and a great price. We were the ones who eventually caught the store's mistake when reviewing the receipt, and when we did, the rep treated it very casually. Instead of taking real accountability, we were told there was only a '50/50 chance' of fixing it and that we might need to deal with a duplicate charge, essentially holding two charges at once, until the right bed was ready. A duplicate charge for a mistake that was not ours is not a solution. It is unfair and unacceptable, and now we'll have to wait at least an additional month for the correct bed to be delivered. This was not our mistake, yet the options presented still left us facing extra charges and unnecessary stress while this Macy's location avoided taking responsibility for its negligence. The way this store handled the situation showed careless customer service. They brushed off their own mistake instead of taking it seriously or being proactive, which forced us to escalate to another employee. We trusted Macy's because of its name, but this experience proved that reputation means nothing without real customer care. I wish I had looked at the Yelp reviews beforehand because it is clear my experience is not the only one like this. If you expect accountability or reliable customer service, look to another nearby furniture store in the area. Responsibility is simply not a part of how this Macy's location operates.

I was greeted immediately by Kevin and he asked questions offering to assist. He was very friendly and professional. I felt acknowledged and respected and given space to browse. I wasn't ready to make a decision that day, but I would return to this location based on Kevin being personable and his friendly greeting and giving me space to browse without asking me too many question.

They arrived in a van and were carrying what looked like a filthy Dyson. Upon entry into my condo one of the men began work on my couch while the other man asked to use the bathroom for which he stayed in for over ten minutes. After deficating in my bathroom I did not hear my sink turn on and could only assume he did not was his hands. I was forced to ask if he did. The other man was then cleaning my couch with the side that was not damaged resting upon his dirty shoes to keep it off the ground as he cleaned. They could not leave soon enough. I told them I would put everything back as I did not want the one man touching anything in my condo. So having one man make my couch dirtier in my opinion not knowing where his shoes have been and the other completely unsanitary Ashley's corporate contacted me after receiving the complaint and decided that replacing the cushion is all they can do. The cushion I have since repeatedly cleaned and sanitized as well as my condo. The cushion they should have replaced from the get-go instead of standing by the product and replacing a defective part. I am unhappy with being convinced to buy their extended warranty knowing that this is who they outsource to. Corporate even stated they picked this technician, which from the experience came from Craigs List. There was nothing professional about what occured. Especially living up the block from a 7-11 or Dunkin Donuts they chose to use my place as a rest stop for the 12 minutes that they were in my condo. 1 hour of work fine, less than 15 no. Having strangers in my place not affiliated with Ashley's put me in a very uncomfortable situation for which they feel they are not responsible.

They also have a huge storage area in the basement so you can reserve your fixtures months in advance before pickup. We made a 1/2 down payment so the price would remain the same or better when we went to pick it up. They will only charge you the current price if you don't make a down payment. So if it goes up, you're at a loss. They have a display area for the bulbs too, so you can see the level of brightness and whiteness/yellowness you're looking for. Their bulbs are all LED's now. They have a wide variety of fixtures and a wide variety of price ranges so it's easy for someone on a budget to find something suitable too. We got lucky and picked out four fixtures (two ceiling fans and two chandeliers) and bulbs prior to prices increasing the following month. When we went back to pick up the fixtures a few months later we saved several hundred dollars by having put 1/2 down. We could not be happier with how everything turned out! Happy shops!
