I don't go to Marshall's often but when I do I usually leave with something. At the beginning of summer I stocked up on beach blankets and cooler and lunch bags all in fun prints. I went to use the cooler bag on Saturday and the zipper popped off the first time I used it. I had tossed out the receipt but they let me exchange the bag with no problem. Other items I crave are the cute clothes, name brand shoes, and great bags and purses. I really love the Lily Bloom brand in whimsical prints and they make their bags out of recycled water bottles. Marshall's also carries the most lush beach towels. When you find a clearance tag you can save even more off their low prices. If you like name brands but not paying full price then Marshall's is a great store to explore.

I hit or miss at Marshall's, but I always seem to leave this place with something I don't need. This particular location is tidy. The men and children's sections are not as big and well stocked as the women section, but they're worth checking out. I especially like to check out in the housewares area. Since they are owned by the same company as HomeGoods, they carry a lot of the same.

I guess you could describe this place as kind of like Burlington but even lower prices. Think no frills, small-ish selection of "urban streetwear" as well as accessories and some home goods. Lots of shirts with Bart Simpson on them for some reason, and a decent selection of Rap Snacks. They have layaway, which you almost never see anymore. Big up's to them for that. I was looking for a dress, and I found a super cute one for only $7.99 that I got a ton of compliments on. I'll probably hitting up Citi Trends more often when I see one thanks to this visit.

Citi Trends is an a more "urban active" type of shop. It's pretty large. They play good r&b music which is always fun to bop around to while trying to find some clothing. I love the shirts there. They have fun things there, as well as plenty of things that aren't my style, but overall I like them. If you like shirts with Biggie and Tupac, then, like me, you'll think this place is amazing. The store is set up well and is organized. Nothing messy or off the racks. The staff busily keeps this place tidy. They are more than helpful. I needed to use the fitting room which was very clean. Nothing worse than going into a fitting room that has clothes in it! Unfortunately I didn't buy anything my last trip, but that doesn't mean I haven't. I love that they sell DVD's and CD's as well. You can get pretty much anything here. I mean, it's not a Marshalls, but thank goodness it isn't. Citi Trends is fun. Everyone needs a little fun. If you see me trying on shirts from "Empire" feel free to say hi!

There was a gal vacuuming at the time we came by. The vacuum was heating up and smoking a bit, so she was concerned. There were also some students or volunteers or young new employees -- I couldn't tell which -- being given a tour of the store as we were there. Both were a bit distracting. They have some inventory that will appeal depending on what you're looking for... they don't have much furniture wise. There's a bit of a bunch of different things --linens, housewares, silverware, electronics, books, clothing etc., etc. Most things are organized together by category. Price wise, it's a mix of decent prices and high prices. They have some of the more expensive items near the counter. We didn't love something enough to buy anything here. But we are still glad we came to check them out.

At first their inventory was made up of there own items but now everything they sell is donated. I love their mission which is to help animals. The Shed Thrift is a nonprofit that donates its proceeds to various veterinary hospitals in the area to support people on social security or limited income who need life-saving surgeries for their pets. I collect vintage pieces and Shed Thrift had some items like a chandelier and a set of glasses. They also had furniture, appliances, bikes, guitars, household goods, collectibles, books, movie, CD's, clothing, accessories, and more. With the influence of DIY shows showcasing recycling and re-purposing, thrifting is more popular than ever. Thrift stores help people save money and keep items out of the landfill. Shed Thrift has some unique items like a jukebox that you didn't typically see in the local area thrift stores. With their mission to help vulnerable pets, this store is an assist to Coral Springs.

There's also a sign that says WE CHECK RECEIPTS. I go about my shopping and the stock is sparse to me, compared to other discount stores. The toy shelves are messy, as always. Not much in home goods. What they do have are annoying buzzing alarms going off at the front and the back of the store. I went to pay for my two items.
