Service is depending on the store you visit, the selection is the same they do always have what I am looking for so I can't complaint, even though the stores have changed quite a bit in selection, amount and merchandise I think before they had more to choose from. The layout has also changed quite a bit. But still have lots to choose from. Most importantly the values great prices for name brands without breaking your pocket. I visit Burlington stores quite often and have so for many years. Lately I know it's a "hit or miss" with the service and quality of checkout. But today was ridiculous! At this store in particular which I have visited before and have seen better organization. It was only 3 pm & a weekday. There was a line at checkout mixed with people doing returns and purchases. After standing in line for almost 10 to 15 minutes a woman employee with short hair came up to ask everyone in the line if they were returning or purchasing. The woman in front of me had one return I had three returns. She said "no returns"! Then proceeded to take everyone from behind us to the back of the line and let them cut in front of us and opened up 2 cashiers for them specifically!!! I asked where the return line was and again she said "no returns"! Her and the gentleman who had a tag saying supervisor were the two that handled all the back of the line while we continued to stand in line for another 25 minutes waitingeven longer! After they cleared the back of the line while we were all standing there they walked away and were chatting amongst themselves then finally noticed that we were still in line and went back then calling us up. The gentleman who had supervisor on his tag helped me with my return and I asked him why did you take the whole back of the line letting them go before us? He said they took people with five items or less which was not true! I said you just made us wait that much longer while you helped everybody else who was standing behind us who didn't have to wait. Most people who work in retail know that returns are usually quicker than ringing up purchases, especially at Burlington where they load up the shopping carts! I also informed him that oddly enough, a majority of the line that was taken behind us we're the same ethnicity as the woman employee who pulled them forward and the ones that were standing to do returns & a few purchases were more Caucasian! He had no response and just said I'm sorry. I know it's hard to find help and even good help these days, but come on Burlington this is unacceptable!!! read more

They are obviously closing the store, although there are no signs saying so - - just sale signs : up to 50% off. Some departments are not included so look inside for those signs (eg. housewares; beauty supplies, etc.). And the adjustments of things on sale are done at the register... so check if in doubt. Anyhow, I came here actually looking to buy a new purse. There were some, but nothing caught my eye. There's very little inventory left here in the women's shoe department, as well. There are a lot of clothes, however. If you're into bargain hunting, you have to have patience to walk up and down the aisles. Some of the stuff is a bit mixed up by sizes. I find it's easier to figure out the color of your size tag and look for that in each aisle you walk by. That way you can pick out the color of the misplaced garments. If you need work clothes, there's plenty of blazers and dresses. And a section of very dressy dresses. I didn't find any clothes I liked, but my husband did get some designer shirts for under $9 each. There also isn't much left in the housewares department. Most items have been grouped at the end caps. But here's where I got two great buys. One was a creuset fluted flan dish that sells at Macy's for $50.... on sale for $9.95!!! The other item I got is an adorable hanging wind chime for only $2.99. It will be perfect for either outside or on a door -- I haven't decided which. But at that price I couldn't pass it up... I guess even in the areas where there's not much inventory left, if you find something that fits at the right price point... then you might want to come here and check out what's left. There aren't dressing rooms, btw. So, although I didn't get the purse I came for, I felt it was worth my while coming here and finding two things that I know I'll use and love. read more

The fun thing about Burlington is that you can find great buys here. The bad thing is, you can't plan on it. They have what they have and it changes often. If you see something here you like, get it when you see it. When you come back, it will be gone and they won't be getting another. Considering how many people come through, I'm impressed with how clean the store always is. But they are not perfect. They really need to send the workers through the store area and re-shelve the merchandise. Especially in the show section. I often find a pair I love in my section only to find it's the wrong size. Also, open more registers. They have about a dozen but half are always closed. The line is consistently all the way down the queue and often wraps around it but they still only have half of the registers open. Open them all. When you move the customers through faster, you'll get better reviews, and more customers. You'll make more money. read more

I have been to this store a few times now. It is like any other discounted retail store only bigger. I'm typically in to check their accessory department, since they sell spectacular looking fashion jewelry very inexpensively. The rest of the store overwhelms me. There are racks and racks with all kinds of clothes which don't seem to have much rhyme or reason to them. There are sections, such as children's, big and tall, shoes etc, but a lot of it is misplaced. They also carry home decor and home accessories. Quality isn't great, these items do look on the inexpensive side, but dishes and gadgets are cheaper than say, HomeGoods and are the same brands. I've also gotten Samsonite luggage cheap $80 for huge ones with 360 rolling wheels. Good store to look for odds and ends. Clothes are apparently cheap, but I don't have the time or patience to go through all those messy racks. Their shoes are on the expensive side considering they are mostly plastic. I have yet to see a leather pair of shoes there. I'd definitely be back to get more accessories though. read more

If you've never been here, I'll try to walk you through it. This store is enormous. There are clothes for all ages as well as shoes. It's kind of like a huge TJ Maxx or Ross. Many items kind of look as if they are not this years styles, but a few did. They have men's tall sizes which are kind of hard to find, dress shirts by decent makers that are very inexpensive for every day. I saw some Buffalo branded jeans as well as Nike and 9 West shoes. The prices kind of vary, I noticed a cute, pink DKNY bag for spring that was $99.00, 9 West pumps for $35. Prices vary and they don't have discounts or coupons. The store sells housewares and jackets and baby items but so much clothes. It might be a good choice for a teenage boy if you look hard. The store wasn't very crowded and they had several cashier lanes open. It was pretty neat and organized. I also noticed that they gave an in house alterations department. I didn't get through the entire store, but the Easter and household goods were cute. They have a lot of lower end brand designer fragrances as well. I might go back to look around for home decor. I was searching for a raincoat (trench with a removable hood) and I figured Burlington would have a nice selection, after all they are a coat factory. My visit here was mind boggling to say the least. Not terrible because I wound up finding a few things that I liked a lot, just not a coat. How can two sales people in a store that specializes in coats not know what a trench coat is? It's not like I was asking for the newest coolest item that the kids are wearing these days. Trench coats have been around for many decades and they are popular with both men and women. A classic style that is always in style. I didn't find the trench coat but I did find some great holiday gifts for a few people on my list. The home decor department is excellent for gifts~can you believe the holidays are right around the corner? The sales people were friendly and they were trying to be helpful in my search for a new coat. I do think they need to be educated in different coat styles, at least the basics would be a great help. Thirty minutes in the home decor department allowed me to cross three friends off of my Christmas / Hanukkah list! My friend suggested I check out L.L. Bean for a coat and wouldn't you know that I found a great selection of trench coats with removable hoods! If I was in the area and in search of a gift or something for myself, I wouldn't think twice about taking another walk through the home decor department. read more

The review is for Coral Springs & Sawgrass .... I had to wait 45 min in line at Coral Springs which I understood since it was 12/24. I went back on 12/31 to return some items and purchase others....the wait for over 2 hours so I walked out. I decided to try the Sawgrass store since they have 2 check out points on 01/04 even once. Only 1 check out was open and the wait was close to 3 hours long. WTH I need to return some items before the window expires but there is no way I have time for BS. Boca Store .... fitting rooms have been "temporarily closed" for over 3 months so you are forced to purchase go home try on and if it doesn't work go back and return them...again WTH I understand this is not Bloomingdales or Macy's however it is a business and should be run a bit better. Not to mention THE MESS in all the stores. Sawgrass was the worst. To top if off all stores have employees walking around on their phones chit chatting and doing NOTHING! Not mention while I have been in line, I've called the store asked for a manager who picked up said I'll be right back....20 min later I had to hang up call back and she was EXTREMELY RUDE & NASTY. Tis the season to visit Burlington Coat Factory. I had been to one back in 1990 but it was located in sawgrass mills mall. I noticed one close to where I live on west sample road in the turtle creek shops. I had some gifts to get for my buddy dougs birthday and some for christmas gifts for friends so I decided to go in and have a look. The store is an all in one type shop with home gifts to clothing to food items and shoes. Its not just a coat factory as a matter of fact I only saw a small amount of coats to be honest! Shopping was fun and I got some nice gifts (ones I would like) and found a line with one person in front of me. Check out was easy and simple and I left with three bags full of goodies! This store is huge. I usually come in when my daughter and I are in need of a nice dress. Usually I am not a fan of endless racks filled with mismatched clothes but it's not too difficult to go through the racks here and the departments are clearly marked. In addition to ladies clothes they carry juniors, children, babies, and men's. They have all of the adorable Easter dresses out for the girls right now. If you find something you like it is very affordable and they also have additional clearance all over the store. Besides an endless amount of clothes they carry accessories, shoes, snacks, exercise items, gardening supplies, luggage, and home goods. They carry similar items to Marshalls, T J Max, and Ross but so much more of it. You can find designer brands at bargain prices. This is a great place to shop if you need a gift for someone. Unfortunately I can't give this store negative stars. My Mom and I arrived at the store at 3pm and were VERY rudely told they weren't letting anyone else in the store because of the 9pm curfew and they had to be sure their employee's could get home in time. The curfew DOES NOT pertain to people coming home from their jobs. We drove 45 min to this location, my Mom is 92yrs old and went there specifically for one item. In the meantime other customers were also very upset they couldn't enter the store and we were all told to come back the next day, well that's not happening at for us. I frequently visited Burlington as a kid to buy cheap winter coats (I'm from Minnesota) and I never really thought about going there as an adult Bc TJ max and Marshall's were closer to my house! But, little did I know Burlington carried the same brands/items with better prices. I found Ivanka trump, Sam Edelman, Steve madden and dolce vita heels for half the price I would at tj max!! This place is the poor man's TJ Maxx, which speaks volumes. I'm not sure why I decided to visit this store in the first place. I had noticed it while driving home from work and decided to see what it had to offer. Upon first entering the store, I noticed that there was an unpleasant odor. That was the first bad sign. Then once I took a look around I noticed that the displays were very cheap and unattractive looking, all racks looking like they were on clearance. I browsed around and found nothing of interest except for a 3 pack of cute leggings, which of course were 3 sizes too small. I didn't notice any real accesory department either, just a few cheap displays of costume jewelry. I will definitely not be returning here in the future. I give this store 5 stars!! Why?? The store was very clean when I walked in, in fact the parking lot was clean and easy parking. Secondly, we were greeted by a Hello :-) from an employee, all the aisles were marked well and wide aisles to maneuver your cart around. I've shopped Burlington since I was a child back in Maryland. Well this store here really puts me into headache mode. I used a Burlington in Kennesaw, GA that was GREAT! I could get in, find stuff, and get out in 20 minutes! Well not so fast at this location. Here are the things I have noticed: 1) We have no carts! We prefer shoppers walk our huge marketplace without the ability to add to the list of things they want - so we will keep all carts full of clothing that needs to be placed back on selling racks! 2) We have people in the dressing room to watch you but they are so overworked they only shout at you when you come in to ask "How Many". Meanwhile you finally notice that's where all the carts are and the reason you have aching shoulders at this point carrying a flower vase, pair of shoes, and clothes. 3) We keep our shoe department complete a mess so that you cannot try on any of the shoes you are interested in because we will make sure that at least 1 shoe be it the left or right foot is missing from about 79% of our shoe inventory. We make sure you cannot find assistance in this department and if you do they are liable to be kind with a very overworked look on their faces *You will be wondering why they look so tired and overworked when you see the shoes all over the place.....they are not that convincing. 4) We do not want you to know that most of our stores actually carry great looking accessories and only our store neglects the accessory department. 5) WE DO NOT WANT YOU TO LEAVE WITH OUR MERCHANDISE. While we understand we want you to shop in more than 10,000 square ft of space, we want to be sure you do not leave with ANYTHING. We promise to keep only 2 working lines open with 6 workers standing around looking at you change your mind and walk out the door. Do not ask one of our managers to open an additional register because she will only scream at you to make you leave everything and march out of the store. We want you to stand in line with us with all your merchandise in your arms, in pain, sweaty, tired, and miserable at least 30 minutes or more before checking out. These are the words I get when I go to that Burlington Coat Factory. It's so funny, but this place has helped me save so much money because after all it takes to find clothing in there or anything you like for that matter, by the time you see the line you suddenly notice that there is a Ross directly across the parking lot that you can go to! This place is pretty awful. One of the reviews mentioned several points about the store back in 2010, and they are all still 100% true today. The whole store is designed very weird. Everything is laid out in such a way that you are not really sure where to look first for something you want. It's very ugly in here, and the store overall has that "dirty" feel to it (kind of like when you walk into a Walmart). Nothing is organized. This can't be stressed enough. The shoes look like they've been strewn all over the place for a week, and nobody has bothered to fix them. I went once during lunchtime, and they were like that. Lunchtime. Does a section get THAT messed up in such a short amount of time? Maybe it's a game: Once you find a shoe you really like, try and find the matching foot somewhere in the pile! It's hidden in here somewhere! The clothes are just as bad. Aside from the fact that there appears to be no flow of progression here with the categories of items, the signs themselves are somewhat misleading and inaccurate. For instance, if you look in the kids section for shorts 4-10 (which is a broad category), you'll find 8, 9, and 10 (and a few 11s, but whatever). Where did 4-7 go? Oh wait, they're on ANOTHER rack. The home furnishings section is oddly reminiscent of when you don't really want to clean something (like your room, or the kitchen counter), so you just push and stack stuff up against each other and line them up so it "looks" neat. Either way, it's not great. The place is huge, so I guess some of the headache of trying to organize it can be chalked up to that... but it's not excusable. It just makes it harder for customers to actually find what they're looking for. And to top everything off, there are only two registers available at any given time. So if you didn't spend enough time looking for your Easter eggs, now you can waste an almost equal amount of time sitting and waiting to walk out the door with your bounty. Well, you've invested enough time finding the stuff and walking around with it over your shoulder (couldn't find any carts anywhere), you might as well just stick it out so at least you'll finally have something to show for it. The Burlington Coat Factory at Sawgrass Mall is the polar opposite of this place. Go there instead. If you're set on going to a Burlington, go there. It's worth the drive to avoid this place. Otherwise, you're better off at Ross, Marshall's, or TJ Maxx. read more

I have to add a positive comment amongst all the negative. The manager of this store - RICK - is extremely nice - as well as all the cashiers or employees I have had an experience interacting with. Yes, this store could use a little TLC, yes it needs new carpet, yes it could use some serious organization. But the most important thing is that they do carry great merchandise for rock bottom prices, and the staff is nice, helpful, and friendly. when I came to Florida for vacation, we always stopped in here for swim wear or a dress for future gatherings, etc. I normally wondered around to the home section and get lost in all the great looking things that I wished I could pack into my suitcase. Before I moved to fl, the last time I visited was about 2 years ago and the layout of the store wasn't as great as it could've been but I mean the great deals I get here, the last thing I was worried about was an extra clothing rack out of place. however I came back about a month ago for the first time in a long time and I was happily surprised to see a huge renovation! everything has a huge section for itself. I mean they really have so many different things and sections and its so roomy now. Im not sure if it was extended but from the way it was redid you would honestly think so. the deals are still as great. I was really surprised to see a lot of bigger name brands. I bought a shirt for my mom at a the mall only to see almost the identical thing here from less than half the price!. I also love that they carry CHI products and hair tools. Even though bio silk and chi are made by the same company, i am still happy to see that they have both in stock since sometimes stores tend to carry one items much more than the other. The dress sections have dresses for every occasion. I got my Easter dress and some other church dresses here for about 15$ each where normally they are about 35$ so again, not sure how they do it but I'm glad they do! They do have more women's shoes than men's but no complaints here lol. I came in one day and notice there were tags that were covered up by a lower price and some items I had were not, so I asked this women working in the women's department. She was busy scanning items and retagging them but as I approached, she stopped what she was doing and completely turned to face me and help me out, she even let me know where I could find more marked down items. Super friendly. the managers here are really nice as well, Three of them were around the cashiers, keeping an eye on things. They helped tidying up here and there and one of them was even helping the cashier bag the customers item. Everyone seemed to be comfortable working together. My cashier was really friendly as well and let me know there was a survey to take, which I always love doing for other stores too, she made eye contact, smiled even asked if there were more like one of the tops I bought. it was really sweet of her. i find myself coming here much more than going to the mall recently. read more

It took us over 20 min to get through the register lines!!! Why!!!! Why!!! Why!!! It's 11 days before christmas and this is unacceptable.
