This Walgreens is pretty darn good in my book. I've been to nearly every Walgreens in Nassau County thus far (well, at least a good amount of them) and this location is a top contender for the best photo department around. They are one of my go-to locations to order online prints for pick up and they always do a stand-up job. I even had two custom shirts (one sweatshirt and one t-shirt) sent here and Walgreens knocked them out the park. My most commonly printed item is a 20x30'' poster board and while other locations have had challenges in the past with that specific size, they are always ready on time here at Freeport Walgreens. In fact, if I send it in the night before at 8-10pm, they are almost always ready by noon the next day. From my days working at a pharmacy when I was younger, I know how tiring and grueling it can be. Would give zero stars. This is THE WORST pharmacy ever! They need more people. You will be on that drive thru line for hours. The lines be ridiculously long with only 1 cashier. I am always there and there is always an issue with my prescription. They lie and say they sent your doctor an authorization request and NEVER do and only send it when the actual doctor calls them to see what is going on. Meanwhile I have picked up the same prescription for years then they all of a sudden need one. They are lazy. Super slow. They never notify you when your prescription is ready then They tell you to call ahead but have you on hold for 30 minutes. So you waste your time making a trip. They never have anything you need. The cashier at the drive through name is KIMBERLY told the manager EMELYN to tell the customer to call 1800 Walgreens. They are short staff and need help. The other cashier was yelling from behind the counter PLEASE CALL THAT NUMBER! We NEED U TO CALL THAT NUMBER! We Need help!! I finally got my prescriptions n walked away and asked two other managers for her name and they kept telling me they don't know. The cashier left her post while there was a long line approached me . I think 2 people, total, work in this store. And neither want to be there. J and I wanted to get passport photos done. Easier here than making an appt at the USPS. Or so we thought. We go in, one lady behind the register, nobody in Photo. We wait cuz we hear people in the room behind the Photo area. Finally a lady strolls up from the rear, asks if we need help, we tell her what we're there for, she says give her a few, and she disappears into that room. For minutes. Now, I'm a patient person. My husband, not so much. So he goes to the front and says hey, can we get some help. So she calls over the intercom for help to Photo. Then she says "what do you need?" "Passport pics" "yeah...Photo" as she points to the still empty counter. ......thnx. She intercoms a second time and that finally produces Ms. Disappearing Act. So, in case you haven't had photos done here - you stand in front of a dirty white screen, and someone takes your pic with an old digital camera then alters the background. For $14.99. Not the most professional setup but as long as the State Dept accepts my pics I guess I can't complain.....? Anyway, don't go here. I NEVER write reviews, but my experience at this location has been horrendous. This is the WORST pharmacy. Please do your research on Walgreens policies before using this pharmacy. They will out right lie to you to avoid admitting when they have made an error. BEWARE !!!!!! This is the worse Walgreens you could ever want to visit . The staff is rude . Even the night time manager . (short chubby black that looks like mr Brown from "Meet the Brown's") . He actually looks like the cheerful character but when you meet him he is rude , impolite and just grumpy . His answer to one customer was and I quote " I don't care , Walgreens can fire me , I don't mind getting unemployment for 6 months or so". Wow. Hey I respect his beliefs . So why does'nt Walgreens just fire him and hire a manager more customer friendly . Over the years I have met many customers of that store with bad experiences with this guy . I live in the neighborhood and this Walgreens is a poor excuse for a store. The only reason why it's busy is because it sells everyday necessities. The photo department is horrible, I ordered photo book and the book was put together backwards. They told me it was put together like this because of a new employee, and that I could easily fix it. That's not what I paid for. I also had a FedEx package held here because I missed it at home, and I had to spend 20 minutes listening to the cashier's conversation with one of her friends about some guy she was dating. Also, no one ever picks up the phone in photo... good luck getting to know if your photos are done. When I had ordered the photo book it took them 3 Days to put it together wrong. 1 hour photo my foot. The cashier's are also rude and somehow always annoyed at you for being a customer--not all of them, but most. This entire store needs to be canceled. read more

Terrible Walgreens. Go to the fed ex counter you'll have to wait 20 minutes before anyone attempts to help. Not to mention the workers just walking by you and not even asking if you need help. They clearly don't know how fed ex works and send you in your way without help. Such a waste of my time. Getting photos from this place is another adventure. I'll never go here again. Great locations but will travel out of way and transfer all prescriptions. Man in store walking proudly with no mask. Using shared item, photo machine. Yelling to employees for instruction, they answered. No one said anything to him about not wearing mask. One register open, while other employees walking around and chatting. . The pharmacist (her name is Nilufa Lasker) was so rude and nasty to me. She was cutting me off mid sentence! I couldn't even finish my replys, she made me so angry I started chocking up and started to cry. She didn't care! I was there asking about bandages and surgical tape options. She made me feel stupid for asking about the different types. She even made remarks saying "you must be stupid asking about bandages" as I walked away. I heard you! YOUR THE PHARMACIST! YOUR SUPPOSD TO HELP ME! The pharmacist's name is Nilufa Lasker! Stay away from here! I will be calling the board of pharmacy to complain about her. She's not fit to be a pharmacist. I ordered an item online from the Walgreens site and received an email telling me I could pick it up. 5 days later I went to the store to pick it up. I went to the photo section and as I waited on the line I noticed that the associate was being very courteous and respectful to the woman in front of me. When she was done and I approached the counter, his demeanor changed abruptly. He began acting distracted, busy, and disinterested. I told him that I had ordered something online. I pulled up the order details on my phone. He kept asking me "What are you here for? ...What do you need?" as I was doing this so, again, I told him I ordered something online and I'm pulling up the order information on my phone. He replied "Oh" and walked away from the counter. When he came back I showed him the order details. Then he said "What is it you ordered?" so I scrolled down and showed him the picture of my item. He then went in the back and looked for it, came back, and asked me for the tracking number, so I showed it to him. He then said "I don't know, I don't see a package here... What's the number?" When I showed him the tracking number again, he said "No, the fed ex number" and picked up the Walgreens phone to call. I looked on the order details page and said "I don't see any fed ex phone number here. Are you talking about the Walgreens phone number?" He said "No, I need the number to call fed ex." So I looked on the page some more and gave him the only other phone number I saw. That number ended up being the Walgreens number when he called it. So then he asked me when the order came and I told him the date, and he told me that the fed ex guy came there and picked up some packages that were there, and that some packages were sitting there for a while and they pick up packages that have been sitting there too long. So I told him that my email didn't come with any deadline for when I needed to pick up the package and that I hadn't gotten an email saying that my order had been cancelled. He then said "Your package isn't here." I found the fed ex number online and then told him I found the fed ex phone number and asked if he was going to call them. He said "No. Your package isn't here." I stared at him. He then said " Ma'am, you need to call fed ex." I asked "Why would I have to call fed ex when I made the order through Walgreen's website?" He said "MA'AM, Your package isn't here. You NEED to call fed ex." I said "That doesn't make any sense. I didn't get any email saying I should call fed ex. Why would I have to contact fed ex when I made this order through Walgreens?" And he said "There's nothing I can do for you." I asked to speak to the manager and he said he was the manager. So I said I need to speak to someone higher up than you, to which he replied "There's no one higher up than me. I'm telling you what you need to do. You need to call fed ex." The whole time he was talking he had a huge attitude that I tried my best to disregard but at this point I got visibly annoyed. I said "NO, I'm going to call Walgreens." He then said "MA'AM, I'm TRYING to help you. What you need to do is call fed ex and find out where your package is." I said "No, you're NOT trying to help me." Then he said "Ma'am, you need to- " and I cut him off and said "I'm done" because he was being very condescending with his tone and talking slow like I was a disabled person and I didn't want to lose my temper. I walked away and got on the phone to call Walgreens. I had to leave the store eventually because I was on hold for a total of an hour before getting someone. The representative I spoke to online told me that I did not have to call fed ex and that he should not have told me to call fed ex. She also said that my package had been checked in at the store which means it should have been there at the store. Thankfully the phone representative shipped the item to my house free as a courtesy. I picked up something that I ordered online from Target the same day and was in and out in 5 minutes. Target is in the shopping center down the street going towards Merrick. CVS is down the street in the other direction going towards Baldwin. Much better options. Worth the extra distance. read more
