I remember when this outlet mall opened in 2008. My children were small and I was happy I did not have to drive all the way to Riverhead. We spent many late summers, shopping for school clothes. Many winters shopping for coats and boots. And many lunches/dinners were had here! Timberland, Nike, Gap, Old Navy, GUESS are all represented here. And so many more! Coach, Kate Spade, Zales, Movado and Banana Republic are some of my favorites. Johnny Rockets, Nathan's, Chipotle are available for your after movie meal. Did I mention Regal Deer Park movie theater is also here? The ice rink in the winter and holiday decorations according to the season are always lovely. Although I miss The Christmas Tree Shops that went out of business, this is one of my favorite outdoor outlet malls. I must admit, I get lost each and every time I go there! The maps always confuse me...LOL. However, I do manage to always find the restrooms! I always find exactly what I'm looking for here and the prices are reasonable. read more

There are only 100 plus reasons to go to Tanger outlets, you just need to find your reason or reasons. On 2/12 my group of four people found our way to the outlet since we were less than 07 miles away. I visited the UGGs store, IT'SUGAR, while others visited Nike and Calvin Klein. There hours are 10-9 Mon- Sat and 10-7 on Sun, seasonal changes apply. I didn't buy anything but sometimes it's good to window shop to see what kind of discount and sales you may score. They do have restrooms located in specific spots outside of the restaurants and store, do don't go thinking that you can use restroom inside a place that you visit. Parking is plentiful so park, walk over to the outlets grab a map, mark your starting point on the map and shop away. Pro tip - if you get the Phili cheesesteak, you might want to ask for extra meat. So many wonderful things to do at Tanger, obviously shopping, possibly catching a movie, or grabbing a bite to eat at their many eateries, but in addition to this, I would definitely recommend visiting their tenants at the Christmas Land Experience. Upon entering, you can either take the stairs or the elevator up to the second floor to check in with the host, Present/purchase your tickets, and begin your adventure by venturing through their displays. You'll be given a wristband, one per family, to scan in specific rooms to take pictures, which will ultimately be sent to your phone. Each room that we viewed was nicely decorated with a different holiday theme. From Gingerbread and Santa's Workshop to Nightmare Before Christmas and A Christmas Story, my family and I had a great time capturing photos and creating new memories. One thing I would advise is going earlier in the day, as the rooms can fill up quickly, causing a line to form, but as long as you have a little patience, you'll be just fine. This was such a great way to get into the Christmas spirit. A unique space featuring interactive activities, that will keep the kids entertained for hours. Awesome Staff, Well Kept Space, and Reasonably Priced Tickets! I absolutely enjoy coming to this small. They are always adding new things and there's so much great shopping to do here. I especially love their Christmas land ny popup! I come every year. There's also a bath and body works nearby that i love. Staff is so nice and helpful here. The crocs store also always has great selection and we normally eat at chipotle. The bathrooms are always clean as well. I do not recommend coming too close to holidays as parking here is a nightmare during those times but otherwise, great mall read more

I do not like this Tanger Outlets at all after going to J Crew factory. This J Crew is weaker than the one in Riverhead. It is small in my opinion and has fewer options than the Riverhead location. Also the store is ugly and dingy. Looks weird. I will not be returning to this Tanger Outlets location anytime soon. I will definitely make a bigger trip to the one in Riverhead with more stores than this location. So disappointing. Also parking sucks here. You cannot find a good spot! read more

If I closed my eyes for a SECOND I would swear I was walking around ROCKEFELLER CENTER or even THE WINTER VILLAGE in NYC. Tanger Vibes that feeling when your there. I feel like I am walking amongst the "Elite", like in shopping. This is the place to be for deals and the Big Name Brands. Perhaps Tanger should consider a High End Restaurant at the mall? Fine dining and shopping? Hmmm sounds interesting. I was there by their huge Christmas tree which doubles as an ice skating rink. They were actually having a show for the patrons, but I couldn't stay bummer. *Bathrooms: Are very clean and spread out at different locations of the mall. *Parking: Is plentiful, some areas get more crowded than others depending obviously on the cluster of popular stores. If you don't mind walking all that much (highlighted in YELLOW enclosed picture) is where you'll find me parking when I don't want to be mobbed. Easy to exit as well. Parking in Green highlited area SEMI crowded and in Red Highlited HEAVY PARKING. *SAFETY: In all the years I have shopped there I have NEVER seen riff raff, fights or even a heavy police presence. Hope it stays that way. *Looks like pets allowed also, fido will be happy. Winter time will be perhaps too cold to walk around outside. Employees are all very kind and willing to help in general with the exception of 1-2 stores (will not mention names) otherwise a 5 star. I don't come here often at all. This place is pretty far from where I am, and wish they were closer I will be shopping here more often! People here are so nice, every individual from every store we went in ever were so friendly and nice! I wish the world was like it here! I didn't intend to shop or needed anything, but I found a small Crossbody bag, Athleta, thought it would be useful when I travel in Europe this fall. I came because my friend wanted to shop here. She likes to come here once twice three times a year. I happen to see Sephora so I went in to pick up my birthday gift, and again they were so nice!! I'm gonna try to shop here more often maybe four times a year, once in each season! It's not a 5 star but I gave a four star because the Crossbody bag I purchased I paid 20% off $35 but i just saw it online it's 50% off $35. Toys R us represented a large warehouse size toy store, not a store front with horrible toys selections. Prices will seem high in comparison to online shopping, but at least kids can experience walking through store and picking out their toy. read more

Fun fact, I've been here before and completely forgot that I've been here before! Still a solid outlet. We were in Islip to take my SFIL to a guitar store in the area and we needed somewhere to kill time. Friends who live in LI recommended Tanger Deer Park, which was about 20 minutes away from where SFIL needed to be. We spent about 2.5 hours at the outlet and had a good time. I like that they have a giant Dick's outlet here, which I've never seen before at other outlets. They also have all the typical suspects like Levi's, J.Crew Factory, and Cole Haan. We didn't get to all the stores, but were able to find some solid items in the stores that we did get to. read more

This was my first time in this outlet and I enjoyed my quick visit. The grounds were very clean and there was a lot of signage to help you find the stores you want. I was coming to check out the Nike outlet for some new sneakers and saw they had a ton of other stores. You can spend an entire day here shopping and eating. I checked out the Nike store that was packed and lines were long but I got my cheap sneakers. I also checked out one of my favorite stores, the Christmas tree shop but to my surprise it was pretty empty with a lot of bare walls. I guess they were recuperating from the after holiday rush. LOL.. They have a few places to eat but I didn't indulge in any food. There's plenty of parking. I do plan on returning and checking out some other shops. read more

We always enjoy walking around this "village." However, a big storm knocked out power to half the stores and restrooms a couple days before our visit. The upside was there weren't many shoppers to compete with us for space. So, even the stores with lines to go in were a breeze. Just a couple minutes wait time. The only downside to this "village" design is we get lost every time we come here. Specific stores are hard to find as you try to navigate around. And then you have to find your car afterwards since the parking surrounds the entire complex. But, that's a minor inconvenience. If you're not in a hurry, it's a nice stroll. I've been to Tanger Outlet numerous times. They have a lot of nice stores but my ultimate favorite is Michael Kors. It's typically up to 70% off every time I go so it makes for good quality, cheap priced hand bags. I also love The Nike Factory, they don't hold many discounts there but you can still score at a decent price. Bathrooms are always clean and spotless which I appreciate. Even on the most crowded days the bathrooms are well kept. There are also numerous bathrooms throughout Tanger. There are many little places to eat at and even restaurants like Red Lobsters, Miller Ale House and more. The only thing I found silly was having to pay $5 for a coupon book at a vending machine. Why on earth would someone want to spend money while trying to save money? They don't even know what in the booklets as far as savings go, because it's in a vending machine. That's dumb if you ask me and I'm an extreme couponer so seeing that made me laugh my butt off. I would NEVER pay $5 if I'm trying to save $5 lol. There are some amazing stores with great deals. You can always find fantastic items on sale, and they constantly have awesome sales!

This outlet is always enjoyable to come to. I live out the way a little bit so when I do come here it's like a whole other world. They have many shops to choose from. It's always clean and the look of it is homey and welcoming. The outside areas is lined with trees, flowers and benches. It almost looks like a botanical garden with the floral arrangements along the corridors. There are fountains placed on the inner part of the outlet and plenty of outside seating. There are some stores that were closed but the majority of the stores were opened. read more

I love this Tanger! Have been to a number of outlet malls over the years, and this is one I have returned to a number of times. It's especially gorgeous and festive during the holiday season (haha obviously). But it's really beautiful with the skating rink and the huge nutcrackers and the lights and trees. One of the best places to do your holiday shopping. If not for the holiday prices (bc honestly didn't always find THE best deals for holiday shopping), then at the very least for the experience. You'll definitely get the holiday feel in the air. Speaking of holidays, I have to mention one of my favorite stores in the entire outlet: the Christmas Tree Shops. It's like a combination of Walmart and Home Goods haha. Yes interesting combination, but that just means you'll find a variety of interesting items! Also enjoy the As Seen On TV store. The random-seeming stores are often the best. And then of course we have the brand names like Nike and Coach. Perhaps I'm expecting too much, but sometimes it does feel like I don't exactly get outlet prices at the factory store and may as well purchase from the actual store. But that's not to say you can't get lucky and find some sweet deals. I like the selection of food places like Chipotle and Starbucks. Never went to the movie theater there (and likely will not anytime soon, especially during these COVID times), but I do think it's cool (and a little random) that there is a theater in the middle of the outlet mall. Or maybe it isn't so random; I just haven't seen one at other outlet malls I've been to. It's safe to say that I will be here again in the future. read more

I don't know what it is; but most of the times I came to this place I usually have came back to the car and bought nothing. That's rare because I do love shopping. I would say it's nice to walk around and the highlight of this place is during winter. Heard of a target that's around here, would love to give that a try! Parking space is vast. And the place is clean and safe to around ! If and when it rains, you definitely need an umbrella and some rain boots. This place was an absolute mess on Black Friday. The police had to be called, the workers and security showed no authority or organization to control anything and just didn't care. The deals were weak and the best I saw was 35% off basically. There's lots of stores but with that comes small stores filled with people with lines to get in of 30+ minutes and lines of 30+ minutes to pay for what you want. Ridiculous!! read more

I come to this outlet at least once a year. It's about a 50 minute drive from my house. Not as far as the outlets in Riverhead. The options range depending on what you're looking for. I like Ann Taylor Loft for work clothes. Nike for sportswear. Yankee Candle for candles and fragrances. There are lots of stories to choose from. There is a movie theater and a few eating options. Starbucks and Haggen Das are also available. We usually stick with Johnny Rockets for a quick meal before we shop. There's usually a coupon on Yelp that can be applied for a discount. I do wish more coupons that are available applied here. Since they are outlets, retail coupons can't be applied. Overall a decent outlet experience that has an outdoor feel. read more

I didn't appreciate outlets until now. Really glad a closer Tanger opened up. When I think of this outlet, I think of really packed parking lots and rainy days spent running from store to store. Sound like a fun time? I've been here 6 times in the past year and every time whether it is a regular Saturday or Memorial Day or going to the July 4th deals, it is always raining. I've got to say, this outlet isn't very rain-friendly. Today, there was the annual Tanger food truck event. Last year, it brought in 17,000 people. You've got to bring your patience with you before coming here. I went to Smorgasburg earlier this week, so waiting on line for one hour for a philly cheesesteak in 80 degrees really wasn't something I enjoyed. I think the speed of all the trucks need to be fixed for the event next year because a lot of people got fed up with waiting. I did love the farmer's market section at the heart of Tanger though. I got a rosemary plant and checked out some of the vegetables and breads. The great part of Tanger is that their bathrooms are very clean and there are water fountains and food every few steps. There is also a huge theatre for whoever doesn't want to shop with the rest of the family. This is a very child-friendly outlet. Christmas Tree Shop is my favorite place to go when I want to buy things but am not sure what I need to get. Unlike the rest of the store where you could blow $80 buying a pair of shoes or a new pair of pants, Christmas Tree Shop carries little whale shaped cheese crackers and over a dozen brands of hair products. Loved these outlets! I've been to other locations of theirs. I found this outlet to be super convenient to get to. They had a wide variety of stores. The layout was very easy to walk through - and, it was super clean! I went in several of the stores at Tanger - Polo, Nike, Francesca's, Neiman Marcus, Lids, IT'SUGAR - the sales associates were all very friendly and knowledgeable. I was surprised for an outlet that there weren't too many shoppers here, which I liked. I thought it was an easy shopping experience, because it wasn't too crowded. I went on a week day afternoon. I would definitely recommend that this would be a good time to go. If I was in the area, I would definitely stop back at these outlets. read more
